Using the "Reboot" excuse for this isn't a particularly good argument. Take away any sort of reference of DMC, and you still get a completely mediocre and glitchy mess. The writing is incredibly low-brow and immature, enough to feel as if it was written by than ten-year old who discovered his first swear word. The combat is a watered down mess, with the awful controls and lacking of directional input limiting you to much less than even games such as the God of War series. The enemies don't vary much, and all of the bosses follow the trend of "giant and slow."

If you want to think I'm bandwagoning by supplying reasons as to why the game is bad, then that's your opinion. Doesn't mean your opinion is right.
