  1. You wander west.
  2. The sound of chanting voices carries over the Lake of Tears and past the West Gate. If the guards appear disturbed by the steady droning sound, they do not show it as they pace the wallwalks, eyes constantly scanning for any sign of danger in the night.
  3. You also see a naked mole-rat that is sitting, a prominent warning sign, a ladder to the top of the wall and the Sentinel Kureta.
  4. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn, Altar Boy Hackett and Medical Theorist Drinden.
  5. Obvious paths: north, east, south.
  6. You say, "Oh, my."
  7. You beam!
  8. Tearlyn smiles at you.
  9. > l mole
  10. Long, sharp incisors, much like its hooked claws, stand out in sharp white contrast with the pale, sickly pallid flesh of this scrawny creature. Clouded blue-green eyes peer with a beady, almost belligerent bearing in the way it holds its head.
  11. You find the creature to be a magnificent specimen. There is a soft aura about it and you notice the eyes stare back with a nature which hints at intelligence. You are pretty certain this is a Warrior Mage's familiar.
  12. You notice as a naked mole-rat twists around to clean its tail.
  13. Tearlyn says, "Can you help this naked mole."
  14. Sendithu leans on Hackett.
  15. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against you for a moment.
  16. Hackett says, "There is one of the leaders."
  17. You say, "That depends on what he or she requires."
  18. Hackett points at Sendithu.
  19. You tilt your head inquisitively.
  20. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Mole-rat! I'm a mole-rat! Not a rat, not a mole..."
  21. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against you for a moment.
  22. Sendithu raises an eyebrow in Hackett's direction.
  23. Sendithu asks, "Leader of what now?"
  24. Tearlyn nods.
  25. Sentinel Kureta searches the shadows with a watchful eye.
  26. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "I must speak with your city leaders. They have offers to make that we would listen to."
  27. Tearlyn says, "My apologies."
  28. You ask, "Mole-rats are very respectable. Live in colonies, yes?"
  29. You say, "Cities are like colonies."
  30. Hackett asks, "Hey little friend?"
  31. You ponder.
  32. Tearlyn bows to a naked mole-rat.
  33. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "You are wise in the ways of the mole-rat, this is good."
  34. Hackett asks, "Can we get you in a nice little jacket?"
  35. Drinden says, "Lo jaib."
  36. You ask, "I am a Lieutenant of the Crystal Vanguard. Will that serve?"
  37. You smile.
  38. Sendithu grins at Hackett.
  39. Tearlyn smiles at you.
  40. Drinden says, "Maybe, I'm been trying to think of ways to cook mole-rat."
  41. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  42. Drinden says, "Boiling would be the best way I guess."
  43. You say, "It's very rude to talk about eating someone that can speak right in front of them."
  44. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Crystal Vanguard. This means you can speak for your people?"
  45. You say, "I've been told."
  46. The Shard sentinel strides north, his hand on his mace.
  47. You say, "I can speak for the Crystal Vanguard, and I represent Shard in at least some matters. I can make a full report to my superior, as well, as soon as I meet him."
  48. You notice as a naked mole-rat looks up at you with bright eyes.
  49. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Shaman will not take kindly to the eating, no. No not at all."
  50. You say, "We have regular meetings."
  51. Hackett exclaims, "Whoa did anyone notice this naked mouse is talking??!?!"
  52. Hackett rubs his eyes.
  53. You grin wryly.
  54. Hackett asks, "Im I dreaming??"
  55. Tearlyn nods to Hackett.
  56. Sendithu asks, "What tribes are you coming from?"
  57. Sendithu narrows her eyes.
  58. Hackett asks, "Hey little fella do you like cheese?"
  59. Hackett kneels down.
  60. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "The Goblin Tribes."
  61. You ask, "So many things speak--goblins, reavers, many aetherial creatures, but a mole-rat, that's beyond your experience?"
  62. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  63. Sendithu says, "I thought so."
