  1. >Be Twilight Sparkle
  2. >You feel like you’re about to throw up again
  3. >Oh wait here it comes
  4. “BLEEEEEEEEEGH!!”
  5. >Damn
  6. >You barely even ate anything today
  7. >Too nervous to eat but still nervous enough to vomit
  8. >Beautiful
  9. >You stumbled out of the bathroom stall and walked up to the sink, staring at your own reflection
  10. >You are still wearing your white lab coat over that ridiculous outfit of yours, just to keep yourself warm at this point
  11. >Your smooth purple skin is cold to the touch, and you idly begin to worry if you might have caught a cold
  12. >Your eyes are getting pretty red, maybe you should take out your contacts?
  13. >You thought that if you wore them a few hours before, that you’d get used to them and forget they were even there
  14. >This is apparently not the case
  15. “Damnit.”
  16. >You quickly took them out, feeling instant relief wash over your eyes
  17. >You then turn on the faucet and splash a little bit of water on your face before putting your glasses back on
  18. >You look a little more familiar now
  19. >You still can’t decide if you like your hair down like this, its a little unmanageable with how much there is, stretching down past your shoulders
  20. >It does show the violet highlights a bit better, they were something your mother came up with and you did always think they made you look kind of cool
  21. >Your father always said that he thought you looked pretty with your hair down too
  22. “God, what the fuck am I doing here!”
  23. >You hung your head over the sink and stared at your own reflection in the water
  24. >It appeared as if you were about to start crying again when you heard a knocking on the bathroom door
  25. >”Twilight! Are you still in there?”
  26. “y-Yeah! *sniff* I’m ok!”
  27.
  28. >You tilted your glasses up and wiped the tears from your eyes as you forced yourself to smile
  29. >The door opened up, and your ‘mentor’ came in
  30. >She wore a tan business suit and tie that gave her an air of authority and formality
  31. >It did clash kind of ridiculously with her long red hair, which was stylized with wild yellow streaks
  32. >Even still, she was tremendously pretty, and her naturally athletic body looked like it was packed tightly underneath that suit
  33. >”Oh Twilight.”
  34. >She quickly walked up to you and placed a hand over your shoulder after she looked at you
  35. “n-No, I mean it. i-I’m ok.”
  36. >She sighed and wrapped her arms around your waist, causing you to blush and go limp in her arms
  37. >”You know, I was really nervous when it was my first time too.”
  38. “y-You were?”
  39. >She nodded as she tightened her grip over you
  40. >”I was terrified. I didn’t know if people would like me or if I would perform as well as I did when I practiced… but once I got out there in front of everyone I was able to pull it off. People loved me, and I know they’re going to love you too!”
  41. >You reached up to your eyes and rubbed them, attempting to hold back any more tears before they could come out
  42. “i-I still don’t know if this is for me. I’m just afraid I’m going to let everyone down.”
  43. >”Don’t be. I’ve seen what you can do, and its amazing.”
  44. >She relaxed her grip over you and stood back, wiping a strand of hair from your face as she looked at you affectionately
  45.
  46.
  47. >”You were just like me when I first started, you know that?”
  48. >You nodded your head
  49. >You had heard her tell you that many times before, although it still brought you a sense of comfort
  50. >The prospect that Sunset actually knows just how you might be feeling did much to relieve you
  51. >You even began to think that maybe, just maybe, if you tried really hard at this, then maybe you could become a bit more like her
  52. >You smiled weakly, feeling a small sense of confidence return
  53. “Thank you Sunset.”
  54. >She held her hands up to her suit coat, straightening it out as she stood in front of you and gave you a proud grin
  55. >”You’re going to be going out there pretty soon, is there anything else I can do to cheer you up or help smooth things over?”
  56. “Well, there was one thing I wanted to ask you.”
  57. >”Go ahead, shoot.”
  58. “How long has that camera guy been there?”
  59.
  60. >Sunset scowled fiercely as she looked behind her at the camera crew
  61. >She stomped forward and shoved the camera man to the ground
  62. >”This is a women’s locker room! GET OUT!”
  63. >The camera fumbled around in its owner’s grasp as he and his crew hurriedly backed away into the hallway
  64. >”Whoa! That’s a look you DON'T want to see eh Ben?”
  65. >”No you do not Drake, no you do not! Sunset may be retired from the circuit but its impossible for anyone to forget what she was capable of back when she was in her prime. I honestly envy all these newcomers who aren’t ever going to see what a demon she was firsthand!”
  66. >”A raging she-demon! That’s what they used to say. A real champion who inspired fear in just about every opponent who had the guts to even step up and take her on! As tempting as it sounds to try to sneak a peek at her in the lockers, I don’t think the loss of limb, life, and soul is quite worth it. Then again…”
  67. >"Easy there buddy. Remember there are kids watching this!”
  68. >”I see plenty of men and women out there tonight too, who CAN’T WAIT to get a load of what we have in store for them!”
  69. >”Damn straight! Stay tuned folks, because we’ve got an amazing lineup of new blood and fan favorites tonight, starting off with the debut arrival of possible champ-in-the making, SCI! You can catch it only RIGHT HERE AT THE DOUBLE U DOUBLE U E, DIVA SLAM! IT COULD HAPPEN, RIGHT HERE ON THE HUB!”
  70.
  71.
  72. "Hi there, I’m heavyweight Champion Rainbow Dash, and this is my friend Scootaloo. She’s fourteen years old and she’s already been a champion in her jr division wrestling division in middle school"
  73. >”And I’m starting on varsity next year in high school!”
  74. >Rainbow Dash smiled at the screen as she hung her arm over Scootaloo’s shoulder
  75. “She’ won plenty of fights in her life, and she’s got a lot more ahead of her on her path in life, but just last year she ended up winning the most important fight of her life…”
  76. >The camera immidately panned up to Rainbow’s face
  77. “…against Breast Cancer. We at the WWE have been working working in conjunction with several research foundations and treatment centers across the country for years, but our fight isn’t over yet.”
  78. >She pointed her finger directly at you
  79. “We need YOUR help! Every donation you make when you give money directly to the Rise Above Cancer campaign, or when you buy a Rise Above Cancer clothing article, goes directly to people like Scootaloo who are still in the middle of their own fights.”
  80. >”Together we can find a cure, and kick cancer’s ass!”
  81. >Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo proceed to laugh together

  88.
  89. >”Weeellllcome back, to the 24th annual, Diva Slam! I’m your host Ben Garrison.”
  90. >”And I’m Drake Bell!”
  91. >B: You know Drake, we’ve really got an amazing group of athletes here tonight, some new, some old, but all of them ready to show the WWE Universe just what they’re made of!”
  92. >D: That’s right Ben, tonight we’ve got two major crowd pleasers, Pinkie Pie and Lemon Zest facing off against one another for the first time in over a year!
  93. >B: We’ve also got a true pair of positively VICIOUS Divas are who looking to continue their rivalry. I’m talking about Rarity and Suri Polomare, two Divas who want nothing more than to tear each other apart!
  94. >D: I’m getting excited already!
  95. >B: Well don’t get too excited, cause we’ve also got one hell of a match coming up soon, as reigning Champ Rainbow Dash seeks to defend her title against long time frienemy APPLEJACK!
  96. >D: IT’S GONNA BE FREAKIN SICK!
  97. >B: Watch your language! Damn degenerate kids
  98. “Oh thank god.”
  99. >You buried your head between your knees as you slumped over on a couch in the backstage concessions room
  100. >You were terrified they were going to mention you again and inflate your match even more
  101. >You thought that, being a newcomer, you were just going to come out in the very beginning and face another newcomer
  102. >You could have walked out, gotten slapped around, and just left early without even having to be on TV
  103. >Instead they were going to put you in one of the later matches of the night
  104. >The network was really pushing your label, and you’re pretty sure it had more to do with your last name rather than how good you actually were
  105. >The door is kicked open and you jerk your head up
  106. “EEEEP!”
  107. >A heavily built man wearing a tight muscle shirt with the caption ‘I am the KNIGHT!’ swaggers in with a big stupid smile on his face
  108. >”Are you ready to KICK SOME ASS!?”
  109. >Your jaw drops and then quickly rises back up into a big smile
  110. “SHINEY!”
  111.
  112. >You hop off of the couch and wrap your arms around his massive frame as he lets loose a loud bombastic laugh
  113. “What are you doing here!? I thought you were in LA for that movie?”
  114. >”Yeah well, I had to make time to see my lil sis’s big debut!”
  115. >He dropped a hand over your head and playfully ruffled your hair as you giggled at him
  116. >”What’s with the lab coat and the glasses?”
  117. “Oh, its part of my costume. They liked my idea for pushing the whole heroic mad scientist angle so they really want me to play it up.”
  118. >”I thought you were supposed to be into magic and shit?”
  119. “Well, you ever hear that saying that magic is just highly advanced technology that we have yet to understand?”
  120. >”…. nope.”
  121. “Oh, well… I’m kind of pushing both angles a little I guess…”
  122. >Your face fell as you sighed
  123. “I have no idea what I’m doing.”
  124. >”Hey! Don’t talk like that, I know you’re going to do great out there!”
  125. >You shook your head
  126. “I guess… I still don’t know if I really belong here you know?”
  127. >Shining scratched the back of his head as he sighed in turn
  128. >”Well, did you hear anything back from that school at all?”
  129. >You pouted as you folded your arms over your chest
  130. “No. Six months and I haven’t heard anything. I feel like its hopeless…”
  131. >”Aw man, don’t be like that. Come on Twiley, what do we always say?”
  132. >He wrapped an arm around your back and placed his hand over your shoulder
  133. >His goofy grin was infectious, and you found yourself giving him a small smile in turn
  134. “Never give up!”
  135. >”That’s right! I know you’re going to be successful no matter what you end up doing. We’re winners! Never forget that.”
  136. >You rolled your eyes as he flexed his other arm for show
  137.
  138.
  139. >The door to the concessions room opened and a lady wearing a headset peered inside
  140. “Sci, you’re match starts in ten minutes!”
  141. >You recoiled as she uttered those words
  142. >Glancing up at your brother, he gave you a firm nod and a pat on the back
  143. >Sighing, you began to walk away
  144. “Twiley!”
  145. >You turned around and saw the determined look in your brother’s eyes
  146. “Yeah Shiney?”
  147. >He flexed his arms and puffed his chest out
  148. >You jolted as he raised his fist and throttled it through the wall, knocking over a framed poster with the words ‘Rise Above Cancer’ on it, which crashed to the ground
  149. >”SLAY! YOUR! ENEMIES!!!”
  150. >You stared at your brother with wide eyes as his chest rose and fell in the throes of his battle rage
  151. >Then you lost it
  152. “Hahahaha! Jesus Shiney.”
  153. >He tore his arm out of the wall, knocking some plaster and drywall onto the floor as he rubbed the back of his neck and blushed
  154. >”j-Just trying to get you pumped sis.”
  155. “Well I guess its working.”
  156. >You jogged up to your dumbass brother and gave him a quick hug before running away, your labcoat billowing in the air as you moved
  157. >Your jog began to slow to a walk as you neared your destination, the sounds of the roaring crowds crying in the distance
  158. “I wish mom and dad could see this too…”
  159. >Your hands gripped into fists as you held your head up high and took a deep breathe
  160. “I’m a winner. I never give up!”
