  1. The year is 2070. The world, battered. A new Black Plague has spread across the land, sowing insanity and death wherever it went. Civilization has either deteriorated or disappeared in most countries. Isolated areas, such as the Americas, Oceania, and some areas of Southeast Asia are mostly undamaged due to their separation from the afflicted areas. Europe, Asia, and Africa, however, are majorly damaged. Many formerly-great countries are now naught but bandit-infested lands, squabbling over what little glory remained. Most nations that have not been utterly ruined have been transformed into shells of what they had been, forced to struggle to keep what little civilization they have left. However, destruction does not simply bring ruin; it also cleans the slate, creates new hope for rebirth. Some areas have been able to recover from the disease and start rebuilding. Major countries, such as the United Kingdom, France, Russia, though often changed in many ways, still remain independent and relatively stable. Others have formed coalitions, working together to better all countries involved. Through hard work and determination, many countries are now on the slow but sure path to renewal.

  3. Sadly, this is not the case with Central Europe.

  5. While indeed rebirth has happened in this area, it is not necessarily for the better. Fueled by the desire for greatness, new radical factions have risen up and taken power. In Berlin, a fascist regime commonly called the Fourth Reich rules with an iron fist and promotes its Aryan-supremacist ideology, while in Kiev, the Order of a Great Future uses technology to stamp down on individual freedoms for the good of the collective whole. These two giants control almost all of Central Europe, and many are afraid of opposing either. Two capitalist coalitions, one made up of Franco-Dutch countries and the other of Baltic countries, are some of the few that directly oppose these juggernauts, but ultimately, their efforts do little but annoy the great powers. However, amidst all of this chaos, a fifth nation has formed: Deutschland of the Iron Cross, more simply known as Prussia. Consisting of what was once the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, a decent part of northeastern Poland, and bits and pieces of Lithuania and Belarus, this small area is a rather odd mix. Its government has fascist, socialist, and democratic parts, and its military is similarly diverse; it contains soldiers of all kinds, ranging from conscripts and “reformed” bandits to professional mercenaries and defectors from larger nations. Though small and bordered by both of the aforementioned great powers, this country is fierce and determined on protecting its independence.
  6. This is its story.