  64. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "What is cheese?"
  65. You exclaim, "Oh! The goblins. How lovely!"
  66. Tearlyn asks, "The well dressed goblins?"
  67. You beam!
  68. You ask, "How are they doing, your Goblin Tribes?"
  69. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "The Shaman's ambassador would meet with you. Outside your city. Pick the place."
  70. You notice as a naked mole-rat stretches up on its hind legs to look around.
  71. The Shard sentinel strides east, his hand on his mace.
  72. Hackett asks, "Oh good Sir what dingus hole have you been hiding in?"
  73. You say, "I spent a year or two--can't quite tell how long--among goblins local to Crossing. Very welcoming."
  74. You exclaim, "I see!"
  75. A faint trail of gleaming air follows in the wake of each of Tearlyn's reflective stars as they circle her right wrist, the only visible sign of their imbued magic.
  76. You ask, "How far outside?"
  77. You cock your head.
  78. You notice as a naked mole-rat scratches behind its ear.
  79. Hackett says, "Hmm fresh out of cheese."
  80. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Beyond guards. I'm sure you can understand why."
  81. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  82. You give a slight nod.
  83. Hackett gets a blood sausage encrusted with tiny shrike's eye sapphires from inside his hitman's backpack.
  84. You say, "Although, so you are aware, the Crystal Vanguard acts in a guarding capacity as well."
  85. Hackett smiles as he scoots over to the mole-rat and lets it smell his blood sausage.
  86. The Shard sentinel strides north, his hand on his mace.
  87. You ask, "I have great fondness of my memories living with the goblins, but anyone will respond in kind if attacked, yes?"
  88. Soul Reaver Amagron just arrived.
  89. Hackett just tried to feed a blood sausage encrusted with tiny shrike's eye sapphires to a naked mole-rat.
  90. Tearlyn glances up at the sky.
  91. After a few moments she lowers her gaze.
  92. Tearlyn raises her arm skyward, chanting.
  93. Amagron gets a log from inside his hitman's backpack.
  94. Amagron drops a log.
  95. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "A few guards outside the city is acceptable then. Your city is not historically friendly to our people."
  96. Tearlyn gestures.
  97. Amagron gets a small golden crocodile from inside his hitman's backpack.
  98. Amagron points his golden crocodile at a log and a flame shoots from the creature's mouth, making the log quickly catch fire.
  99. Tearlyn glances up at the sky.
  100. After a few moments she lowers her gaze.
  101. Hackett puts his sausage in his hitman's backpack.
  102. Hackett leaps to his feet!
  103. Amagron nods to Drinden.
  104. Amagron puts his crocodile in his hitman's backpack.
  105. You give a slight nod.
  106. Hackett asks, "Excuse me rat?"
  107. You hear a voice say, "Cannot imagine why that might be."
  108. Tearlyn gazes solemnly at the sky.
  109. Amagron gets a log from inside his hitman's backpack.
  110. Amagron puts a log on a burning log creating a small fire.
  111. Hackett asks, "Mr. Rat?"
  112. You notice as a naked mole-rat wiggles its whiskers.
  113. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Yes?"
  114. You say, "I myself have no desire to judge fatally for past experiences. Only current."
  115. Tearlyn says, "...uh...that is mole-rat."
  116. The log in the small fire bursts into flames.
  117. Hackett asks, "Why would we listen to anyone who would refuse to eat a perfectly good blood sausage?"
  118. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Though again... Not a rat."
  119. You ask, "I think it would be good to meet. Do you have a name?"
  120. Hackett says, "The only thing I would listen to less than a person of such is a goblin."
  121. Drinden exclaims, "We can call it dinner!"
  122. Hackett exclaims, "Good day Sir!"
  123. You notice as a naked mole-rat wiggles its whiskers.
  124. Hackett knocks on the door set into the city gate, and the Sentinel Kureta looks at him carefully.
  125. The Sentinel Kureta then opens the door just enough to let him through.
  126. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Me? No. No name."