  161. >You marched forward with a little newfound strength until you neared the opening stage
  162. >Your heart nearly stopped when you heard your theme song begin to play
  163.
  164. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ1vSQRyIdA
  165. >”LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, INTRODUCING WWE’S NEWEST DIVA, SCI!!!
  166. >You recoil in shock from the loudness of the music and the roaring applause of the crowd
  167. >Flashing lights and bursts of sparks surround you as you awkwardly stand on the stage
  168. >You glimpse at the TitanTron screen above you, which flashes images of shooting stars and astrological symbols, before swallowing your throat and staring at the audience
  169. >You are struck dumb for a moment as you take in the vastness of the crowds
  170. >There looks to be hundreds of them out there cheering, probably thousands
  171. >And all of their eyes are on you
  172. “Oh God Oh God Oh God.”
  173. >You begin to carefully step down the runway to the ring, all whilst attempting to block out the noise and ignore the many eyes staring at you
  174. >B: This here is a legend in the making.
  175. >D: I’m not so sure man, I mean we’ve seen what her brother Shining Armor can do but I’m still not sure I buy into your theory. I mean look at her man! She looks like she’s going to cry!
  176. >B: Yeah well, she may look a little rough around the edges but her pedigree alone speaks for her. She’s got the superior genes backing her up. I mean her parents basically bred the wrestling master race right here!
  177. >D: (chuckles) I don’t see blonde hair on her, and those eyes ain’t blue.
  178. >B: Shut up Drake.
  179. >D: I was just just joking man.
  180. >Your theme music continued to blare as you made your way toward the ring
  181. >You honestly kind of liked the song you picked, listening to this made you feel kind of tough
  182. >You really hoped people liked it, you didn’t want to pick something too odd
  183. >You began to worry that perhaps you should’ve picked something more Hip Hop like most of the other Divas, you didn’t want to stand out any more than you already did
  184.
  185.
  186. >When you reached the ring you nearly hopped inside from the floor but you faltered, as you worried about the possibility that you might not be able to clear the jump on your first try
  187. >Instead you climbed the short metal staircase and fumbled yourself through the ropes, nearly tripping and falling on your face
  188. “I’m so screwed.”
  189. >D: So what’s with the lab coat and glasses?
  190. >B: They are symbols of her intellect. Whereas some wrestlers pride themselves on how strong their bodies are, Sci prides herself on her strength of mind. And you know, some say a strong mind can translate to a Triumph of the Will
  191. >D: So can she like lift people and toss them around telekinetically and set stuff on fire with her scientific mind? That’d be rad!
  192. >B: You’re an idiot.
  193. >You walked over to a corner of the ring and slowly began to take off your coat and glasses
  194. >You stared in shame at the ground as you dropped them outside of the ring, revealing your purple leather two-piece outfit
  195. >You blushed furiously as you felt the eyes of the crowds intensify on you and the applause of the crowd grow in volume
  196. >You nervously rubbed your bare left arm, which was adorned with a sleeve tattoo displaying many intricate looking stars
  197. >You normally kept it covered up, but now here it was for the whole world to see
  198. >Knowing full well that your tattoo was visible, your highlighted hair was down, and the majority of your body was showing, your heart began to beat incredibly fast
  199. “I’ve made a huge mistake.”
  200. >You glanced up and saw the ref standing in front of you offering you a mic
  201. “Oh God.”
  202. >You’re supposed to speak
  203. >YOU FORGOT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO SPEAK
  204. >Your hand shook as you reached out for the mic being offered to you, and you felt what little self-confidence you had moments before begin to vanish as your music died down
  205. “…uh hello?!”
  206. >The mic emitted an ear piercing screech as the entire stadium fell quiet
  207. >You think you’re going to throw up again
  208.
  209. “So uhh, I’ve been hearing a lot of people saying some really messed up things about me. People have been saying that I don’t have what it takes to uhhh be here and wrestle and all. a-And I think its a load of crap!”
  210. >You put your hand over the mic and frantically turned to the ref
  211. “I can say crap right?”
  212. >He maintained his deadpan stare as you held your mic back up to your mouth
  213. “I do have what it takes! I mean I think I do, I did really well in the minor leagues, and I did some wrestling back in high school, and jr. high, and grade school. So I think I have a lot of experience. I didn’t do so well in the minor divisions but this is going to be different! I got—I am—I... I’m ready to kick some a—“
  214. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl1fGEPWIP0
  215. >The crowd rose up and roared once more as the opening stage lit up in an orgy of light and sound
  216. >”LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WELCOME TRIXIE AND THE ILLUSIONS!"
  217. >A blue skinned woman with long white hair and a slender body emerged from the stage
  218. >She wore a wide brimmed witch’s hat and a revealing sky blue two piece outfit that was covered in glitter
  219. >She was flanked by two other women who were similarly dressed as her with glittery outfits, with one of them carrying an electric guitar slung to her back
  220. >The three of them slowly walked down the runway, taking time to gesture toward the crowds of adoring fans on either side of them
  221. >She slowly strutted up to the stage with a confident smirk before hopping up to the rope
  222. >She hung off the edge of the ring with one foot planted on the stage and the other hanging to the side as she raised her arm and waved at the crowds around her
  223. >”THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRRRRRIIIIIXIE, has arrived!”
  224. >The crowds went wild as people waved around posters with the words 'TRICKS UP MY SLEEVE!' scrawled on them
  225. >She bobbed under the rope and immediately ran across the ring and reached her hands down to her two Illusions, who she helped up
  226.
  227. >The two Illusions hung on the edge of the ring outside the ropes as their leader faced you
  228. >Her confident smirk widened as she took off her witch’s hat, flung it into the crowd, and tossed back her long silvery white hair before strolling up to you with her own mic in hand
  229. >”The GREAT and POWERFUL TRIXIE!!!... is thrilled to see her adoring fans once more! She only wishes that she could offer you a more entertaining match, against a REAL wrestler!”
  230. “w-What?"
  231. >You stepped back as she jabbed an accusatory finger at you
  232. >”TWILIGHT SPARKLE! Oh wait, that’s SCI now isn’t it? Master of intellect, a born prodigy? Or perhaps, a black sheep is more like it!”
  233. >A bead of sweat dripped down your cheek as you stared at her wide-eyed
  234. “i-I don’t know what you’re—“
  235. >”You know EXACTLY what Trixie is talking about! You don’t belong here Sci, you’re only here because you have nowhere else to go.”
  236. >Trixie twirled about and faced the crowd
  237. >”We all know just how desperate you have been to start a career as an intellectual, its public knowledge that you’ve been trying SO very hard for SUCH a long time to get into the Everton Institute of Scientific Studies!”
  238. “h-How do you…”
  239. >You glanced up at the massive TitanTron screen, which was currently displaying your terrified face
  240. “WHY AM I ALWAYS ON CAMERA!?”
  241. >”You only joined the WWE as a last resort when it became clear that you weren’t getting into Everton any time soon. With nowhere left to turn, you crawled your way into the WWE Universe by using your family’s sterling reputation to your advantage!”
  242. >You hung your head in shame as she leered at you
  243. “I, I think I worked really hard to get he—"
  244. >”The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie never needed anything but her own innate skill to get where she is now, that is why she is a true wrestler while you are nothing more than a wash-up with connections!”
  245. >You sniffled as you felt a single tear well up in your eye
  246.
  247.
  248. >The TitanTron then went black, and as you turned to face it you saw Sunset Shimmer staring down at you from her corporate office
  249. >Her hands were clasped together on her desk, next to her black coffee mug which proudly displayed the words 'World’s Best Director of Operations’ in blood red letters
  250. “Sunset!”
  251. >She stared down at you and Trixie with an unamused scowl
  252. >”You know, we have a poster hanging on the wall here in the office that has a saying on it that I like quite a lot. ‘When you play with fire, you get BURNED.’”
  253. >…
  254. >Her scowl instantly vanished and she smiled warmly at you two
  255. >”Its the heading above our Fire Safety Code. Although I think it applies pretty well to what we’re seeing here. Trixie, on behalf of the audience, the WWE Universe, and everyone who came here to see a fight, I think its time you stopped talking and you started showing people just how ‘great’ and ‘powerful' you’re supposed to be.”
  256. >You swear you heard Trixie gulp as she stared up at Sunset and took a step back
  257. >”a-An excellent idea ! Let us begin!”
  258. >D: Its not too often that Sunset interrupts one of Trixie’s verbal smack downs.
  259. >B: Well she’s got a point. Let’s get this shoah on the road!
  260. >Your body shuddered as you heard the bell ring, and when you turned to face Trixie you saw that her smile and air of smugness had disappeared
  261. >She circled around you with her arms raised
  262. >”Now then, prove to Trixie that you aren’t simply wasting her time!”
  263. >You glanced up at the screen in time to see Sunset smirk before the feed cut back to the ring, which showed Trixie staring you down
  264. “Damnit Sunset.”
  265.
  266. >You turned your head back just in time to see Trixie lunge at you, with a clothesline punch
  267. >You duck under, and not a moment too soon, as she runs into the ropes
  268. >Bouncing off of them, she charges you again and delivers a second clothesline
  269. >You aren’t so quick this time, as you get knocked to the ground with a loud slam
  270. >A sharp pain shoots throughout your back as you feel the ring below you shake
  271. >D: That looked like it hurt!
  272. >You fight through the pain and force yourself back up to your feet as quickly as you can only for Trixie to pounce on you again,
  273. >You’re hurtled forward as Trixie delivers a sharp kick to your back
  274. >Your back continues to sting as you become entangled in the ropes
  275. >You straighten yourself back up and lean against the ropes as Trixie rests her fists on her hips and chuckles at you
  276. >”Trixie will enjoy this!”
  277. >You tried to disentangle yourself, only to find to your horror you that two pairs of hands had clasped around your arms, holding you back
  278. >B: Trixie’s Illusions have her pinned!
  279. >D: Wow, the fight’s barely just started and she already has her cronies backing her up!
  280. “Hey! This is illeg—“
  281. >The breathe was knocked right out of you as Trixie’s head collided with your abdomen
  282. >B: Aw jeez, Trixie nailed her with a Battering Ram!
  283. >The Illusions let go of you as you slump to the floor, your hands grasping your bruised chest
  284. >”Ha Ha HA! You haven’t even laid a single hand on Trixie yet, just what do you intend to do?”
  285. >Behind you, you heard the sound of a power chord being played by the Illusion with the guitar in celebration of your pain
  286.
  287.
  288. “This is BEYOND humiliating!"
  289. >You began to stand back up again only for the other Illusion to grapple you from behind once more as she held you in a Full Nelson
  290. >You gritted your teeth
  291. “LET. GO!”
  292. >As Trixie charged at you, intending to pull off another Battering Ram, you leaned back into the ropes into the Illusion and raised your legs
  293. >As Trixie closed in, you positioned your legs up at her and kicked her back, causing her to fall to the ground with a satisfying ‘thud!'
  294. >At this point the Ref finally got off his ass and walked over to the Illusion who promptly let go of you as he began to shout
  295. >Trixie quickly rose to her feet as you walked away from the edge of the ring
  296. >The two of you stared one another down for a tense moment, a single hand of yours held over your abdomen
  297. >D: Sci’s off to a pretty rocky start.
  298. >B: She looks like she’s starting to get pretty frustrated too.
  299. >D: Hell I know I would be too. Trixie’s just been merciless to her!
