[14:00] <Lethallan> Lethallan holds back on execution, instead wandering off to peak a head through the portal. If they get tied up, anyway. She doesn't care about blood either which way.
[14:00] <Vollis> Vollis ties up the two foes so they can't move should they wake up.
[14:02] <Strategist14> Vollis, roll Thievery.  Lethallan, the first thing that you see in your brief check is trees.  Lots and lots of trees, one of which has a horse waiting calmly next to it.

[14:11] <Strategist14> He snarls.  From a nearby tunnel, a large quadrupedal insect emerges, acid dripping from its maw.
[14:12] <Lethallan> I slit his throat.
[14:12] <Strategist14> Roll damage
[14:12] <Lethallan> I dont imagine that he's in much of a position to not get his throat slit.
[14:13] <Strategist14> Which is why we're going straight to damage

[14:13] <Lethallan> I dont understand
[14:14] <Strategist14> Automatic crit, because you're slitting his throat

[14:27] <Lapu> Lapu delivers a low kick on one of the bug's front legs to knock it prone. Dexterity vs. Fortitude

[15:20] <Strategist14> This turns it over to Merric's turn, who uses it to escape and stand up.  Followed by Lucan, who steps forward to strike at Lapu.

[15:23] <Lethallan> Okay, Lethallan rolls a 15 vs will to make the bug attack Lu.

[15:24] <Lethallan> She then uses an action point to have Anders bite the vial after she floats it over to him.
[15:24] <Lethallan> Both have +4 to hit
[15:24] <Lethallan> 19 for the second
[15:24] <Strategist14> Lucan takes 15 damage, bloodying him and resulting in a cry of pain, the insect takes 7 damage from Vollis's mark, and Merric mostly just looks confused.

[15:30] <Lapu2> Lapu attempts to deliver a strong uppercut but misses. End turn.
[15:31] <Strategist14> The bug shifts away from Lucan, and continues to claw at Vollis.  Another brutal pair of rolls sees it going 23 vs AC: 13 damage
[15:32] <Strategist14> Vollis, how will you respond?
[15:34] <Vollis> I whack the bug like I have never whacked before with a good ol' Valorous Smite.
[15:34] <Vollis> 24 to hit
[15:34] <Strategist14> That'll do it

[15:35] <Strategist14> That'll also do it.  The monster is now thoroughly bloodied.

[15:36] <Strategist14> That's all of them.  Merric spends his turn absconding through the portal.  Lucan does the same, shifting as a move action before downgrading standard to get another move.

[15:37] <Lethallan> to give chase or not to give chase
[15:39] <Lethallan> I peek through the portal, after moving to it.
[15:40] <Strategist14> Merric is currently at their escape horse, Lucan about halfway there.
[15:41] <Lethallan> I magic missile Lucan
[15:41] <Lethallan> 6 damage
[15:42] <Strategist14> Lucan... collapses.
[15:42] <Strategist14> Lapu, you're up
[15:45] <Lapu2> Lapu shifts one square beside Vollis, and attempts to do a melee attack with a strike at the creature's jaw. 17 vs. AC
[15:45] <Strategist14> That's a hit, but only barely
[15:46] <Lapu2> 7 damage and another 5 by a flurry of fists.
[15:47] <Strategist14> This thing isn't doing so well.  Another hit like that and it's going down
[15:48] <Strategist14> Unfortunately, it gets its turn first.  And it will be using that to smash Vollis again.

[15:48] <Strategist14> Vollis's turn
[15:49] <Vollis> I continue the theme of hitting the bug with my sword.
[15:49] <Vollis> 21 vs ac; 11 damage
[15:50] <Strategist14> And there it goes.  The buggo is slain.

[15:52] <Strategist14> In the meantime, Merric is busy guiding his mount to pick up Lucan.  He circles around to block further attacks on the elf's body, but can't also abscond on the same turn.
[15:52] <Strategist14> Lethallan, you have one turn before it starts capital-R Running away with both of them on it.
[15:55] <Lethallan> I roll a seventeen at the horses will. If its a hit, he attacks the elf with a +4 bonus to hit.
[15:57] <Strategist14> The horse does, in fact, trample poor Lucan.
[15:58] <Strategist14> The comatose elf takes 7 damage before Merric manages to grab his body and whisk it away into the trees.
