  3. Children have always been, and continue to be, one of society's most valuable assets due to the fact that they are the primal seed of human existence. With more married couples intentionally remaining child-free combined with a more negative public opinion of infants and toddlers, the importance of children needs to be re-established.

  5. Children sustain their importance through a variety of ways, but the most obvious is that they determine the philosophy and actions of a generation. This is because children serve as a blank canvas, and different groups fight for their minds. John Dewy, a significant figure in the Progressive Education movement, released how easily children can be manipulated and is quoted as saying "Anyone who has begun to think places some portion of the world in jeopardy." The goal of incapacitating young people's academic ability, as well as subjugating their minds, is neither a new notion nor a rare one.

  7. Children also serve as a symbol of purity. While being human, and therefore imperfect, children often retain a spirit of innocence, making them frequent reference objects to those struggling with various moral flaws. The tainted nature of man can, and does, show through children, though not as much as their purity.

  9. Finally, children give meaning and purpose to those whom may otherwise have lost hope. For those raped or abandoned, children serve as a shining light in the darkest of life's voids.

  11. The aforementioned articles all validate the significance and importance of one of God's most precious gifts: the blameless youth. While others may fail to recognize this, the ministry at Central Baptist Church continues to regularly invest time and energy into those that may be otherwise neglected, a task that remains important as a Scriptural command.