  300. >B: Well let’s see if Sci can’t get something going now that she’s gotten a little bloodied.
  301. >You and Trixie charged one another and collided near the center of the ring, your arms wrapping around one another in an intense grapple
  302. >You pushed down on her as hard as you could, but she was a lot stronger than she looked
  303. >”COME NOW, ARE YOU EVEN TRYING!?”
  304. >Just as you were beginning to ignore the pain in your stomach, she pulled you in and slammed her knee into your gut
  305. >You spat at the ground as you fell to your knees
  306. “Son of a—“
  307. >Trixie’s fist crashed into your face and sent you sprawling on your back
  308. >As you fought back the tears of pain you saw Trixie fly down over you
  309. >Your mouth wrenched open in agony as her elbow smashed into your chest
  310. >You were so stunned that you had barely registered that her body had crawled on top of yours
  311. >”1! 2!—“
  312. >All the intense pain coursing through your body ceased for a moment as you instincitively kicked out
  313.
  314.
  315. >B: I have to hand it to Sci, she knows how to take a beating.
  316. >D: Yeah, but would it kill her to throw a freaking punch?
  317. >Your body shuddered as you rolled over onto your stomache, your arms trembling as you attempted to rise up
  318. >Your chest rose and fell quickly as you struggled to breathe
  319. “Why did I kick out? God DaAAAHHHHH—"
  320. >You found yourself being forcibly raised to your feet as Trixie grabbed you by your hair
  321. “LET GO OF ME! GRABBING YOUR OPPONENT’S HAIR IS—“
  322. *SLAP!*
  323. >A sharp pain stung your cheek and silenced you as Trixie’s hand swatted you
  324. *SLAP!*
  325. >”Setting me up with such a weakling, what an INSULT this match has been to Trixie’s honor!"
  326. >You desperately clawed at her hand as she swung you aside and tossed you face first toward the corner post
  327. *CLANG*
  328. >D: JESUS!
  329. >Your vision darkened as your body hung limply over the ropes,
  330. >After a few moments of pure shock, you flipped over and fell to your butt as your arms absently grabbed the ropes
  331. >Trixie stood over you with a confident smirk
  332. >”Ready to give up?”
  333. >Your breathing came out in ragged huffs and your body groaned in agony as you forced yourself back to your feet
  334. >You desperately wanted to say yes, throw in the towel and just get out of here
  335. >So why were you shaking your head?
  336. >Trixie scowled at you
  337. >”Trixie is growing quite tired of this charade. If you aren’t going to put up a show then DON’T WASTE HER TIME!"
  338. >Rational thought was clearly beginning to fail you at this point as you stood up and took a precarious step towards her
  339.
  340. >You were so tired and battered that you couldn’t even find the energy to defend yourself as she charged you with another Battering Ram
  341. >You were knocked back by her ferocious blow into the corner post
  342. >Your body began to slowly fall to the ground until she grabbed you and propped you up against the post
  343. >She raised her other hand up high and playfully twirled it about into a fist
  344. >D: Looks like she’s about to show us the Tricks up her Sleeve!
  345. >Her fist smashed into your cheek
  346. >You could hear the crowd chanting behind you as her fist pummeled into you
  347. >”1! 2! 3! 4! 5!”
  348. >As she continued to wail into you, you could vaguely make out the sound of her Illusion shredding on her guitar in jubilation
  349. >The sound of the guitar solo began to peter out as your vision grew darker and darker
  350. “I just… want to… give up...”
  351. “I give up! I GIVE UP! I hate this! I HATE THIS!
  352. >”Hey champ, what’s the matter?”
  353. “d-Daddy?”
  354. >You opened your eyes and stared at the division problem on your math worksheet
  355. >When you glanced up you saw your father smiling down at you in his radiant glory
  356. “t-This is too hard. I hate math!”
  357. >”Come on Twilight, I know it seems hard now but there’s nothing you can’t accomplish when you put your mind to it.”
  358. >Your father pulled up a chair and sat next to you at your table
  359. >”Would you like me to help?”
  360. >You pouted and folded your arms over your chest as you slowly nodded your head
  361. >”Here, 24 divided by 6… you know addition right?”
  362. “y-Yeah…”
  363. >”Well think of it like its an addition problem. What’s 6+6?”
  364. “Uhm… 12?
  365. >”That’s right. It took you two 6’s to make 12. If the problem was 12 divided by 6, then you’d have the answer already, 2.”
  366. “Ok…”
  367. >”So, how many 6’s do you need to add together to make 24?”
  368. “4!”
  369. >Your father smiled as he clasped a hand over you shoulder
  370.
  371.
  372. >”That’s exactly right! 24 divided by 6 is 4.”
  373. >You happily scrawled the answer down
  374. >”Now can you do that again with another one? 36 divided by 9. How many times do you have to add 9’s together to make 36?”
  375. >You scratched your head and closed your eyes as you thought long and hard
  376. “4!”
  377. >”You got it again! See, this division stuff isn’t so hard is it?”
  378. “I guess not. Thanks Dad…”
  379. >Your father gave you a warm smile, as he sat by your side and watched you continue the rest of your homework
  380. >You hummed happily to yourself as you quickly finished through several more problems, stopping to look up at your father to confirm if you were right or not
  381. >You sped through over half of your worksheet and then suddenly you stopped
  382. >”Do you need more help?”
  383. “n-No, I got it…”
  384. >You went through the rest of the worksheet as slowly as you could
  385. >It wasn’t so often that your father had the time to help you with your homework
  386. >He was always so busy
  387. >You thought that maybe, if you took longer to finish your work, then the longer your Dad could sit here with you
  388. >Maybe you could make him sit so long with you that night could fall and he could stay for dinner
  389. >You soon regretted having finished those earlier problems so quickly, now each of the few problems you had left slowly and painfully dwindled away beneath your pencil until there was almost none left
  390. >You held back tears as you finished your very last problem
  391. “I… I’m done *sniff*…”
  392. >Your body jolted in surprise as your father wrapped his wide arms around you
  393. >”You did great! I’m very proud of you Champ.”
  394. >You closed your eyes and cuddled up next to him
  395. “Thanks Daddy…”
  396.
  397.
  398. >”Twilight… can you promise me something?”
  399. “Huh? s-Sure I can daddy, what is it?”
  400. >…
  401. >”Never give up.”
  402. “What?”
  403. >”Twilight, you’re going to grow up to be an amazing woman some day, but I’m not always going to be around to see you or help you. I know that whatever happens you’re going to be OK as long as you believe in yourself. So please, never give up.”
  404. >You frowned
  405. >What did he mean by that?
  406. >You can’t imagine what life would be like without your daddy
  407. >You don’t want him to go, but you don’t want to disappoint him either
  408. >You hold back your tears
  409. >You want to be strong, just like Daddy
  410. “I promise. I’ll never give up.”
  411. >You felt something wet drop over your shoulder
  412. >Was your father… crying?
  413. >”That’s my girl…”
  414.
  415.
  416. >”12! 13! 14!—“
  417. >Trixie jumped back away from you and began to strut around the ring, clapping her hands together over her head as the crowd cheered her on
  418. >”I think its time that Trixie ended this!”
  419. “…”
  420. >She smirked as she bent back her arm with a pulsating fist and charged you
  421. >”FIFT—“
  422. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09UUsoPFgvw
  423. >You raised up your hand and caught her fist
  424. >”WHAT?!”
  425. >You glared at Trixie
  426. >She brought back her other fist and swung, only for you to catch that fist with your other hand
  427. >You stepped forward and forced her back
  428. >”How are you—?”
  429. >You jerked your head and slammed it into her face, sending her reeling out of your grasp
  430. >D: WHOA! Where did that come from?!
  431. >”YOU INSOLENT— AHHHH!”
  432. >Trixie pounded her fist into your cheek, causing your head to twist slightly
  433. >You slammed your own fist into her gut, causing her to buckle over
  434. >She growled and swung at you with an uppercut that landed directly under your chin, which caused your head to jerk back
  435. >You roared as you clasped your hands together and crashed them down upon Trixie’s head, causing her to collapse to the ground
  436. >B: A DOUBLE AXE HANDLE! TRIXIE IS DOWN!
  437. >D: I don’t believe it! Is this the same Sci we saw walk into the ring!?
  438. >B: Look at that! Trixie is at her mercy!
  439. >D: Hold on, where is she going?
  440. >You slide out of the ring, directly in front of the Illusion who previously grabbed you in a Full Nelson
  441. >She backed away from you with her open palms held up in front of her
  442. >As you closed in on her, she panicked
  443. >She wildly swung at you and you caught her arm
  444. >Leaning back onto your heels, you flung her face first into the metal stairs at the corner of the ring
  445. >She collided into them so hard that they were flung back several inches as she collapsed to the ground
  446. >B + D: DAMN!
  447.
  448. >You huffed at her before walking over to the third Illusion who held the guitar
  449. >She quaked before you as you stomped towardf her
  450. “Guitar.”
  451. >”Wh-What?!”
  452. “Give it to me.”
  453. >Her hands shook as she handed you the guitar
  454. >D: SHE’S GOT AN AXE!
  455. >”n-No hard feelings right?”
  456. >You raised the axe up high and slashed it down over her head
  457. >The guitar exploded into splinters and strings as she fell to the ground amidst the debris
  458. >B: INCREDIBLE! She just took out both of the Illusions without breaking a sweat!
  459. >D: This is nuts! Where did this come from!?
  460. >You exhaled as you dropped what remained of the guitar and hopped back inside the ring, where Trixie had just finished rising back to her feet
  461. >”YOU! Just how are you doing this? No one can take a beating like that and just come back!”
  462. >You scowled at her as your shoulders rose and fell with each breathe
  463. “I… Never.. GIVE. UP!”
  464. >Trixie’s face darkened as she sneered at you
  465. >”We’ll see about that!”
  466. >Trixie charged at you and you at her, colliding together into a grapple at the center of the ring
  467. >She was still quite strong, although you were not buckling under her as easily as before
  468. >Suddenly you slid out of her grip and held onto her from behind, but just when you tried to capitalize on her vulnerability, she similarly slid out of your grasp and grappled you from behind, putting you in a headlock
  469. >D: This looks bad for Sci, can she break out of that hold?!
  470. >Your knees began to buckle underneath the pressure Trixie was pushing down on you
  471. >You snarled as her grip around your throat tightened
  472. >”FALL. DOWN!”
  473. >You gritted your teeth as you slowly straightened your legs
  474. >You rose up and stood tall as Trixie hung around your throat, her feet hovering and kicking just above the floor
  475. “AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!”
  476. >You collapsed backwards and slammed Trixie to the ground
  477. >She shrieked in pain and lost her grip over you, allowing you to slowly rise up to your feet
  478.
  479.
  480. >You trudged away from Trixie and fell forward, your hands falling over onto the ropes
  481. >D: She looks like she’s in pretty bad shape
  482. >B: Which one? They both look like they’ve been through Hell!
  483. >Looking down, you could see that the two Illusions were still writhing on the ground
  484. >You took a deep breathe and turned your body around to see Trixie slowly rising back up to her feet as well
  485. >The two of you glared at one another
  486. “Still think… I don’t… belong here?”
  487. >Trixie’s hands balled into fists as her body trembled
  488. >”ENOUGH! Trixie will end this NOW!”
