Administrative and Marketing Assistant

Metis Machine is looking for a motivated, high-energy and enthusiastic personality to manage administrative and marketing tasks.  Our team is small but the stuff to do is big!

_What you’ll be doing_
* Managing schedules, calendar and coordinating calls and meetings
* Running to Costco to keep the right items stocked
* Answering the phone and being the first point of contact when people call
* Making sure we have the supplies the team needs
* Other miscellaneous tasks that keep the trains running

_Background_
Metis Machine is a Charlottesville, VA start-up that is on a mission to create the data analytics “easy-button” for Healthcare and Manufacturing companies. 90% of the data we have has been created in the only the past two to three years. In addition, the commoditization of computer power, bandwidth, storage and IoT sensors is ushering what many are calling the 4th Industrial Revolution.  We are already seeing this give rise to automation and robotics transforming factories, transportation, energy and more. While many large corporations have the resources to build data analytics teams - UX Designers, Data Scientist, Software Engineers and Infrastructure teams - the vast majority of companies cannot afford to do so. Metis Machine sees this as the opportunity to help close the gap and bring this transformative technology to everyone. Easy, right?!