  127. There is a twinkle in a naked mole-rat's eyes.
  128. You wryly say, "No name, no dinner."
  129. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  130. You say, "We're welcoming of mole-rats here! Look how lovely."
  131. You smile brightly.
  132. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "So I see..."
  133. The Shard sentinel strides north, his hand on his mace.
  134. Amagron's legs are soaked.
  135. Pursing her lips slightly, Sentinel Kureta lets out a sigh while glancing at the shadows.
  136. A golden snake shifts its position on Tearlyn's shoulders. Flicking its tongue against her cheek, it slides down to coil about her finger.
  137. You ask, "So, away from the sentinels, as a gesture of good faith for us and for you. How about the base of Wyvern Mountain? Or is that too high traffic for your tastes?"
  138. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  139. You notice as a naked mole-rat twists around to clean its tail.
  140. The small fire on the ground burns with a comforting glow.
  141. Tearlyn glances up at the sky.
  142. After a few moments she lowers her gaze.
  143. Sentinel Kureta scans the area with an intense look on her face, a slight frown coming over her lips as she slips a silver throwing dagger from its sheath.
  144. Tearlyn gazes solemnly at the sky.
  145. Tearlyn becomes very still, eyes unfocused.
  146. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Traffic bothers our ambassador not. Lead to the place then, half-dressed crystal human."
  147. You remove your crow's skull mask, revealing your features once again.
  148. You put your mask in your squirrel backpack.
  149. You flash a quick grin.
  150. You notice as a naked mole-rat looks up at you with bright eyes.
  151. You ask, "Anyone else here care to go?"
  152. From the Great Tower a voice cries out, "Anlas of Revelfae and all's well!"
  153. You notice Drinden slip into a hiding place.
  154. Tearlyn blinks.
  155. You notice Drinden come out of hiding.
  156. Drinden begins to lecture Tearlyn on the proper use of the First Aid skill.
  157. The Shard sentinel strides south, his hand on his mace.
  158. Tearlyn says, "Would you like compnany."
  159. Tearlyn says, "There are no moons."
  160. The Sentinel Kureta then opens the door just enough to let him through.
  161. You say, "Indeed, although I'm eager to meet the company of the ambassador as well."
  162. Hackett just came through a small door in the city gate, and the door shuts quickly behind him.
  163. Tearlyn begins to listen to Drinden teach the First Aid skill.
  164. Altar Boy Hackett saunters south.
  165. You say, "I think more eyes than mine might be... let's say, reliable."
  166. The Shard sentinel strides in, his steely grey eyes intently watching for signs of trouble.
  167. Tearlyn nods.
  168. You try hard not to grin.
  169. Amagron says, "Sure, I'll go."
  170. Amagron joins your group.
  171. Tearlyn joins your group.
  172. The Shard sentinel strides south, his hand on his mace.
  173. You say, "Commander Rekave will believe all of us, I'm sure."
  174. Drinden says, "I'm good since we can't cook it."
  175. You knock on the door set into the city gate, and the Sentinel Kureta looks at you carefully.
  176. After a brief moment, she opens the door just enough to let you slip through.
  177. She says, "Take care, Madam Jaibriel."
  178. Tearlyn follows you through the gate.
  179. Amagron follows you through the gate.
  180. Eerie chanting echoes over the bridge, filling the air with an ominous reminder that the World Dragon is still an influential power. Wyvern Mountain rises up blotting out the western sky.
  181. You also see a steel striker, a steel striker and the city wall.
  182. Also here: Soul Reaver Amagron and Fateweaver Tearlyn.
  183. Obvious paths: west.
  184. You chuckle.
  185. An unfortunate divagation brings a mosquito into perilous contact with your spidersilk cloak. With a sudden flurry of activity, a hairy spider emerges from the folds of the cloak and binds the mosquito in a mucilaginous shroud of silk.