  489. >Lowering her head, she began to scuff the floor with her boots like a bull preparing to gore someone
  490. >You began to slowly walk toward her with your arms outstretched
  491. >B: Trixie’s going to try another Battering Ram!
  492. >D: Can Sci take another one of those!?
  493. >Trixie stampeded towards you as you marched toward her
  494. >Her Battering Ram collided directly into your gut so fiercely that you were nearly thrown off your feet
  495. >Gritting your teeth, you struggled to hold your balance for a moment before you grappled her with your own arms as her head laid planted into you
  496. >With nearly every last ounce of your strength, you grabbed under her and lifted her up, her head facing the ground below
  497. “SHOVE THIS UP YOUR SLEEVE!”
  498. >With that, you kicked out your own legs and dropped to the floor with Trixie, her head impacting the ground and breaking your fall
  499. >B+D: A DRAGON SUPLEX!!!
  500.
  501. >You fell onto your back as you let go of Trixie and let her slump to the floor
  502. >You laid there a moment as the adrenaline drained from your body and you stared up at the bright lights hanging from the ceiling
  503. >Then you took one large breath and flipped yourself onto your stomach
  504. >Crawling over to Trixie, you flung yourself atop her body as the ref kneeled down beside you both and raised his hand up high
  505. >”1! 2! 3!!!”
  506. *DING* *DING* *DING*
  507. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ1vSQRyIdA
  508. >B: THIS MATCH IS OVER! SCI HAS WON IT IN AN UPSET!
  509. >D: I don’t believe it!? She took one of the most brutal one-sided beatdowns I’ve seen in years but she still came back!
  510. >You rolled off of Trixie, and as your theme music began to kick in you slowly found the strength to sit up
  511. “I…. won?”
  512. >You smiled
  513. “I WON! I WOOOOOON!!!”
  514. >You stood up to your feet so quickly that you nearly stumbled back to the ground again in exhaustion
  515. >Sliding out of the ring, you ungracefully dropped to the ground and stumbled forward against a wall that separated you from the audience
  516. >Several WWE fans reached out to you and patted you on the back
  517. >”HOLY CRAP THAT WAS COOL!”
  518. >”YOU WERE SO AWESOME!”
  519. >”THAT SUPLEX WAS SO REAL!!!”
  520. >You shoved yourself away from the wall and blushed as these people chanted your name and clambered for your attention
  521. “They like me?…”
  522. >You formed a small smile on your lips as you began to walk back up the runway, a hand of yours reflexively rubbing your tattooed arm
  523. >You strode up the ramp a little more confidently than when you last walked across it, although having these people cheer you on was still quite embarassing
  524. >Surprisingly enough, when you reached the runway entrance you managed to find the confidence to raise your tattooed arm up in the air as you held a fist up high in victory
  525. >The crowds went wild as the stadium shook before you
  526.
  527. >You froze in that pose as your eyes blinked in confusion, a strange sound reaching your ears over the horizon
  528. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJbmB9k2Y88
  529. >Your brother emerged out of the entrance, pumping his hands in the air as he walked up to you
  530. “Shiney?”
  531. >He swung his arms around you and lifted you up in the air while the audience roared in applause
  532. >”YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!”
  533. >You laughed as he twirled around in a circle while holding you up high
  534. >Then you placed a hand over your mouth as you started to get dizzy
  535. “SHINEY! DOWN! NOW!”
  536. >He stumbled as he halted his twirling and dropped you to your feet
  537. >He raised a hand over the back of his neck and blushed
  538. >”My bad sis, Its just that—you SLAYED them! IT WAS GLORIOUS!”
  539. >You blushed as the crowds around you began to chant
  540. >”SCI! SCI! SCI! SCI! SCI! SCI!”
  541. >You shrunk away behind your brother as the crowd’s chant began to grow in volume
  542. “Can we please go now?”
  543. >Your brother raised an eyebrow as he looked down at you
  544. >”Hey are you alright?”
  545. >You grinned up at him
  546. “I’m a lot better than ‘alright’.”
  547. >Your brother smiled at you as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder and the two of you walked away off the stage and out of sight
  548. >D: Ha! So much for being the black sheep of the family. Looks like Ben Garrison was right again! Sorry Trixie!
  549. >B: Pay close attention folks, you are watching the heirs of a legendary legacy right here!
  550. >D: It looks like this is only the beginning of her WWE career!
  551. >B: And you know what Drake? We’re just getting started right here too! Up next we’re going to see whether or not the reigning Diva Champ Rainbow Dash can hold onto her title against long time friend and rival, APPLEJACK!
  552. >D: DAMN I ALMOST FORGOT! Better stay tuned folks, as we’ve got a lot more action on the way as we wrap up the WWE DIVA SLAM! Remember, IT COULD HAPPEN, RIGHT HERE ON THE HUB!!!

  555.
  556. >The Titantron screen lights up, showing Sunset Shimmer adorned in her tan business suit
  557. >She sits in front of her desk in a small office room, a silver cigar case sitting in front of her and a black coffee mug in her hand, the words ‘World’s Best Director of Operations’ written on it in blood red letters
  558. >A red light flashes on her phone as she smiles down at it
  559. “Luna? You still there?”
  560. >”I can hear you Shimmer, now go on. I need to make sure you’ve got everything handled.”
  561. “Pfff, easy. The crowds are going to love what I’ve got set up!”
  562. >”You still haven’t told me what’s up for the main event tonight.”
  563. “Right. Rainbow Dash is still a bit roughed up from last night’s Diva’s Slam, but she insists on going out and it doesn’t look like she’s in too bad a shape. I thought I’d set her up with Starlight Glimmer, she’s been itching for a good fight for a while and—“
  564. >”We had Starlight and Rainbow wrap up their feud over a year ago. We’d rather not see it crop up again.”
  565. >Sunset scowled down at her phone as she set her coffee mug aside
  566. “Ooookay, so I don’t have many other wrestlers out here tonight. I really don’t know—“
  567. >”Celestia and I were pretty impressed by that newcomer, Sci. Why don’t we set her up with Rainbow tonight?”
  568. >Sunset’s face contorted into a surprised frown
  569. “She JUST started last night and you want her to go up against the Diva’s Champion?”
  570. >”Yes, yes I do.”
  571. >Sunset folded her arms, leaned back into her chair, and shook her head
  572. “I really don’t know if she’s… I mean—“
  573. >”She showed a lot of grit last night, and the crowd ate it up. I was PERSONALLY impressed, but now I want to see what she can do in a real fight. Set it up.”
  574. >Sunset hung her head and sighed
  575. “I’ll take care of it.”
  576. >Sunset picked a cigar out of her case and lit it as she hung up on Luna
  577.
  578.
  579. >She sighed as she held the lit cigar in her hand before snarling and snapping it in half
  580. >She raises her cup of coffee and downs it all in one gulp as an intern walks into view
  581. “You! Get Rainbow Dash in here, and someone tell me where Sci is! It’s going to be one of those nights, I can feel it…"

  587. >ON THE LAST UPDATE OF CENALIGHT
  588. >Twilight Sparkle, better known now as the scientifically and magically themed Wrestling Diva SCI, made her grand debut into the DOUBLE U DOUBLE U E Universe
  589. >On the night of the WWE Diva Slam, Sci was sent out to prove her worth against a notorious trio of Divas, The Great and Powerful Trixie and her Illusions
  590. >Although Trixie fought dirty and showed Sci no mercy, our hero was able to dig deep within herself and fight back, demonstrating that despite her demure appearance that this Diva possessed an uncompromising ability to Never Give Up
  591. >Sci defeated Trixie and emerged the victor in her very first professional match, but now only greater challenges will await her as her next match approaches
  592. >How fierce will her next fight be, and more importantly, what plans do the fellow Divas have in store for their newest compatriot?
  593. >THAT QUESTION WILL BE ANSWERED TONIGHT ON CENAAAAAALIGHT
  594.
  595. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmcEnZSiFQ8
  596.
  597.
  598. >Be Sci
  599. >You sit in the concessions room alone as the music blares on the TV screen, heralding the start of tonight’s fights
  600. >You pay little attention as it goes on, as you are mainly busy with your own work
  601. >You were only called in tonight as a backup in case anyone else couldn’t fight for whatever reason
  602. >This is fine with you, as it gives you time to go over your practice tests
  603. >You take out your alarm clock, set it for thirty minutes, and when you are ready you slap it and begin to take the Math portion of your practice exam
  604. >It had been over a year since you last took this exam, and for whatever reason you never heard back after taking it the first time
  605. >It was an unfortunate circumstance that you didn’t intend to repeat
  606. >This time you are going to give it everything you've got
  607. >Getting into the Everton Institute would be a dream come true, you’d just need to beat this exam and you’d be able to get an interview with them
  608. >That would be a bit more challenging, but it would still be a step forward
  609. >That isn’t to say you hate being in the WWE, but….
  610. >No time to think about that now
  611. >You pounce upon your practice test as the TV continues to loudly display the opening fights
  612. >You effortlessly, but determinedly, blitz through the opening salvos of the exam
  613. >It really isn’t challenging at all, but you aren’t about to underestimate anything this exam might throw at you
  614. >There is no room for mistakes now
  615. >”WELL HOWDY YOU MUST BE SCI!”
  616. >God Fucking Damnit
  617. >You lift your head up and give as polite a smile as you can
  618. >She has ripping muscles on her arms, as well as a visible six pack
  619. >Adorned around her legs are a pair of tight jean shorts, as well as a pair of western cowboy chaps
  620. >She wears a Stetson cowboy hat that sits atop a long crop of blonde hair
  621. >Around her torso is a Native American vest, and around her waist is a snake belt with a large silver and gold belt buckle with the initials ‘AJ’ proudly displayed on it
  622.
  623. “h-Hi there… who are you?”
  624. >”MUH NAME’S APPLEJACK! You Must be dat Sci character who dun kicked the stuffin’ outta Trixie and does Illusions ah’ve her’s last night.”
  625. >Dear God what is she saying?
  626. >Her accent is so thick
  627. >Is she doing this on purpose?
  628. “uhhhh yeah, that was me."
  629. >She shoves her hand out to you and you reach up and shake it as firmly as you can
  630. >Her grip is very tight, and her smile is also quite large
  631. >”Boi howdy that fight you two had last night sure was sumthing!"
  632. >You chuckle as you let go of her grip, stop your clock, and set aside your practice exam
  633. “t-Thank you Applejack… so uh, nice to meet you?”
  634. >”Nice to meet ya too! So yer pretty new right? Just started out?”
  635. “y-Yeah, that’s right. Last night was my very first match in the WWE… you really think I did ok?”
  636. >”You were sumthin’ that’s fer sure! Ah don’t think ah’ve ever seen anyone take ah beating like dat and have such a comeback like you did!”
  637. >You blush a little
  638. “t-Thanks…”
  639. >You aren’t very familiar with Applejack
  640. >You think you’ve seen her wrestle a few times, and apparently she’s suppose to be one of the more popular Divas
  641. >She certainly looks pretty fit
  642. >Much more so than you and Trixie
  643. >She tips her hat at you and walks over to the concessions table, grabbing an ear of corn and a plate before plopping down on the couch next to you
  644. >”Whatchya workin’ on der?”
  645. >You glance down back at your papers before looking up to her
  646. “I’m just studying is all.”
  647. >”Yer not still in school are ya?”
  648. “n-No, I graduated high school years ago, I’m just kind of looking into this one university…”
  649. >”Oh.”
