  1. “Onii-chan! Wake up!” You hear as small feet clamber onto your bed. Tiny, child hands grab your shoulders and shake you, trying to wake you up. You open your eyes to see your kitsune imouto smiling down at you. She embraces you in a hug and asks you with a smile, “Onii-chan, can you make me pancakes?”
  2.
  3. You smile back at her. You loved her when she did this, waking you up like that and being all cute trying to get you to make her pancakes. You ruffle her hair a bit, rubbing behind her fox ears, before getting out of bed, “I would love to, sis.”
  4.
  5. She beams at you as you walk out of your room and into the kitchen. “Yay! Pancakes! Pancakes! Pancakes! ~<3” she says, hopping around you in her pajamas, draping her blanket around.
  6.
  7. You chuckled. She was so cute, even if she wasn’t necessarily your full-blooded sibling, only a half-sister. You yourself were 100% human, born from a human dad and a human mother. Your dad took you away from your mother when she was a.... less than affectionate mother, to say the least. When you were 10, he remarried, to a kitsune no less, and moved here to Monstergirl City. The same year, they had her, and named her Sophia. You first didn’t want a sister, but after time, she grew on you. After 6 years, she was an amazing sister, nonetheless. And she was really affectionate towards you. Either way, it was just the two of you living together. Your dad and your kitsune step-mom were out on an extended honeymoon, out somewhere in the wilderness. It was like the fifth ‘honeymoon’ that they’d been on. They send you a check every month for rent, bills, and food, not even coming back for that. It was the norm for them not to be at home. Either way, it was just you and your imouto. If anything, it was more like you were the father to her.
  8.
  9. You went to the fridge and got out the milk, eggs, and butter. Then you got out the mixing bowls, flour, salt, sugar, and all the other ingredients. You made that shit from SCRATCH. None of that powder mix shit. Mixing the batter into a bowl, you look over the counter into the living room. You look at Sophia, who was watching her Saturday morning cartoons. The way she reacted while watching the cartoons made your heart hurt, with her gasping and hiding behind her Fluffy Tail(TM) blanket during the surprising and suspenseful bits. You’re not really sure what she was watching. It was some monster girl-made cartoon, you could tell that from the certain art style about it, and you know, because it was a recent children’s cartoon that was actually good.
  10.
  11. Thoughts aside, you pour the pancake batter onto the griddle. And for the pièce de résistance, you put chocolate chips into the batter for your sister’s pancakes. While the first side cooked, you got two plates out from the cabinet and set the table. You put the butter and the maple syrup on the table as well. And it was the real, good kind of maple syrup, not that corn syrup crap that makes you want to vomit. If there was one thing your dad taught you, it was good taste in food. Checking the pancakes, you see that they’re a good golden brown, and flip them over.
  12. Walking behind your imouto, she was on the edge of her seat, biting her nails as the climax of the show was happening. As the hero saved the day, she erupted into a loud cheer. Scratching behind her ears, she looks up at you and smiles. “So how’s the show, Phia?”
  13. “Oh its great, Onii-chan!” she tells you, “Demon Girl just sealed the evil Chief God into the Aethor Realm. There was lights, flashes, explosions! It was so cool!”
  14. With your arm around her shoulder, you pulled her in for a squeeze, “That sounds totally awesome. Say, sis, how’s elementary school going? You liking it? Have any friends?”
  15. “School’s fun! The teachers are nice, and I have some really nice friends!”
  16. “Sweet. So sis, is there any boys you like? Like, ‘like’ like?”
  17. “Uh uh! There isn’t anyone as good as Onii-chan! All the other boys are icky!” she shakes her vehemently.
  18. “Heh, well maybe not now, but later, you’re gunna find someone you really like!” you poke her cheek.
  19. “I already found someone! Its you, Onii-chan!”, she tightly holds onto your leg, pouting, “And I’m not letting you go!”
  20. The smell of well-done pancakes filled your nose as you remembered about the pancakes you were cooking, “Er, Sophia, could you please let me go? I need to check to the pancakes.” Her hug tightens around your leg as she continues to pout at you. “Alright, you don’t have to let me go. But you know what happens to little girls who don’t listen to their omouto,” you lean in and whispher in her ear, “They get attacked... by the Tickle Monster.”
  21. Upon hearing those words, she took off like a rocket from your leg and hid behind the couch, protecting herself from the Tickle Monster. With your leg free, you go into the kitchen and check the pancakes. Sure enough, they were done. And thank God they weren’t burnt. Grabbing a plate, you put the regular ones on first, then the ones for Sophia, so she didn’t have to dig her way to her special pancakes. Placing the pancake plate on the table, you call out to her from the kitchen, “Sophia! The pancakes are ready!”
  22. “Uh uh!” she calls back, “I’m not coming out for anything!”
  23. Going into the living room to see what’s up, you see that she has erected herself a fort consisting of pillows and her blanket, sealing her up. You can see her squinting at you from an opening in the fort. “The Tickle Monster will never get me in here!” she cries out.
  24. You sigh, “Oh well! I mean, I made them chocolate chip just for you!” You can see the twinkle of interest in her eye, but she remains firmly planted in her fort. “Oh jeez, you’re really adamant about this, huh? Well, I guess the pancakes that also happen to be cut into the shape of dinosaurs will have to go to waste then.” Her eyes gleam with the shine of temptation, and you can hear her moan in discomfort, but she stays in her spot. “You know Phia, you really should know better than to build a fort to protect you,” you say as you disappear behind the couch, “because even an impenetrable fortress can’t save you from..... THE TICKLE MONSTER!”
  25. You push aside her impregnable fortress and get on top of her. From there the monster began to eat her alive, roaming around her body and eating her all over the place. Her cries of giggles and laughs fell on deaf ears as the monster tortured her till her face turned blue.
  26. After a while, the monster stopped, and she laid there, panting from all the laughter. You lean over and say to her, “Come on, lets get some pancakes. I’ll race ya.” The two of you then ran to the table to get there first. You of course let her win, pushing in her chair as she managed to pop out from behind the table. You did her pancakes, buttering them, cutting them, and applying the syrup, before presenting the chocolate dinosaur to her. With a beam on her face, she dug into the pancakes. Sipping her coffee, you enjoy your Saturday morning with your imouto.