  186. You wander west, leading your group.
  187. The dark of night hovers over the lake, twined with a mysterious chanting that resonates all around. There's no mystery to why this bridge is all but deserted when the sun flees from the heavens.
  188. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  189. Next move: west
  190. Obvious paths: east, west.
  191. You wander west, leading your group.
  192. The Tower of Shard glows slightly in night's gloom with a hidden power, masked only slightly by the lights from the city streets. Wyvern Mountain is visible to the west standing a stoic watch over the lands, and perhaps waiting for a mysterious event to transpire.
  193. Also here: Soul Reaver Amagron and Fateweaver Tearlyn.
  194. Next move: west
  195. Obvious paths: east, west.
  196. You wander west, leading your group.
  197. The bridge leads to and from the west district of the great city of Shard, under the careful watch of the guards and the respectful silence of Wyvern Mountain. Chanting fills the air as voices rise in praise of some hidden deity.
  198. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  199. Next move: west
  200. Obvious paths: east, west.
  201. You wander west, leading your group.
  202. A small area has been cleared here for travelers to stop and rest before crossing the bridge to Shard's west gate, or stop and recheck their packs before leaving the city's comfortable embrace entirely. Wyvern Mountain stands in the western distance, a great waterfall cascading down its face. Haunting voices rise in a synchronous harmony that chills the bones, revealing the presence of a shrine to the World Dragon nearby.
  203. You also see a muddy trail and the battered and splintered remains of a barricade that once blocked the passage west.
  204. Also here: Soul Reaver Amagron and Fateweaver Tearlyn.
  205. Next move: northwest
  206. Obvious paths: east, west.
  207. Mapped exits: go trail, search go narrow path
  208. You run west, leading your group.
  209. A dull roar can be heard from the west as water cascades down the face of Wyvern Mountain, its looming presence casting shadows that deepen the darkness and chill the air. To the east is the Lake of Tears, its waters casting glimmering reflections against the crystal walls of Shard. Around the base of the mountain, a crude road curves into the distance.
  210. You also see a completely destroyed fort.
  211. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  212. Next move: north
  213. Obvious paths: east, northwest.
  214. You run northwest, leading your group.
  215. Chunks of rock and debris have fallen from the heights of the mountain to lie scattered haphazardly on the road. The air is dense with the scent of mosses and damp earth, and the sound of Wyvern's great waterfall rumbles all around. To the north, the Dragon Spine Mountains lurch in jagged silhouette against the skyline.
  216. Also here: Soul Reaver Amagron and Fateweaver Tearlyn.
  217. Next move: northwest
  218. Obvious paths: north, southeast.
  219. You run north, leading your group.
  220. The road narrows slightly as it bends to follow the base of Wyvern Mountain. Shade-loving columbine and blue iris, their blossoms curled tightly against the night, thrive in the great shadows of the Spine.
  221. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  222. Next move: west
  223. Obvious paths: south, northwest.
  224. You notice as a naked mole-rat scampers into the area.
  225. The naked mole-rat begins to watch the goings on carefully.
  226. You run northwest, leading your group.
  227. The road rises slightly, continuing its long trek. Wyvern Mountain towers overhead, its misty, snow-capped reaches so distant that they seem almost unreal, as if painted against the sky. A small spring trickles across the road here, feeding clusters of mint and sorrel with its mineral-rich water.
  228. You also see a rockslide and a wrought iron gate.
  229. Also here: Soul Reaver Amagron and Fateweaver Tearlyn.
  230. Obvious paths: southeast, west.
  231. Mapped exits: climb rockslide
  232. You run west, leading your group.
  233. Large boulders hug the foot of the slopes, silently keeping vigil over the road beneath them. Occasionally there are slithering or skittering sounds among the rocks, but no sign of the creatures inhabiting their shadowed crevices. To the north, the Dragon Spine range pushes up towards the sky, a stark frame for the chill reaches of Wyvern Mountain.