  650. >She begins to munch on her food as you absently stare back at your work
  651.
  652.
  653.
  654. >”Ah’m not bothering you am I?”
  655. “n-No, I ‘m fine.”
  656. >”Alright.”
  657. >As you begin to focus back on your paper, you become highly aware of Applejack’s loud chewing
  658. >In hindsight, you should have found a quieter spot to study
  659. >You feel like kind of an asshole brushing her off, but at the same time you feel like she should be getting the message that you would like to be left alone
  660. >You sincerely hope you don’t offend her
  661. >A period of time passes in which you try, and fail, to regain your focus on your studies while worrying about your behavior towards Applejack, as she stuffs her face all the while
  662. >After about half an hour, she hops out of her seat and tosses her plate in the trash
  663. >”Well I best be gettin’ ready for muh next match! Good luck in yer fight! I softened her up for ya as much as I could last night!”
  664. >You sigh in relief
  665. “Good luck to you too!”
  666. >You awkwardly wave to her as she exits the room, relief washing over you when you are finally alone again
  667. >You reach for your papers and your clock
  668. >You messed up your math portion of the practice exam, but you figure you can at least make up for it by starting anew with your reading portion
  669. >You’re just about to start it when you realize what Applejack had said before she left
  670. “Good luck in your fight?”
  671. >You weren’t supposed to fight tonight
  672. >Sunset never told you that anyway
  673. >As you balk at your papers, the door suddenly opens again
  674. >”Hello?
  675. >You scowl angrily at your work before forcing a smile and lifting your head up to face the next person to walk inside
  676.
  677.
  678. >She has a slender, yet athletic looking blue body
  679. >Around her chest is a tight purple tube top, and around her lower body is a pair of tight black trunks
  680. >What disintguishes her most though is the white wrapping around her forearms that run up to her fists, as well as her various tattoos
  681. >Along much of her arms and some of her upper body lies tattoos of all shapes and sizes
  682. >You find a few of them quite beautiful, while others are a bit jarring
  683. >She smiles at you as she walks over and raises a hand up to you
  684. >”My name’s Starlight, and you must be Sci!”
  685. “y-Yeah, that’s right…”
  686. >You raise up your own hand and shake hers as she beams down at you
  687. >”I LOVE that pattern of stars along your arm! It looks so… mystical.”
  688. >You blink at her before looking down at your arm
  689. >You always felt a bit self-conscious about your sleeve tattoo
  690. >Hearing her compliment it was a very nice change of pace compared to what you were used to hearing
  691. “Thank you! Your tattoos are very pretty too.”
  692. >She continues to smile at you as she takes a seat next to you on the couch
  693. >Looking her over, you begin to admire the various different tattoos all over her body
  694. >She seems to notice you’re gaze, as she points at a spot over her right elbow, where the number 13 lies
  695. >”13 is my lucky number, many attribute it as an ill omen but the number has always served me well.”
  696. “Thats… pretty cool!”
  697. >You put aside your papers and start to pay her more attention
  698. “So what’s that symbol on your left shoulder? It kind of looks like the Sprite soda symbol.”
  699. >”It is.”
  700. “Oh… why do you have Sprite tattooed on your shoulder?”
  701. >”I like Sprite.”
  702. “Oh…”
  703.
  704.
  705. >The two of you pass the time talking for a short while, mostly listening to her explain her various tattoos and the stories behind them
  706. >She’s a bit odd, but she is also quite friendly
  707. “So have you been wrestling for a while?”
  708. >”Just over 5 years now.”
  709. “Wow… any advice?”
  710. >”Advice?”
  711. >You scratch the back of your neck as she looks at you skeptically
  712. “y-Yeah, you know, just anything that maybe a beginner like me should be aware of…?”
  713. >You rub your arm and look away as she continues to eye you curiously
  714. >Your body jolts when you feel her hand fall over yours and you look to see her smiling warmly at you
  715. >”The best advice I can ever give you is to just have fun.”
  716. “h-Have fun?”
  717. >She nods her head
  718. >”I’ve seen plenty of other wrestlers get into this just so they could make money, or because they wanted to be famous… but I’m telling you that if you just focus on enjoying it, and stay true to yourself, that you’ll be successful.”
  719. >You found her advice rather strange
  720. >It was a bit less intensive than focusing on being a winner
  721. >A part of you did enjoy wrestling quite a bit, although you still couldn’t decide if it was what you wanted to focus on as a career
  722. >Maybe approaching all of this as just something to do for fun would be a bit healthier
  723. >”Want something to eat?”
  724. “Huh, oh sure!”
  725. >The two of you hop off of the couch and step over to the concessions table
  726. >There is quite a lot of different snacks for both of you here
  727. >”Can you grab me a drink?”
  728. “No problem!”
  729. >You bend over to the side and face the cooler
  730. >You grab Starlight a Sprite while grabbing a Bud for yourself, handing her the drink as you crack open your beer
  731. “Cheers!”
  732.
  733. >As you tilt the beer up to your lips, you feel Starlight’s hand grasping your wrist and stopping you before you can have a taste
  734. >She is giving you a rather serious scowl
  735. >You instantly realize that having a beer while you are supposed to be serving as a relief wrestler might have been a bad idea
  736. “Crap! Sorry, I didn’t mean to—“
  737. >”I must ask that you never have alcohol in my presence.”
  738. >A tense silence falls over the two of you
  739. “What?”
  740. >You lower your drink onto the table as Starlight continues to scowl at you
  741. >”I don’t mean to offend Sci, but I believe alcohol to be a pitiful substance that only leads to weakness. An aspiring wrestler such as yourself should avoid it completely.”
  742. “I—uh, what?”
  743. >Starlight places her Sprite down onto the counter and then raises her arms up and crosses them over her chest before shooting them out before you
  744. >You see the phrase ‘Drug Free’ tattooed clearly on her knuckles
  745. >”I believe the path to power and inner strength lies through the rejection of such weaknesses as alcohol, which is why I embrace a Straight Edge lifestyle.”
  746. “Straight Edge? You mean like, you don’t drink at all ever?”
  747. >”I do not drink, I do not smoke, I do not indulge in any drugs at all, and I abstain from sex as much as possible. I focus only on combat, and temporal strength. If I could offer you any advice at all aside from having fun it would be to reject such distractions, they will ONLY slow you down in your path to glory.”
  748. >You wither slightly under her stern and somewhat intimidating gaze
  749. “s-Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you or anything.”
  750. >A small smile forms on her lips as she drops her hands by her sides
  751. >”I accept your apology.”
  752. >As Starlight begins to fix herself a plate of food, the door opens up again
  753. >As you turn toward it, you see Sunset Shimmer enter the room
  754.
  755.
  756. >”Sci, we need to talk.”
  757. >The look she gives you is surprisingly more serious than the one Starlight just gave you
  758. “Sure, what is it?”
  759. >”Outside.”
  760. >You give Starlight a quick glance as she stares at the two of you before following Sunset out the door into the hallway
  761. >Sunset leans against the wall while folding her arms over her chest
  762. “Are you OK? You look a little upset.”
  763. >She sighs
  764. >”You’re going to be fighting tonight.”
  765. >You were somewhat expecting to enter the ring, though that doesn’t explain Sunny’s behavior
  766. “Who am I fighting?”
  767. >”Rainbow Dash.”
  768. “Rainbow… Dash?”
  769. >Your jaw slowly drops open as the realization hits you
  770. “I’m fighting the Heavyweight Divas CHAMPION?!”
  771. >Sunset slowly nods her head to you
  772. “b-b-But I’ve only been in the WWE for TWO DAYS! I can’t fight the Champion! I’ll get SLAUGHTERED!!!”
  773. >Your body starts to shake as Sunset wraps her hands around your shoulders
  774. >”It’s not that bad! Rainbow’s still a little messed up from last night when she fought Applejack. She won’t be at her best tonight!”
  775. >Your body continued to quake in her grasp
  776. “w-w-Why is this happening NOW?”
  777. >Sunset looked away briefly before resuming eye contact with you
  778. >”You really caught the attention of the higher ups last night, and they want to see what you can do against a stronger opponent.”
  779. “b-but why the Champion? She’s supposed to be the best!”
  780. >Sunset scoffs at you
  781. >”Supposedly… look Twilight, its not the end of the world if you lose this match, and even then I still think you’ve got a shot against her.”
  782. “r-Really?”
  783. >She smiles at you
  784. >”Of course. Who knows, one day you might end up being the Champion yourself.”
  785. >”Me??”
  786. >Sunset smiles as she nods her head at you
  787. “o-OK, I’ll give it my best shot.”
  788. >You yelp as she surprises you with a hug
  789. >”You’ll do just fine."
  790.
  791.
  792. >You hide your blushing behind your hand as she lets go of you and grins
  793. >Sunset’s always been so supportive of you, you feel that you’re very lucky to have her looking out for you
  794. >There are lots of amazing athletes all around you, but she chose to latch onto you
  795. “Thanks Sunny, you— I mean, IT means a lot to me…”
  796. >She chuckles
  797. >”Don’t mention it Sci.”
  798. >You don’t often get to speak with her one on one like this
  799. >A part of you wishes the two of you could spend more time together, maybe even outside of the WWE
  800. >As you wonder this, a new thought crosses your mind
  801. >This might be the perfect chance to ask for some advice
  802. “So, my match last night… do you think I could have—“
  803. >A loud ringtone of a Church Bell chiming cuts you off as Sunset shoves her hand into her pocket
  804. >”Director of Operations Sunset Shimmer speaking… what? Who’s here?…. WHAT?! No no no no NO! What is Flash doing here tonight?! Oh God, I’m coming over right now just stall him any way you can!”
  805. >Sunset puts a hand over her phone and faces you
  806. >”I’m sorry Sci, I need to go now!”
  807. “w-What’s wrong? It sounds serious.”
  808. >She huffs and scowls
  809. >”Its just my idiot Ex trying to stir up trouble again, we’ll talk later ok. GOOD LUCK TONIGHT!”
  810. >and with that Sunset runs off, yelling into her phone as she runs down the hallway, leaving you alone
  811. >You sigh as you reenter the Concessions room, taking a seat at a table next to Starlight
  812. >She looks up from behind her can of sprite and gives you an odd look
  813. >”Is something wrong?”
  814. “n-No, its nothing… did I miss anything?”
  815. >”Shining Armor just entered the ring.”
  816. “WHAT!?”
  817. >You jerk your head up and stared at the TV screen with wide eyes
  818. “Shiney didn’t tell me he’d be wrestling tonight!”
  819. >”Shiney?”
  820.
  821.
  822. >You watch as Shining Armor walks around the center of the ring with his fists raised high, the crowd roaring and chanting his name all the while as the announcers speak
  823. >Ben Garrisson: If you’re just getting back to us, we are in the middle of witnessing the return of the All-American Knight, Shining Amor. After making a brief appearance last night to cheer on his younger sister, Sci, we will finally get to hear the Slayer of Evil speak out after his several months long sabbatical.
  824. >Drake Bell: Outside of spending time with the future mother of his child, Diva Super Star Cadence, and acting in his upcoming movie, The Marine 5, we haven’t really heard or seen much at all from him.
  825. >B: Well you know Drake, I still think what happened to Shining Armor last Summer was a travesty. That kind of crap that went down at Wrestlemania was utterly disgraceful.
