Special Containment Procedures: SCP - XXXX is to be contained in a 1 x 6 x 1 ft  container constructed of carbon fiber composites. A mesh of dirt as well as grass should be laid throughout the area of the containment, acting as a mimic to the plants environment and habitat. A lid is to be securely fastened on the containment at all times but with slight air pockets to ensure the plants air level is normal. Dimmed lights should be modified to fit the specified containment and are to be kept on in the chamber about 10 - 12 hours a day. The thermostat temperature is to be set to approx. 55-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Anybody caught tampering with this device is to be sentenced to authorized (Class - A) personnel temporarily.

The containment is to be monitored at seldom, but necessary if frequent changes begin to occur from the plant and/or its enclosure. The subject should always be viewed or studied from outside the containment. In the event of the containment shutting down or the necessary needs to open it, personnel must take extreme cautions to avoid direct visual and/or stay out of reach of the plants grasp until re - chambered.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of a perennial evergreen and a hostile bamboo type that appears to subject some very odd characteristics. The organism appears to express many of the same physical traits as normal bamboo. Although fully matured, it is a mere 5.5 feet in height. This specific specimen was located in Southeast Asia by Dr.██████ about ██ years ago. When found, it appeared that all plants located within its radius had been anomalously malformed and out of place.

After countless studies, this specimen appears to be able to grow abnormal stem - like beings from the base and the peak of the stocked plant. The stems appear to be similar to a normal bamboo plant but with highly flexible properties. These strange growths remain almost completely static when personnel have been found circuiting the perimeter of the containment cell. When interacted with, these limbs have been proven to target any entity within its reach, but only if the plant is in that said entities peripheral view. When the stocks are able to firmly grab hold of their victim, they continue to increase in size until their entire sufferer is constricted.

This bamboos aggression is based almost entirely on viewpoint. Physical, living entities facing a direct prospect of the plant are likely to succumb to an attack in a matter of seconds. While a less direct notion will result in a much calmer and slower attack.

For Living entities containing a sort of body makeup, these quaint stems seem to react a bit differently for unknown reasons. When within striking distance, the stocks still interact with the proximate being that is facing them but instead, target three main joints, The knees, elbows, or neck. Once grappled, the branches slowly strangle these areas until fought off. Many subjects survive the trauma, but with intense cases of unfamiliar joint disorders that cause muscle and tissue deterioration overtime and can render sensitive joints permanently futile. Attempts to exterminate this limb growth has shown of constant failure as well. Although the stems are prone to physical damage, they are able to re grow themselves within hours or even minutes time.

SCP - XXXX can also store its water and nutrients under small moist air pockets located around the midst of the stock, this nutrients is constantly collected from the soil. This can be done for up to 3 years, Meaning, if the specimen were to exhaust its supply of nutrition it could automatically replenish often, assuming the plant is alive and firmly planted in the containment 24/7.

It has been proven that SCP - XXXX is indeed not singular. There could easily be hundreds of individual specimens currently alive and active in the environment. Because of this, the collective specimen must be monitored vigorously by the foundation scientists to get a tight grasp on the ecology of this extremely perilous bamboo genus.




Addendum - SPC - XXX - Victimized : Victims suffering an attack from SCP - XXXX are known as SCP - XXXX - 1A, 2A etc. To the foundations knowledge, there have been about ██ human attacks from SCP - XXXX and only ██ of them have proven fatal. Subjects attacked from this bamboo have also suffered seizures and/or heart attacks at random. They have said that they have still felt SCP - XXXX suffocating parts of their limbs and the body has responded to it. Not much is known about this strange mental state but further research is being provided.