  234. You also see a rocky path.
  235. Also here: Fateweaver Tearlyn and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  236. Obvious paths: north, east.
  237. You notice as a naked mole-rat scampers into the area.
  238. The naked mole-rat begins to watch the goings on carefully.
  239. You smile.
  240. Tearlyn smiles.
  241. You ask, "Here is good, yes?"
  242. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "This is the place you choose?"
  243. The naked mole-rat sits down.
  244. Tearlyn glances up at the sky.
  245. After a few moments she lowers her gaze.
  246. You say, "It is safe and outside the city."
  247. You give a slight nod.
  248. Tearlyn gazes solemnly at the sky.
  249. Tearlyn becomes very still, eyes unfocused.
  250. You notice as a naked mole-rat looks up at you with bright eyes.
  251. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "Good good. Our ambassador arrives soon then."
  252. Altar Boy Hackett just arrived.
  253. Altar Boy Hackett saunters north.
  254. You gaze at a naked mole-rat.
  255. You say, "You are a good ambassador, as well."
  256. The naked mole-rat squeaks, "I do as told. Yes."
  257. You say, "I have a very lovely clymbal around your size. Extremely helpful sort. Less talkative."
  258. Erlo came through a rocky path.
  259. Erlo puts his sword in his sniper's backpack.
  260. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against Erlo for a moment.
  261. Tearlyn glances up at the sky.
  262. After a few moments she lowers her gaze.
  263. You notice as a naked mole-rat wiggles its whiskers.
  264. Tearlyn gazes solemnly at the sky.
  265. Tearlyn becomes very still, eyes unfocused.
  266. Nature Mage Yincoh came through a rocky path.
  267. Nature Mage Yincoh runs east.
  268. Chaosbringer Nuskaro just arrived.
  269. Chaosbringer Nuskaro runs north.
  270. You hear a voice ask, "You are the ones yes?"
  271. Tearlyn searches around for a moment.
  272. You say, "I am currently representing the Crystal Vanguard. Yes."
  273. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against Tearlyn for a moment.
  275. You also see a naked mole-rat that is sitting and a rocky path.
  276. Also here: Fomenter of Havoc Davark, Fateweaver Tearlyn, Erlo and Soul Reaver Amagron.
  277. Obvious paths: north, east.
  278. Davark nods.
  279. > l davark
  280. You see Fomenter of Havoc Davark, Slaughter Chief of the Goblin Tribes, a Black Goblin Warlord.
  281. He has a square-jawed face with heavy jowls, red-veined pale green eyes, a broken nose and a cleft chin. His green-black hair is very long and wiry, and is worn shaggy. He has heavily creased skin that resembles charred wood and a brawny build.
  282. He is very tall for a Black Goblin.
  283. He appears to be in his prime.
  284. He has a scruffy growth of stubble on his face.
  285. He has a disfiguring facial scar that bisects the bridge of his nose.
  286. He is in good shape.
  287. He is wearing a crude cowl assembled from a garishly kaleidoscopic array of leather scraps, a warped hickory stonebow with a hide-bound tiller, a discolored canvas backpack with a splintered wooden frame, some thick patchwork leathers dyed a gaudy sunshine yellow hue, a small viridian shield sloppily painted with a crimson triskelion, some sanguine leather gloves with crude wooden reinforcements and some ragged gabardine breeches with a badly frayed rope belt.