  826. >D: Disgraceful, but technically not against the rules. He did amazing, but he lost fair and square. I bet we’re about to hear his opinions on it right now.
  827. >The ref handed Shining Armor a microphone, which he held up close to his mouth as he gave a quick salute to the crowd with his other hand
  828. >The crowds quieted down as he prepared to speak
  829. >”Last summer at Wrestlemania, I fought my way to the top. I gave it everything I got, I became the All American Knight and slew everyone that stood in my way. Some of my opponents were great men, people I love and respect… and then some…”
  830. >The camera focused closer on Shining as he glared outwards
  831. >… some don’t deserve to even DREAM of calling themselves champions!”
  832. >The crowd bellowed as Shining began to pace about the ring
  833. >D: Look at that determination in his eyes, he looks like he’s ready to tear someone apart!
  834. “Oh God.”
  835. >You shake your head as you look away from the screen
  836.
  837.
  838. >”I beat every challenger that came my way as I rose to the top, showed everyone that I had what it took and at the very end of it all, I held the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BELT in my hands! Then…"
  839. >Shining’s glare grew in intensity as his eyes narrowed at the crowds
  840. "Then that coward showed up, cashed in his Money in the Bank and challenged me not even a minute after I became the Champion. He knew he couldn’t beat me fairly, so he had to fight me when I was tired and injured. You all know EXACTLY who I’m talking about. The man with no honor, with no respect at all for the sport, I’m talking about—“
  841. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R2XZRrZDFo
  842. >D: IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS?
  843. >B: Aw jeez, I’m afraid so.
  844. ‘LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! FLASH SENTRY!’
  845. >A well-built looking man with spiky blue hair walked out onto the stage
  846. >He was shirtless but wore a black leather jacket as well as a pair of black wrestling tights
  847. >He smirks as he hefts the Heavyweight Champion’s Belt over his head, fireworks going off on either side of him
  848. >He strolls down the walkway, ignoring the hands of the fans that are outstretched to him as he quickly makes his way down and hops inside the ring
  849. >He smiles at Shining, who stares daggers at him, as he lifts up a microphone
  850. >”Oh Shiney, come on man. This is embarrassing. When are you just going to accept that you lost to the REAL champion, ME!”
  851. >Shining slowly shakes his head and scowls at Flash as he continues to chuckle
  852. >”You know Shining, you talk a whole lot about right and wrong, like your little code of honor makes a difference here in the ring, but the truth is, when you get right down to it, you’re wrong. All that really holds true is that the weak lose, and the strong win, and last Wrestlemania… you lost TO ME!”
  853. >A chorus of ‘Boo’s echoes throughout the stadium as the two men stare each other down
  854.
  855.
  856.
  857. >”I wouldn’t expect someone like you to understand anything about Honor, but there is one thing you NEED to understand. Next month, when we face each other at Hell in a Cell, there aren’t going to be any tricks or deceptions or lies, and you… you’re going to have nowhere left… SPOILER to RUN.” SPOILER
  858. >The crowd roars in excitement as Flash scowls back at Shining Armor
  859. >Flash chuckles as he raises the mic back up to his mouth
  860. >”You know Shining, you’ve been out of the ring for a while now, and I can’t help but wonder if you have some kind of ulterior motive here. By the way, how’s Cadence been?”
  861. >The crowd falls silent
  862. “Oh God no.”
  863. >Starlight looks at you curiously before staring back at the screen
  864. >Shining’s eyes widen as he silently glares at Flash
  865. >”You know, if I’m not mistaken, Cadence was well on her way to becoming the next Diva’s Champion, before you came along…”
  866. >D: Oh man, don’t go down this road Flash. It ain’t worth it man!
  867. >B: This is low, even for him.
  868. >”It really is too bad, but I guess someone in the family HAS to be the Champ. Can’t be her anymore, not after you knocked her u—“
  869. >Flash is cut off as Shining tosses his mic at Flash’s chest
  870. >Before he can react, Shining’s fist collides with Flash’s face, knocking him flat onto the ground
  871. >B: OH BOY HERE WE GO!
  872. >As Flash rises back up to his feet Shining is already upon him, delivering a series of fierce jabs and punches that push him back into the ring post
  873. >Flash is cornered and can do little else but take Shining’s barrage of ferocious blows
  874. >As Flash falls to the ground, Shining then begins to raise up his boot and stomp down on him, the entire ring shaking from his frenzied assault
  875. >The crowds shout in delight at the carnage he has unleashed, but before anything else can come of it the Ref jumps up into the ring and pulls Shining back
  876. >Flash coughs as he slowly slides out of the ring and staggers away
  877.
  878.
  879. >He raises a hand up to his mouth, and to his intense shock finds that a faint trail of blood is coming from his lips
  880. >”No one makes me bleed my own blood… NO ONE!”
  881. >Flash’s face contorts in rage as he raises a finger up and points at Shining
  882. >”I’ll see you next month at HELL IN A CELL, and YOU are going to wish you stayed in retirement! No one messes with the Champion, DO YOU HEAR ME!?”
  883. >Shining turns his back to Flash, crouching down as his fist collides with the floor
  884. >B: Is he doing what I think he’s doing?
  885. >”You’re going to pay for this! You’re going to have to go home to your wife and your kid and tell them that you couldn’t beat FLASH FREAKIN’ SENTRY!”
  886. >Suddenly Shining bolts up and charges toward Flash, taking to the air with a mighty leap
  887. >Shining Armor soars out of the ring and hurtles toward Flash as his jaw drops
  888. >His fist collides with Flash’s face with the force of a shotgun blast as the two are sent crashing to the ground
  889. >D: A SUPERMAN PUNCH FROM OUT OF THE RING! HOLY CRAP!
  890. >The crowd goes wild, with audience members sitting right outside of the ring banging over the wall in approval as Shining carefully rises back up to his feet and stares down at Flash
  891. >His gaze tilts away from the unconscious wrestler and instead falls upon the Heavyweight Champion’s Belt by his side on the ground
  892. >Picking up the belt, Shining Armor holds it high over his head
  893. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r16NjjDPLlc
  894. >”SLAIN!”
  895. >Dropping the belt back onto Flash’s body, Shining Armor begins to walk back up the runway ramp and out of the arena
  896.
  897.
  898. “Uggghh”
  899. >You turn away from the screen and look down at the floor while holding your hands up to your head
  900. >”Are you ok?”
  901. >Your head jerks back up as you stare at Starlight, having momentarily forgotten that she was here with you
  902. “y-Yeah, perfect…”
  903. >Starlight eyes you closely, her gaze alternating between you and the screen
  904. >”Wait, I remember now. Shining Armor is your brother, correct?”
  905. >You sigh and nod your head
  906. >”Was what Flash trying to say true?”
  907. “m-Maybe a little.”
  908. >You suddenly feel Starlight’s hand fall over your shoulder and look up to see her smiling at you
  909. >”Would you like to talk about it?”
  910. >You had wanted someone to talk about this with for a long time now, but you really had no one to turn to
  911. >Your brother’s recent actions in the ring seemed to confirm a few of your fears, but you had little idea what to do now
  912. >Talking about it with Starlight might help, but it would feel strange to open up to someone you just met
  913. >You barely know much at all about her, aside from the fact that she has some funny beliefs and that she appears to like you for some reason
  914. “Well, its like… Shiney’s always wanted to be the Heavyweight Champion, ever since we were kids. He was always really passionate about it, but I think later on his reasons for wanting it changed.”
  915. >Starlight nodded her head
  916. >”Go on.”
  917. “Like when we were little, he said he wanted to become the Champion so he could be more like our Dad, our father was the Heavyweight champ for a real long time. Then when we found out that he was going to be a father, he kind of became a bit more obsessed with it. It… it honestly kind of worries me.”
  918. >”Have you tried talking to him about it?”
  919. “Yeah, a few times. He calms down about it whenever I tell him I’m getting worried, but it seems like no matter what I say he won’t just let it go.”
  920. >"Do YOU ever dream about becoming a Champion?"
  921. "Me?”
  922.
  923. >Her question caught you off guard
  924. >You only thought of it in passing when others, like Sunset, spoke of it
  925. “NO! I mean, it’d be pretty cool if I… I dunno…”
  926. >You sigh as you let your head fall to the table
  927. “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a nice idea in theory but I honestly doubt I have what it takes.”
  928. >Starlight scowled at you as you peered up at her from the table
  929. >”I don’t think that’s a very healthy mindset to have… your brother was a Champion, albeit very briefly but still! You’re father was a champion too, so why not you?”
  930. “I don’t think I’m quite like my brother or my father.”
  931. >”Would you like to be?”
  932. >You sigh as you lifted your head up and stared at her
  933. “I honestly don’t know what I want. Sometimes I wonder what I’m even doing here…”
  934. >Starlight raises a hand up to her chin as if she was deep in thought
  935. “Sorry, I’m sure you don’t want to—“
  936. >”You lack direction.”
  937. “Excuse me?”
  938. >”If last night was anything to go by, then you can certainly fight. Your technique looked good, and you possess an incredible threshold for pain. You also strike me as a fairly smart girl too, the only thing you don’t have is the drive to succeed.”
  939. >She stood up and raised her fists onto her hips
  940. >”I think I can help. Join me.”
  941. “j-Join you?”
  942. >She adopts a wide smile as she stands over you
  943. >”I can help show you around the ropes, give you the counsel you need to be successful, help you develop the right mindset you need in order to win. Yes, I think you’d be an excellent addition to the Straight Edge Society…”
  944. “Straight Edge Society?”
  945. >You stood up from your seat and raised your hands in front of you
  946. ”I uh, i-i-I don’t think—“
  947. >”Hmmm?”
  948. >Something about the serenity of her smile caused you to take a step back away from her
  949.
  950.
  951. >”Is something wrong Twilight?”
  952. “n-NOPE! Nothing wrong at all! HAHAHA haaaa…”
  953. >The door to the concessions room swung open and an intern wearing a headset peered inside the room
  954. >“Sci! You’re match with Rainbow is about to start!”
  955. >You gulped and turned to face Starlight
  956. “s-Sorry to cut and run. It was really nice talking to you!”
  957. >You shoved the intern aside as you barreled out the door
  958. >You never would have imagined that you’d be rushing so enthusiastically to your fight with Rainbow Dash, but something about Starlight’s change in demeanor sent a chill up your spine
  959. >As you ran down the hallways and toward the stage, you suddenly halted
  960. >Your jaw dropped as your heart raced
  961. “h-How did she know my name was Twilight?”
  962. >Left alone, Starlight walked up to a framed poster that hung from the wall
  963. >The caption ‘Rise Above Cancer’ was proudly displayed on it with a large picture of the current Heavyweight Diva’s Champion Rainbow Dash with her famous #1 fan, known cancer survivor Scootaloo, sitting over her shoulder
  964. ”I haven’t forgotten about you either, Rainbow…”
  965. >Starlight chuckled as she took a step back and clasped her hands together next to her cheek
  966. “Time to go to sleep!”
  967. >Starlight raised her elbow and slammed it into the poster, cracking the glass apart and causing the poster to fall to the floor
  968.
  969.
  970. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ1vSQRyIdA
  971. >You walk out onto the stage as lights, special effects, and your theme music surround you
  972. ‘LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOUR DIVA CHALLENGER, SCI!’
