  1. written suggestion:A cute optionally ship green of Sunburst(misread as Sunset) and Starlight?
  2.
  3. >be you
  4. >be starlight glimmer
  5. >Your story begins, with a book.
  6. >actually more of a wrong turn
  7. >You had been living in the castle for quite some time now, and still could not get any sense of direction in this stupid place.
  8. >everything was so big and same-y, and not the good kind like when you had lived in that vilalge
  9. >then again that wasn't a good same-y either.
  10. >you sighed frustratedly as she walked into....
  11. >the library
  12. >not the kitchen.
  13. >The library.
  14. >Fuck
  15. >your stomach grumbles
  16. >but your legs are exhausted
  17. >You curse at the open air as you make you way to a spot in the library that had all the evidence of you alicorn teacher having been there.
  18. >books stacked far too high
  19. >a inversely sized stack of books consisting of only six,
  20. >the book on the desk was shut with a very long bookmark left sticking out
  21. >you sit in the chair looking at most of the books.
  22. >each one is about the subject of dragon puberty
  23. >you look at the book laying in front of you
  24. >'So your adopted dragon son is becoming an adult'
  25. >You groan loudly and so does your stomach as you slump down your head thudding into the book.
  26. >this sucks
  27. >your hungry
  28. >shit with spike is happening.
  29. >You're about to-
  30. "ow!"
  31. >Who the fuck drops a book on you!
  32. >Gravity of course
  33. >a dark red leather bound book lays in front of you now.
  34. >a bright yellow and red sun symbol is emblazoned across it as you look down on it
  35. >it's also vibrating.
  36. >you stare at the book a few second before opening it, flipping through it's pages
  37. >it's a journal, you think, or at least some of the pages start out like that.
  38. >toward the later end you not the pages start reading like letters.
  39. and you rwach the final page as you watch the words magically appear
  40. >"Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle"
  41.
  42. --
  43.
  44. >You are still Starlight Glimmer
  45. >and right now you are watching a book literally write itself in front of you
  46. >the glowing text continue to squiggle and wiggle along the paper shaping words
  47. "Dear princess Twilight Sparkle,
  48. Everything is doing okay since you last visited. We all miss you and are hoping you visit again. Especially the other Twilight, we really need to come up with a better reference term for her. She's absolutely enthralled with the idea of alternate universes, she wants to run tests on you
  49. >there's an extended pause at the paper
  50. >gears are turning in your head right now
  51. >There's ANOTHER Twilight.
  52. >oh por el culo soles
  53. >the letters appear again
  54. "hopefully, we can talk her out of it if you visit again. but relatively speaking, everything has been quiet; no magic outbursts, no evil student or teachers. Everything at canterlot high has been uneventful, kind of boring actually when you think about it, they anounced the summer class camping trip for the summer break, we'll be going to the Everfree Forest. Hopefully that doesn't blow up in our faces. anyway, it's getting late, I'll write again soon.
  55. Your Faithful Student, Sunset Shimmer"
  56. >Faithful Student
  57. >Hold
  58. >The Fuck
  59. >Up.
  60. >You're not the first student?!
  61. >a twist of jealousy pulls through your stomach as you reread the letter multiple times trying to make sense of it all
  62. >there's another universe
  63. >That Twilight has been to
  64. >There's a pony there named Sunset Shimmer
  65. >And She's Twilights Student.
  66. >You push yourself out of the chair, the creek echoing in the large library
  67. >you being pacing all sort of unpleasant feelings rushing around in your mind
  68. >Twilight isn't being honest
  69. >she's never told you about another student
  70. >let alone one in another universe
  71. >You thought you were the first student!
  72. >darn it
  73. >you knew she seemed to confident to not be a teacher normally.
  74. >you pull up a nearby quill and put it to the paper
  75.
  76. --
  77.
  78. >You are now Sunset Shimmer and you do not question this particular narrative shift.
  79. >The lean back in your desk chair looking up at the ceiling.
  80. >You keep writing
  81. >Twilight last wrote to you about three months ago.
  82. >You poke at your journal, sighing with frustration before getting up and popping the knuckles on your fingers one at a time
  83. >You have algebra.
  84. >Algebra is boring
  85. >but algebra is necessity.
  86. >you fish around in your handbag for your phone and earbuds with the knowlege of your assignment being long enough that queing up a playlist of witty automobile reviews sprinkled in with jokes aimed at the 18 and up set would help make the slog tolerabl-
  87. >The book is vibrating.
  88. >..huh..
  89. >you open the book at the most recent page.
  90. >The ink color is a very pale blue
  91. >That is definitely not Twilight writing in this book at all.
  92. "Dear-"
  93. >the writing is very..printed
  94. >non-offensive, very clearly
  95. >You'd never expect a single "Dear" to be almost frightening.
  96. "Dear Sunset Shimmer.
  97. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecing to find this letter to Twilight. But it is very interesting to meet you, even if it's only through written word"
  98. >a sense of discomfort washes over you
  99. >all sort of terrible ideas fill you
  100. >someones kidnapped twilight?