  288. Davark says, "Good."
  289. You notice as a naked mole-rat looks up at you with bright eyes.
  290. You gaze hopefully at Davark.
  291. Davark says, "I am Davark, Warlord to the Shaman."
  292. Davark grins.
  293. You say, "Ahh, a pleasure! I am Jaibriel Laveau, Lieutenant of the Crystal Vanguard's triage."
  294. You bow to Davark.
  295. Davark nods to you.
  296. Davark casually observes the area.
  297. You say, "These are currently my... deputies."
  298. You notice as a naked mole-rat stretches up on its hind legs to look around.
  299. Tearlyn smiles.
  300. You rub your head.
  301. You notice as a naked mole-rat scratches behind its ear.
  302. Davark says, "Mmm. I see."
  303. Davark nods.
  304. Scout Gamalon just arrived.
  305. Tearlyn says, "I am Tearlyn."
  306. Tearlyn smiles at Davark.
  307. Davark nods to Tearlyn.
  308. Xibar slowly rises above the horizon.
  309. Gamalon's legs are dripping water everywhere.
  310. Davark says, "Your people offered "trade" to our last ambassador."
  311. You smile.
  312. You notice as a naked mole-rat twists around to clean its tail.
  313. Erlo went through a rocky path.
  314. You say, "Yes, although I'm not certain they were aware that your last ambassador was acting as an ambassador."
  315. Erlo came through a rocky path.
  316. Erlo runs east.
  317. Davark grins slowly.
  318. Gamalon's legs are soaked.
  319. You say, "Are you interested in trade? I believe there was interest in metal ingots and craftwork."
  320. Davark says, "Your ways are not our ways. This can cause confusion."
  321. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against Gamalon for a moment.
  322. You nod in agreement.
  323. Davark nods to you.
  324. You say, "Indeed. I have some experience."
  325. Davark says, "Yes, very interested."
  326. You say, "I was explaining to the nice mole-rat that I have a lingering fondness. Goblins cared for me well, years ago."
  327. You say, "I would return the favor if possible."
  328. Davark says, "This is good to hear."
  329. Davark nods emphatically.
  330. You beam at Davark!
  331. Davark says, "My brother must have what he needs. Much depends on it."
  332. You cock your head.
  333. You ask, "Yes?"
  334. Davark says, "If a deal can be cut between us, this is good for both."
  335. You firmly say, "Yes."
  336. Davark shifts his weight.
  337. A set of reflective stars swiftly trail one another one after the next as they orbit Tearlyn's right wrist.
  338. You say, "I cannot speak for the entirety of the town, of course."
  339. You say, "I am a Lieutenant, not... a Ferdahl."
  340. You say, "But I can speak for you to my superiors."
  341. You nod to Davark.
  342. Davark nods.
  343. Davark says, "That will do for now."
  344. You say, "If we work out some details first. What you need, how much... some will want to know to where it goes."
  345. Gamalon says, "And what its purpose is."
  346. Davark tilts his head, clearly curious about something.
  347. Davark asks Gamalon, "Do you speak for the city as well?"
  348. Gamalon says, "Not directly, but the matters of the city do matter to me."
  349. Davark nods.
  350. You ask, "Do you wish... a trade agreement, or something fuller, like a treaty?"
  351. Davark says, "Well... it is as you say. We desire your well smelted steel, and the tools used to work it."
  352. Davark says, "These are not things our craftsmen are skilled with."
  353. You give a slight nod.
  354. Davark says, "To teach them to learn such things... wastes much time."
  355. You say, "Skills take time to develop. I understand you feel some urgency."
  356. Davark nods in agreement.
  357. Davark says, "Yes, that."
  358. You notice as a naked mole-rat scratches behind its ear.
  359. You gaze up at the sky.
  360. You ask, "What will you offer in trade?"
  361. Tearlyn smiles.
  362. The soft silver glow fades from around Amagron.
  363. Davark asks, "What do you desire of us?"
  364. Davark adjusts his leather gloves.
  365. You frown thoughtfully.
  366. You say, "I have not visited your tribes, I'm uncertain what wares you create."
  367. You notice as a naked mole-rat wiggles its whiskers.
  368. Davark says, "Mmm."
  369. You say, "But, at the same time, information can be a ware... that may be valuable to deal with. Information on what creates such urgency for you. I only ask because I know my superiors will ask as well."