  973. >You shake your head and attempt to shrug off your recent unpleasant encounter with Starlight as you walk down to the ring
  974. >You stroll across the walkway a bit more confidently than last night
  975. >Looking out to either side of you, you see various fans cheering at you
  976. >You awkwardly wave back at a few of them as you step toward the ring
  977. >You’re just about to hop into the ring when something peculiar catches your attention just off to the side
  978. >Just over the ringside wall, a young girl sits atop her father’s shoulders waving an arm at you that has blue stars drawn all over it in imitation of your own star patterned arm
  979. >Your hands fall over your mouth and your knees buckle slightly as the girl chants your name
  980. >Blushing furiously, you walk over to the wall and awkwardly raise your fist up to her
  981. >”YOU’RE SO BADASS!!!”
  982. >Her fist bumps yours hard, hurting your knuckles slightly
  983. “t-Thanks little girl…”
  984. >You step backwards and roll your body inside of the ring
  985. >You take a deep breathe as your theme music dies down, taking a moment to stretch your arms as you wait for—
  986. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imXklSim7no
  987. ‘LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOUR HEAVYWEIGHT DIVA CHAMPION, RAINBOW DASH!'
  988. >You turn your head to the stage as a tall sky blue figure power slides on her knees onto the stage, her long rainbow-colored hair whipping through the air
  989. >She raises her Divas Heavyweight Championship Belt high in the air with one hand while pumping her fist near her chest with the other
  990. >”BRING IT ON!!!!”
  991. >She rises to her feet, a wide and confident grin plastered on her face as she pumps her fist through the air and displays a number of high flying kicks while marching down the runway
  992. >She gives multiple high fives and fist bumps to the audience on her way down
  993.
  994. >You are a bit floored by the sheer volume of the crowd’s enthusiasm as Dash confidently bounces over to the ring
  995. >She looks like she’s having way too much fun with this as she smiles and continues to engage the crowd around her
  996. >Just when you think she is about to finally enter the ring, she begins to walk around the outside perimeter of the wall, riling up her fans all the while as she pumps her fist in the air
  997. >She stops right before one particularly enthusiastic fan, a young girl with orange skin and a short tuft of purple hair
  998. >She gives the young girl a hug before hopping over the wall
  999. >You stroll up to the ropes and stare down at her, seeing that she has has just finished affixing the belt to the young girl’s waist
1000. >Rainbow ruffles her hair before hopping over the wall and sprinting onto the ring
1001. >She powerslides past you on her knees before rising to her feet and giving you a confident grin
1002. >The crowds around you seem to have been infected by her energy, but this constant display of confidence has done little more than left you feeling intimidated
1003. >You feel like a lamb being tossed over to a lion
  1004. >”YO SCI!”
1005. >You can make her out a bit more clearly now that she’s up close
1006. >She wears a Denim vest around a muscle shirt with the words ‘Rise Above Cancer’ on it, as well as tight jeans
1007. >You can see that she has quite a bit of muscle on her arms and legs, as well as a very toned body in general
1008. >”Your fight yesterday was pretty nuts girl!”
  1009. “t-t-Thanks…”
1010. >Her brow furrows slightly as she continues to grin at you
1011. >”Don’t expect to me go easy on you just cause its your second day though. I’m no Trixie, and I DON’T need any tricks up my sleeve to beat you!”
1012. >She flexes her muscles as she whips her hair through the air
  1013. >”OH YEAH!”
  1014. “Oh God…"
  1015.
1016. >You sigh and turn your head away right as the bell rings
1017. >This unfortunately leaves you open for Rainbow’s lariat
1018. >She charges directly at you and knocks you to the ground, the ring floor reverberating as you slam into it
1019. >B: Oooh! Sci was NOT ready for that one.
1020. >D: Rainbow Dash’s speed and reflexes are legendary Ben, Sci can’t afford to let her guard down for one second.
  1021. >”OH HELL YEAH!”
1022. >You lift you head up and blow a strand of hair from out of your face
  1023. “Oh HELL no.”
1024. >You rise back up to your feet only for Rainbow to charge you again with another lariat
1025. >Your eyes clench shut in pain as you slam to the ground
1026. >While lying there, you feel the ground begin to shake and instinctively you feel danger blitzing toward you
  1027. “AHHHH!”
1028. >You roll to the side just as Rainbow’s elbow crashes to the ground where you were lying only a moment before
1029. >You rise up slowly as you see Rainbow clamber to her feet, her hand caressing her elbow
1030. “I am NOT getting slapped around two nights in a row!"
1031. >You slap yourself in the face as you begin to rile yourself up
1032. >Your body is still a bit sore from the brutal beating that Trixie gave you last night
1033. >You decide then and there that you have no intention of being humiliated like that again, not even at the hands of the Champion
1034. >Rainbow shakes her head, grabs it with both of her hands, and audibly cracks it to the side before malevolently smiling at you
1035. >”Then show me what ya got!
1036. >The two of you sprint for each other and collide near the center of the ring
1037. >Rainbow hits you harder than you expected, and as soon as you two grapple with each other she begins to pummel into you with a series of lightning punches aimed at your abdomen
1038. >You groan in pain as you raise up your own fist and begin to similarly swipe at her, the two of you locked into a gridlocked fist fight
  1039.
1040. >B: These two look evenly matched, its amazing that Sci can fight so well after the rough victory she won last night
1041. >D: Don’t count out my girl RD! Applejack put her through HELL last night, but she’s still as fast and determined as ever! She even looks like she’s starting to enjoy the pain!
1042. >The two of you continue to smack each other back and forth
1043. >A searing pain is beginning to grip your side as Rainbow continues to punch you, yet you are miraculously finding the strength to continue punching back
1044. >Then suddenly the pain in your side ceases
1045. >You blink in surprise as your own punches lose a bit of their fierceness, only to find that Rainbow as slipped out of your grasp
1046. >She latches onto your arm with your last punch and, shifting her body weight onto you, slams you into the mat
1047. >You fall headfirst to the ground, your senses becoming dulled by the impact
1048. >As you regain your wits, you suddenly become aware of the intense pain your arm is in as Rainbow twists it
  1049. “AHHHHHHHH!!”
1050. >You feel as if your arm is about to pop out of its socket
1051. >You grit your teeth as your eyes begin to water
1052. >When you look up you see that the Ref is on the ground next to you, watching to see if you’ll forfeit
  1053. >You snarl at him
  1054. “GET AWAY FROM ME!”
1055. >The ref jumps up to his feet and backs off
  1056. >D: Dayuum!
1057. >You blink in surprise, temporarily forgetting the pain as you wonder if that was really you just now
1058. >This brief moment of clarity gives you the mental strength needed to slowly rise back up
1059. >You crawl first to your knees, and then after another ten seconds you are able to get back on your feet
1060. >Once this happens, Rainbow twirls you around by your arm and tosses you away
1061. >You are thrown against the ropes, relief washing over you as your arms flies free
  1062.
  1063.
1064. >Not a moment later and you see Rainbow charging for you again
1065. >Grappling onto the ropes, you lift your body up and kick Rainbow back to the floor, giving you a moment to loosen up your arm
1066. >Rainbow forces herself back to her feet, but staggers slightly to the side as she glares at you
1067. >B: It looks like fatigue is setting in for Rainbow already
1068. >D: Sci’s looking a little rough around the edges herself
1069. >You shake your head and shove yourself off of the ropes, charging Rainbow with a clothesline punch
1070. >Just as you were about to close the distance to her, Rainbow screams out and raises her leg
1071. >A blue blur flashes in your vision as a vicious kick strikes you in your face
1072. >Your eyes wrench open in shock as you twirl about and fall to your knees, stars dancing around you as you aimlessly stare forward
1073. >You suddenly realize you are staring at the little girl you met earlier
1074. >She appears to be mouthing ‘BEHIND YOU'
  1075. “Wha-?”
1076. >You feel your breathe escape you as Rainbow’s forearms latch around your throat
1077. >To your horror, you realize that she has put you into a sleeper hold
1078. >You sputter and cough as you struggle against her weight
1079. >After a few moments of this, you feel your vision begin to darken
1080. >D: This looks like it could be it!
1081. >Your head begins to shake back and forth as you bite your tongue, the pain forcing you to keep your eyes open for the time being
1082. >B: No look! She’s standing back up!
1083. >You push yourself to your feet as Rainbow continues to hold you in a sleeper hold, her feet dangling out of the air behind you
1084. >Sneering, you buck back your head and strike her in the face
1085. >As you regain a single breath of air, you find the energy to move once again
1086. >You capitalize on this by rushing backwards into the goalpost, smashing Rainbow against it and freeing you from her grasp
  1087.
  1088.
1089. >You huff and puff as you fall to your knees again, taking advantage of the lull in your fight to do little more than regain your breath
1090. >Even though the fight hasn’t been going on for too long, you feel fairly winded already
1091. >Rainbow definitely employs a lot more technical moves than Trixie, and she’s very quick on her feet
1092. >That damn kick was also really bad
1093. >You’re fairly certain that was some kind of mixed martial arts move
1094. >As you stare at the ground you feel the floor begin to vibrate
1095. >Every few seconds it suddenly shakes violently
1096. >You look up at Rainbow to see her grabbing onto the ropes, crashing the floor with her foot while staring fiercely at you
  1097. >”GET!”
  1098. *CRASH!*
  1099. >”UP!”
  1100. *CRASH*
  1101. >”AND!”
  1102. *CRASH*
  1103. >”FIGHT!”
  1104. *CRASH*
  1105. >Your jaw falls open
  1106. >You can’t believe this girl
1107. >This is supposed to be her after a tough night?
1108. >You slowly rise back up and stare at her
1109. >She smiles maliciously and charges you again
1110. >However, she’s not moving quite as fast as she was a few minutes earlier
1111. >She takes to the air and delivers a dropkick
1112. >You see it coming, almost as if it were happening in slow motion
  1113. “ah!”
1114. >You grab her foot as the kick comes and drop her to the floor, raising her leg up and pinning her to the ground
1115. >The ref rushes to the ground and begins the count
  1116. ‘1! 2!’
1117. >Rainbow kicks out just as the ref hits ‘2’, forcing you off of her
  1118.
  1119.
  1120. “ARGH!”
1121. >You slam your fist onto the ground as Rainbow rolls away from you
  1122. >”Hey! What gives?!”
  1123. “Huh?”
1124. >Rainbow hangs off of the ropes several feet away from you as she stares back
1125. >”You want to end the fight already? We just started!”
1126. >Your body begins to shake in anger as you scowl at her
  1127. >”Aren’t you having fun?”
  1128. “Having fun? HAVING FUN?!”
  1129. >Rainbow chuckles at you
1130. >”Yeah, I’m having a great time! Your endurance is almost as good as Applejack’s! You’re pretty cool!”
  1131. “YOU PIECE OF… what?”
1132. >You gawked at her as you forced yourself up to your feet
1133. >”I just thought I’d be tossing around some rookie for a few minutes, but you’re actually GOOD!”
  1134. >Rainbow Dash thinks you’re actually a good wrestler?
  1135. >She actually likes you?
1136. >You’ve been going through this whole fight being somewhat terrified of her
1137. >That and maybe a little put off by her blatant arrogance
1138. >To hear her shower genuine praise on you now is making you feel a lot of mixed emotions that your punch-drunk mind can’t really process very well
1139. >The two of you stagger closer to each other as wise words from earlier echoes through your mind
1140. >'The best advice I can ever give you is to just have fun.’