  101. >snuck their way into her castle?
  102. >fuck!
  103. >This feel is not a good feel
  104. "I wasn't expecting her to have another student"
  105. >your stomach clenches
  106. >what.
  107. "So imagine my surprise when I find this book and discover your letters, it's very interesting"
  108. >You immediately swipe up the book, grab the accompanying magic quill and scribbled down a very hasty 'who are you?'
  109. >several seconds pass
  110. "My name is Starlight Glimmer"
  111. >you very quickly write another 'how did you get the journal?"
  112. " I found it"
  113. >"How?"
  114. "I think I'll keep that to myself"
  115. >it's written words, but you can sense a massive shit eating grin behind it
  116. >you agressively close the book.
  117. >You need to do homework
  118.
  119. --
  120.
  121. >You are Starlight Glimmer
  122. >and you feel very pleased with yourself
  123. >you weren't expecting your message to get interrupted
  124. >but you think that everything went just fine
  125. >you write a few 'pleasantries' in the form of very passive statements
  126. >no resopnses
  127. >just fine
  128. >"Starllight are you in here?"
  129. >twilight calls at you
  130. >FINALLY!
  131. >Foood!
  132. >your stomach grumbles as you begin to trot toward her, only to pause
  133. >this is faaar to big an opportunity to let get away from you
  134. >you grab the journal book with your magic tucking it away
  135. >tuck it where?
  136. >the writer doesn't know, because you don't wear clothes.
  137. >"So what were you doing in here?" Twilgit asks as you meet up with her at the doo
  138. "I got lost"
  139. >"again?"
  140. >you sigh with much sense of defeat
  141. "Yes"
  142. >"I'm gonna have to draw a map for you, aren't I?"
  143. "it probably wouldn't hurt to consider"
  144. >so where did you original intend to end up?
  145. "Well I was, and still am hungry, so I was looking for the kitchen"
  146. >Twilight giggles a moment and motions with her hoof.
  147. >she leads you down the hallway
  148. >4 doors down
  149. >on the left
  150. >The kitchen
  151. "So, who built this place exactly?"
  152. >There;s very little in the way to show the annoyance in your voice
  153. >"a mystery box that fell out of a tree" Twilight smiles awkwardly
  154. "is the box still around?"
  155. >you've done weirder things this doesn't make you flinch
  156. >"in the ground" she rubs one of her legs "kind of the source for the roots of the whole castle"
  157. >you will never know the feeling of smashing a box with a terrible sense of building composition
  158. >not a good feel at all.
  159. >minutes pass and you finally have a sandwhich to nom down and fill your stomach with
  160. >you sigh with much content and then assure Twilight you can find your way back to your room
  161. >the only room in this castle you odn't need help finding
  162. >and you do find it with out help
  163. >you pull the book from where ever you had it tucked away in
  164. >what are you gonna do now?
  165. >you begin to ponder the things you can do with this thing
  166.
  167. --
  168.
  169. >You stare at the book
  170. >The book connecting to another pony
  171. >in another universe.
  172. >you pace around occasionally bouncing
  173. >you would have thought you'd come up with a way to mess with this pony at this point.
  174. >the book suddenly vibrates
  175. >you open it and read the page
  176. >"what have you done with Twilight?"
  177. >you pick up your quill and write a very simple
  178. "what do you mean?"
  179. >"I know you're not Twilights student, liar"
  180. >you snirk, grinning as you read the words
  181. >She things you're evil!
  182. >well...had she known you earlier this year she wouldn't be wrong.
  183. >semantics.
  184. >you grab your quill and start writing
  185. "why whatever do you mean with that?"
  186. >what have you done with twilight
  187. "oh safe, trust me"
  188. >you draw a little smile-y face to punctuate the sentance
  189. >"what have you done to her?!"
  190. "oh, nothing at all, honest"
  191. >the skin under your fur is tingling with excitement as you imagine how she'd react
  192. >"I'm not playing around here, what did you do?"
  193. >you're going to continue being honest
  194. "I took away her cutie mark"
  195. >"WHAT?!"
  196. >the letters are larged and the printing is incredible messy and hurried
  197. 'And then imprisoned her for a week"
  198. >it took several minutes for the next response
  199. >"Where is she now?"
  200. >Again, still honest
  201. >"she's in the castle with me, so is spike"
  202. >was that even relevant?
  203. >probably not
  204. >"give me a good reason why I shouldn't come there and stop you."
  205. >oh dear.
  206. >you do not want that
  207. >Time to continue being honest!
  208. "because I'm reformed and am actually her student"
  209. >more silence
  210. >you're actually feeling a little anxious
  211. >did you go to far?
  212. >"You're not really evil?"
  213. >you write back
  214. "not anymore at least"
  215. >several moments of silence follow
  216. >you write
  217. "you don't believe me, do you?"
  218. >"so how did they reform you?"
  219. "It'd take up way too many pages to even begin"
  220. >you honestly have no idea where to begin
  221. >"well, maybe we can talk that out later, but right now. it's getting a bit late and I need to"
  222. >you close the book.
  223. >What the hell?
