  8. It has to be the 4.7.316058 version with both forgotten empires and african kingdoms DLCs

First of all, the AoE2 editor its the easiest and most complete editor i could find, its both really easy to use for complete newfags and allows a lot of tweaks and fun shit for more advanced map makers, also it allows really goofy shit or good old RTS fun all in the same, allowing this huge mess to have both funny casual meme shit and super hard git gud n00b kind of maps, without having to learn advanced programming to make shit work.

  16. Well there are a few rules so this has some sort of cohesion :

  18. 1) The MC that always has to appear in the mission is named Anoknight, it can be any white male unit really (atleast it must start that way and end the scenario that way)
  19. 2) The MC must leave the scenario area in the end, unless its the 12th mission and for that it must get an ending, i leave the ending part to the discretion of whoever wants to make the last scenario.
  20. 3) Maps dont need to make a lot of sense, it can be as serious or silly as you want, you can make anoknight find himself helping the elder of a village fighting an uphill battle against both an unassailable fortress in a hill and being raided from the forests by bandits while managing resources in the valley, or the tale about how he met MoonKnight and went on a crusade to annihilate tribal after tribal village of african KANGZ making his way to Israel and fighting the rabbi of Jerusalem, the story is up to you.
  21. 4) No total overhauls or mods of any kind sadly that kind of stuff is really hard to manage, even if the mod you want only changes a unit its probably gonna mess the shit up of all the other 11 scenarios in the campaign, the only mods i would allow would be those that add something very small and change nothing from the base game.
  22. 5) Custom sounds and voice acting is allowed, but i would recommend you to use a system to name the sound files so 2 sounds dont have the same name and we have to change a lot of shit, the best way would be naming them : MMG_(number of scenario)_(whatever you want).

That way if im making the 3rd scenario and i want to name a sound "Kill" it would be MMG_3_Kill and if someone else has the same idea it would end MMG_#_Kill and it wouldnt make any issue, also we can make custom textures in Age of Empires 2 replacing some of the unused ones, but its better that we all agree on the substitutions beforehand so we don't end up making a huge mess.

  28. Yes, the story is up to the maker, the map can be whatever you want from an elaborated RPG to the most classical randomized strategy AOE map, obiously unless you are making the last chapter the story of anoknight cannot end.

  32. My idea was to finish in 2 weeks from now, the 9/10, by that time im gonna combine all the scenarios made into a campaign, and post it on the thread so people can enjoy the tale of the mighty Anoknight and whatever the fuck happened in his journey.

The minimum its 12 but im not opposed to adding more maps, and even if you are a newfag in making maps on Age of empires 2 i would like you to try anyways, even if the map is so shitty (tho that's highly unlikely) we cant add it to the scenario, you learn and people will still play it and give you valid criticism.

If you need to make a custom texture for your scenario you can replace one of those in the \resources\_common\terrain\textures folder and use them ingame, it can be from a sky to make it seem like the MC its on a flying vessel to wooden floors for indoor or some magic shit if you are into that.

  81. But if you want to post a link in the thread its fine, the name of the scenario really doesent matter, just remember to add a number so i know where in the campaign it should go.