1141. >Maybe Starlight was right, maybe all you really had to do was enjoy yourself and everything would fall into place
1142. >That seemed to be working out for Rainbow, and she’s the Champion
1143. >”Hey—y-You ready to go again!”
1144. >Now that you notice it, she seems to be having trouble breathing as well
1145. >She’s smiling pretty hard though, and like her enthusiasm, it is quite infectious
1146. >You grin back at her, nodding your head
  1147. “Let’s go!”
  1148.
1149. >The two of you charge at each other as fast as you can
1150. >You and Rainbow lurch back and slam each other in the face with equally devastating Haymaker Punches
1151. >You feel your teeth rattle as you are forced a step back, but the pain isn’t quite so terrible as you would have imagined
1152. >You quickly step forward once more and deliver a right hook to Rainbow’s side, sending her reeling back slightly
1153. >She quickly counters with an uppercut with her left hand that causes you to indadvertedly spit up in the air
1154. >You respond with a jab to her chin, to which she returns with a harsh slap to your cheek
1155. >As this brutal fistfight continues, you begin to vaguely hear a chant forming amongst the crowds
1156. >As you are sent staggering backwards from another quick punch, you start to make out exactly what they’re cheering
1157. >’THIS IS AWESOME! *beat* THIS IS AWESOME! *beat* THIS IS AWESOME!’
1158. “They *hack* really love this.”
  1159. >”HA! This IS awesome!”
1160. >You find yourself smiling back at her but not for long
1161. >You see her wind her body back as she clenches her fists by her sides
  1162. “Oh SHI-“
1163. >You jerk your head back and just narrowly avoid another kick as the blur of her boot zooms past you
1164. >Not wasting a second more, you charge her again and tackle her into the corner post
1165. >You throw a series of quick and sloppy punches into her gut, and this time she’s not able to counter with much of anything at all
1166. >B: She’s tearing her apart! Look at Sci go!
1167. >You keep the onslaught up as much as you can until the ref marches up to you and begins yelling at you to lay off of her
1168. >You throw in two more punches before breaking off and running back
1169. >You see she still hasn’t budged from the post at all
1170. >You grin as you rush at her
1171. >Hopping through the air, you raise up your elbow for a downward strike
1172. >Unforunately for you, she ducks to the side just before you land
1173. >Your elbow loudly clangs against the post, as you shout in pain and drop down
  1174.
1175. >B: Wow, we could hear that from down here folks!
1176. >D: I think they could hear that up in the nosebleed sections.
1177. >As you slouch over and grip your elbow, Rainbow charges at you again
1178. >Hefting her arms around you, you find yourself suddenly being raised up in the air just above her shoulders
1179. >Just as you begin to frantically kick and slap at her, she slams you down onto your back
1180. >The wind gets knocked out of you as you feel your leg get raised up into the air
  1181. >”1! 2! thr-“
1182. >You kick out at the last second and roll over to your side
1183. >”You gotta be kidding me!”
1184. >You lift up your head and see Rainbow breathing intensely as she hits the ground with her fist
  1185. >You chuckle
  1186. “Not having… fun anymore?”
1187. >Her eyes briefly widen before she beams at you
  1188. >”Of course I am, but the thing is… I never lose.”
1189. “Yeah, well I… Never give up!”
1190. >She snorts as she rises up to her feet
  1191. >”I’ve noticed.”
1192. >She drops down onto you with an elbow strike, flattening you against the mat
1193. >She bounces up again as you try to push yourself away only to fall on you with another elbow strike more devastating than the last
1194. >You flinch in pain as she stands up again
1195. >You have a pretty good idea what’s coming next, so you roll to the side and fall out of the ring just as Rainbow’s elbow collides with the space where you were only a moment before
1196. >You breathe heavily as you rise up to your feet, clutching your chest
  1197. >B: Hold the phone, what’s Rainbow—?”
  1198. >”AHHHHHH!”
1199. >You turn around toward the ring just in time to see Rainbow leaping face first between the ropes
1200. >Her body crashes against yours and the two of you barrel back against the ringside wall
  1201. >B: She went AIRBORNE!
1202. >D: Hahaha that’s exactly where you DON’T want Rainbow to be when fighting her!
1203. >You collapse to the ground with your back against the wall, your entire body aching in pain
1204. >You glance down at Rainbow who lies on her back next to you, her eyes clenched shut
  1205.
  1206.
1207. >As you both lie there, the Ref bends over the ropes and begins to count down
  1208. >”1!… 2!… 3!…”
1209. >You and Rainbow stare at one another as he counts down
1210. >You attempt to push yourself back to the feet, but you simply can’t find the strength
1211. >You see Rainbow attempt to rock herself up as well, tossing and turning on the ground like a tortoise stuck on its back
1212. >While you work hard to pull yourself up, you suddenly stop and realize that if the ref counts down to 10 while you’re both out of the ring then the match will end in a draw
1213. >Neither of you will win, but neither of you will lose either
1214. >In a way, you can walk away saying you gave it pretty much you’re all without any shame
1215. >Knowing this seems to sap the adrenaline from your body, and as you look down at Rainbow you start to think that she might have come to the same realization
1216. >She looks up at you and gives you a tired smile
  1217. >”Count… yourself… lucky…”
1218. >You smile back down at her as you lean your head against the wall
1219. >B: This looks like it could be it!
1220. >D: What an ending. These two athletes are amazing! Just think how much ass they could have both kicked if they were in top form!
  1221. >”8!…. 9!…. t—“

  1223. >D: WHAT THE—
1224. >The incredibly loud music booms throughout the stadium as you see flashing lights and a great deal of fire flashing from what looks to be the stage
1225. >You can’t see the stage clearly from where you are sitting, but when you look down you see Rainbow’s cool demeanor transform into a look of pure rage
  1226. “Who’s—?“
1227. >As you look up to the ring you see a familiar purple figure adorned with tattoos rise up above you
  1228. “Starlight?!”
  1229.
  1230.
1231. >The ref runs up to Starlight and stands between her and the two of you as he begins to yell at her
1232. >Your jaw drops when you see Starlight grab the ref by his head, and slam his face down into her raised knee
  1233. “OH MY GOD!”
1234. >The ref falls to the floor as Starlight clambers up on top of the ropes
  1235. >”Hi Dashie!”
1236. >Bouncing off of the edge, Starlight tackles down onto Rainbow Dash , her eyes widening in shock and her mouth wrenching open as if she were screaming, yet little more than a whimper escaped her mouth
1237. >Bouncing up to her feet, Starlight then grabbed you by the hand and picked you up
  1238. “w-w-What the fu—“
1239. >”No need to thank me Sci, this was my pleasure~”
1240. >You recoil as she grapples onto you, afraid that you were next on this insane girl’s hit list
1241. >She does end up tossing you as you expected, except not WHERE you had expected
1242. >Hefting her body back, she tosses you into the ring as your body gracelessly fumbles inside next to the downed ref
1243. >You struggle through the pain to bring yourself back to your feet
1244. >At this point, your vision is beginning to blur as you struggle to look back at Starlight
1245. >Its difficult to make out, but she appears to be stomping her foot on the ground outside the ring
1246. >B: and here I thought the bad blood between Starlight and Rainbow had finally ended, that psycho just won’t let her be!
1247. >D: I can’t watch this man, not Rainbow. Screw this, I gotta help her!
1248. >B: DRAKE NO! Sit your ass back down! She’ll kill you like a small puppy!
1249. >You glance to your right over to the announcers' stand and watch as a tall man wearing sunglasses and a cowboy hat wrestles a boy about your age to the ground
1250. >When you glance back you see Starlight holding Rainbow’s limp body up above her shoulders
1251. >She gives you a wicked grin as she tosses Rainbow back into the ring, her body falling at your feet
  1252.
1253. >”Go ahead Sci, finish her!”
1254. >You struggle to stand as you stare down at Rainbow
1255. >Your knees shake out of fear as well as exhaustion
1256. >The roaring of the crowds muddles your mind as you try to make sense of it all
1257. >You can’t tell whether they are telling you to go for it or not
  1258. “This—THIS CAN’T BE LEGAL! i-I can’t!”
1259. >Starlight hops inside the ring
1260. >You want to run away from her, get out of here as fast as you can, but you’re too afraid of what she might do to you if she catches you, or what she might do to Rainbow if you leave her here
1261. >You flinch as Starlight walks up to you and stands before you with a calm smile
  1262. >”What’s wrong?”
1263. “w-Why are you doing this?”
1264. >Her smile darkens as she looks down at Rainbow Dash
1265. >”Rainbow was always trying to prove that she was the best, that she had the edge but now look at her. She rejected my path to glory and arrogantly engaged in a hedonistic lifestyle, encouraging the WWE Universe to follow in her footsteps. The WWE deserves better… THE FANS…”
1266. >She points out at the audience, who ‘boo' loudly at her
1267. >”Deserve better! It should be one of us wearing that belt, not this clown writhing on the ground or her childish hanger-ons over there!”
1268. >Starlight pointed over at the orange child who Rainbow had given the Diva Champion’s belt
1269. >Your vision was still a bit blurred, but you were fairly certain you could see her raising two middle fingers at Starlight
1270. “i-Why are you doing this? I thought you just said this was all about having fun!”
  1271. >Starlight laughed at you
1272. >”Sci, I’m having the time of my life right now. Not only am I about to claim revenge against my most hated rival, but I also get to welcome a NEW friend into my Straight Edge Society!”
1273. >She places a less than comforting hand over your shoulder as she grins at you
1274. >”What do you say Sci?”
  1275.
1276. >You stare back at Starlight, and then glance down at Rainbow who gazes upwards through half-lidded eyes
  1277. >What do you do?
1278. >You feel like a stiff breeze could kick your ass right now
1279. >What would Shining do in a circumstance like this?
1280. >What would your father do right now?
  1281. >”Well?…”
1282. >You lift your head up and stare at her unblinkingly as you raise a hand up to your face
1283. >You shake your hand back and forth as Starlight scowls at you
  1284. >”I don’t follow… what exactly are you—?"
  1285. SPOILER “U CAN’T C ME!” SPOILER
1286. >With every last ounce of your strength, you slam your head into her face and collapse forward onto the ground next to Rainbow Dash
  1287. >”GAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!”
  1288. >B: SUPERB!
1289. >You chuckle as you hear the crowds roar in approval
  1290. “Hey Rainbow… are you still there…”
  1291. >”…Yup…”
  1292. “s-Sorry about this…”
  1293. >”S’cool…”
  1294. “No but really, I’m…”
1295. >”I said its cool Sci. Don’t worry about it… I think I’m going to get my second wind in another 10 minutes or so, wake me up then so I can thrash this freak.”
  1296. “uhhhhh alright?”
  1297. >”Sweet, good night.”
1298. >Her head falls to her side as her tongue rolls out of her mouth
1299. >You then see an ominous shadow fall over both of you
1300. “I don’t think we have ten minutes Rainbow… Rainbow Dash?”
1301. >You feel your nearly lifeless body rise off the ground as Starlight lifts you up over her shoulders
  1302. >”Any last words Sci?”
1303. >You think about it for only a few short seconds as you lick your lips
1304. >Its all the time you needed
  1305. “Sprite sucks.”
  1306.
1307. >You shut your eyes as you welcome the dreary prospect of death at the hands of this psychotic bitch