  370. Davark says, "The Tribes are fractured. Too much so. We don't make much but war upon ourselves. Once dominance has been established... then we'd be in a better place to craft."
  371. You ask, "Ah, I see. A trade on--future goods?"
  372. Davark grins slowly.
  373. Davark says, "That would suit us. Yes."
  374. You notice as a naked mole-rat twists around to clean its tail.
  375. You say, "Personally, I'm for it. But again, I must entreat on your behalf to those who control our commerce directly."
  376. You gaze at Davark.
  377. Davark frowns.
  378. Davark says, "Too much time already passes."
  379. You say, "I have a debt, and I am willing to do such. Anything you can give me to tell them, though, will help."
  380. Davark nods.
  381. Tearlyn whispers, "are his tribes the ones that have been attacking Haven ?"
  382. Davark says, "Your help in the matter would be appreciated. Though make no mistake, we will have what we need, one way or the other."
  383. Gamalon says, "Sounds as if what you are planning is establishdominance over all the other tribes by force with weapons that you can not make alone. That could also be viewed in a different manner as the tribes alone are not much of threat. Growing up around here I am well aware of the dangers black goblins cause around Boar Clan."
  384. You whisper to Tearlyn, "A good question."
  385. You fix Davark with a frank, even stare.
  386. You try hard not to grin.
  387. You say, "I understand. Shard is well-equipped, and hopefully there can be a friendship."
  388. Davark grins.
  389. You ask, "Is your tribe that which has recently been seen in Haven?"
  390. You quietly say, "I was not there myself. Rumors."
  391. Davark says, "This would be good for both of us, yes. We have no desire to shed goblin blood amongst that of your own people."
  392. Davark shakes his head.
  393. Davark says, "No. As I say, the Tribes are much fractured."
  394. You give a slight nod.
  395. Davark says, "Your people invade our homes, we invade yours in turn. Until strong leadership is established, there is no end to this."
  396. You say, "Division creates only chaos. Which is valued in its own time, but... yes. Not always."
  397. Davark nods to you.
  398. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against Gamalon for a moment.
  399. You say, "Truly, the only home I wish to invade is my own."
  400. You say, "Which I absolutely own and can provide legal papers for if necessary."
  401. You dust yourself off.
  402. Davark barks something at the naked mole-rat in an odd, gutteral tongue.
  403. You notice a naked mole-rat rub against Gamalon for a moment.
  404. A naked mole-rat wanders off.
  405. Tearlyn smiles at you.
  406. Davark nods to you.
  407. Davark says, "With you then, perhaps we can work something out."
  408. You beam at Davark!
  409. You say, "I will attempt to explain your position as well I can."
  410. You say, "Hopefully they will also see the merit."
  411. Davark says, "Take our message and our offer to your leaders. We will seek your people out again soon."
  412. Amagron says, "As a Armorsmith, I have to ask just how much steel you are attempting to obtain as well."
  413. Davark glances at Amagron.
  414. Davark grins.
  415. Davark says, "Enough to equip the few tribes we've already unified."
  416. You wryly say, "I gather the amount will be 'a very lot.' Certainly, numbers can be worked out if the initial proposal goes well."
  417. Davark nods to you.
  418. You say, "If your time is short, I understand. Numbers can wait."
  419. You sigh.
  420. You quietly say, "Although I do like them."
  421. Davark says, "Your city, we see, has great stores built up. We would have as much as there is. As much as can be carried."
  422. You say, "It has been a pleasure meeting you, Warlord Davark."
  423. You say, "Hopefully we can repeat it in the future."
  424. Davark nods.
  425. Davark says, "Tokza will be pleased. I will bring word to him."
  426. You say, "I will carry my own word as soon as possible."
  427. Davark looks you over one last time with a subtle nod of his head.
  428. Tearlyn smiles at Davark.
  429. Davark says, "Don't die, in whatever it is you all do with yourselves."
  430. Davark grins.
