- Self-sufficient stock colony:
- A self-sufficient colony for stock KSP should have the following characteristics:
- * Population of 50 (easy) or 150 (normal) Kerbals with comfortable rooms and space to move around.
- * A mobile vehicle capable of storing at least 4 Kerbals in a pressurized hull.
- * 1-2 smaller mobile vehicles that can just be EVA chairs.
- * Vehicles can be boats (if water colony), rovers, or aircrafts. But they must be refuelable or rechargeable.
- * Communications relay.
- * A refueling infrastructure, either fuel refining on-site or by mining trucks or even mining spaceships if ore is absent on the body and there are nearby ore sources.
- * A reusable launch vehicle capable of launching to a space station in orbit.
- * A space station capable of storing fuel, and being refueled in-situ indefinitely, either by reusable fuel rockets from the surface or by sending out fuel tankers from other planets.
