- A score system to judge music, by MadTheMad
- * The score is resumed in a final number ranging from 0 to 10 including.
- * Decimal points can be used, extending the range to the 100 unique values.
- * 0, the lowest score, means that I did not enjoy one single aspect in the album, an album so vile sounding that I could not find one positive aspect.
- * 1, A very weak record in all fronts, it still shows that the artist(s) tried, but the end result fell completely flat, it's still music, it's still something that maybe could have been, but alas it wasn't.
- * 2, A terrible record in most fronts or sometimes, some aspect of the album is catastrophically bad that it drags everything with it. It has happened before, either absolutely horrible singing or dumb production values.
- * 3, A bad album, the music is just plain bad, weak. The production might be amazing and performances are great, but the music is incredibly derivative and pointless. Or vice-versa...
- * 4, A special score, it's reserved for disappointing albums, albums that created a reasonable expectation and completely failed to deliver it.
- * 5, An average album, not that enjoyable, not that boring, not that weak, it's alright, but I won't be returning to it.
- * 6, A good album, it's good, the music is good and performances are decent enough, but is it good enough...?
- * 7, A very good album, things start to get good from this point and upwards, the music is enjoyable and everything sounds really good, but it doesn't break new ground, it's good but not that original.
- * 8, A great record, the music is either insanely good but very firmed in its roots, or really good and gives something original, it brings something new to the table.
- * 9, Amazing albums, everything is just damn enjoyable, it's a pleasure to listen through the songs and there's very little changes that I would make to them. Somehow or someway, it's not quite perfect, something is missing in them...
- * 10, the highest score, it does not mean it is a perfect sounding album in any way, it means that I would not change one single note in the album, there is not one aspect/moment in the record that I would change or remove, and there is nothing that I wish to be added to it. These are very special albums, albums that I treasure very deeply and have listened to an insane amount of times. I very rarely give tens. The most recent album I gave a ten to was from 2012.
