  39. AoE damage centered on you, and applies a 10s damage down debuff on all targets affected. The more damage
  40. you take during the buff, the more damage you inflict, and the buff will explode instantly upon reaching
  41. 300 potency. Counts damage before any reductions, so using defensive cooldowns does not affect total damage.

  59. These changes aim to make the job both more fun to play and make it more useful by providing stuff that the other tanks can't already. It's not strictly about increasing its dps (although it gains a few touches to help a little bit in that regard, particularly AoE damage) but more to provide proper support abilities that are actually useful for people who might need some extra help to survive more difficult fights. It's also been made a little bit more fun to level with off-gcd abilities and a second proper combo coming much earlier, and the new abilities it gets at 60 lets it play nice with other casters by helping restore MP or save raids from potential wipes with a well-timed resurrection or Divine Veil.

  62. Either part of the new common cross-class skill pool that people think are coming in Stormblood or some other job gets it and it's now a cross-class skill for GLA/PLD. It's not like marauders have ever given any real useful abilities in return for all the shit gladiators give to them anyway. Ideally cross-class skills (assuming the entire system doesn't get replaced) should be balanced out so all three jobs get roughly the same amount of useful abilities to choose between from each other but this is about fixing PLD specifically so that's beyond the scope of this rework.

  65. Now an inherent part of Bulwark, which only PLDs can use. Since only PLDs have critical hit nullification now, this can make people consider picking it over other jobs in fights that have guaranteed crits. (But you can still pick other tanks for more dps if you want, making it a risk-reward play as it should be.)
