Kaorin Sakura:
When we last left Team Oak, the group was locked in a heavy and intense battle against wild Bug type Pokémon! There was dust of all sorts floating around and messing with the team's condition! Welcome to the World of Pokémon!

Ramora whispers: don't forget enhanced training. It'll help even if divided into 3 since both of them never battled... level 1 and level 5....

Venec:

Kia watches and holds out the pokeball having never traded before.

Somewhere, behind the fourth wall, Jupiter was snickering.

Kia:
Kia goes over and attempts a search
You whisper to Ramora: no. Unless you gave them a ball in return. Parasect is locked in the ball it was caught in.

Narrator :

Kia picks up a root that looks fossilized and a tm. "How nifty."

Narrator :
The ball Parasect was in vanishes in a rainbow beam of light once registered with Ramora.

Venec:
"What's the TM?"
Ramora whispers: how we using tms?
You whisper to Ramora: same we were in the beginning in this one.
Ramora whispers: hold it to the sides of their heads?

Narrator :
Yes.
You whisper to Ramora: yes.

Kia:
"it is thunderbolt. I also have Facade, Thief, and Aerial Ace if anyone wants to use them." As Kia spoke she was placing the items in her bag.
DNA:
Jupiter started waving his hands really fast.
DNA:
Er, magnets. The mention of "Thunderbolt" made him very enthusiastic.

Kia:
Kia chuckles and uses the tm on the creature. However that works.

Kia:
Or she gives it to Cepheus to use.

Ramora:
Kneels beside charmander and holds a tm to the side of his head. "Hold still little buddy. This shouldn't hurt to much."

Venec:
"Thunderbolt eh?" Venec chuckled, "I think quite a few fire types can learn that one. Good water counter."

Narrator :
The information from the TM is transmitted into the Charmander's head, enlightening it with new knowledge.

Ramora:
"There ya go." Stands up and puts the tm away. "that should help next time your in combat."
DNA:
Cepheus then graciously accepts the disk, then uses its powers on Jupiter before handing it back to Kia.

Venec:
"Lets see if it works over here." He looked to Nike, "Want to learn to shoot things with lightning?

Kia:
Kia hands the tm to Venec.

Venec:
Assuming no protest from Nike, Venec uses it to teach the Victini Thunderbolt.
DNA:
Cepheus then gets out his Psyshock TM which he'd acquired earlier. He walked over to Venec; "Perhaps Nike might be able to make use of this as well."

Venec:
"What is it?"
Narrator :
Nike does not refuse.
DNA:
"Psyshock."
Kia:
Kia also lays the thunderbolt tm on Lala. "This could prove useful. Thanks for everything today Lala." She then turns towards Ramora. "Would bolt like to use this?"
Narrator :
Everyone should be centered on the Viridian Forest map now.
Venec:
"Heh, sorry but no thank you." Venec flexes an arm, "I'ma fighter. Psychic move leave a bad taste in my mouth."
Ramora:
"Sure if that's alright.
Narrator :
Nike frowns at the refusal.
DNA:
"Even on something like that victini?"
Ramora:
Sends out bolt.
Kia:
Kia smiles. "Of course. and any other pokemon tha you'd like."
Venec:
"Do you want to Nike? I won't stop you." Venec smiled assuringly.
Kia:
She hands the tm over.
Narrator :
Nike nods, flexing her arms similar with a faint glow of power behind her motion.
Ramora:
"Anyone wanna use this Flame Charge tm?"
Narrator :
Blaze looks up at the notice of Flame.
Venec:
Venec nodded, "Well it looks like she wants it. Go right ahead."
DNA:
"None of my team can utilize it..."
Ramora:
"I already used it on you." Kneels beside bolt and Holds the tm up to his head.
Narrator :
Bolt readily accepts the new-found knowledge and sparks with its new powers in eagerness.
Ramora:
Pet's bolt and smiles. "Good boy." Stands and gives the tm back to Kia.
Ramora:

Kia looks over at Cepheus and Venec as they use psyshock. "Can I use that on lala when you two are done?"
Narrator :
Nike appreciates the new knowledge.
DNA:
"Is it even compatible? From what I remember, this works only on Psychic-types...plus a few possible others like Vulpix."
Kia:
Kia nods and smiles back at Ramora. "You can use any of my tms anytime."
Kia:
"Lala can learn it...she can learn a little bit of everything actually. "
DNA:
"In that case, I will not stop you." He lent her the disk. "Go ahead."
Kia:
She sheepishly smiles down at the pink pokemon.
Kia:
Kia touches Lala with the tm. "There you go..Thanks Cepheus!" Once done she hands it back to Cepheus.

Venec:
"Hm. Well now that we know what we're all up against... Do we want to go back and resupply on human-status healing items or should we tough it out through the woods."
Narrator :
Lala is slightly woozy for a moment but returns to her smiling expression.
Ramora:
"How often can Lala burst that move that healed me?
Kia:
"Once every hour I think..."
DNA:
"If possible I think we should tough it out. However, Danny isn't feeling too well so if we're going to go through here, we'd best make it quick."

Venec:
"We're in the valley of the viridian forest. I don't think this area knows the meaning of the word quick." It was unusual for Venec to be the one to agrue for caution, but he knew what woods could do to people.
Ramora:
"We can make it, but it's up to you guys."
DNA:
"Then, let's go as quick as is conceivably possible."

Venec:
Venec nodded, "NIke, return for now. We're going to let someone else have a turn while Cherry is out," Venec said, not knowing the charmander's new name.

Venec:
Venec returns his Victini and sends out his Mienfoo, Rhea.
Kia:
Kia looks thoughtful and returns lala sending out Artemis.
Ramora:
Returns Bolt to the pokeball. "So Who is Charmander following?"

Venec:
"Well Rhea, Pewter city has a black gym and while there will be some curveballs I'd bank on them having at least a few dark types, so we're going to need to teach you some Fighting type moves to prepare. You and I are going to be training hard for a while, you're going to be putting that regeneration of yours to work."
Narrator :

DNA:
"Which way should we head off first? The longer we wait, the worse our odds get."

Kia looks nervously around and pets Artemis as she waits for the other's to decide which way to go.

"I'm usually farther westward before I enter the forest, I try to avoid the valley," he said, "It gets dangerous. Oh! Also remember that there is that killer Joltik around somewhere."
Ramora:
"Hey Venec. If your going for badges, why don't we train together? I have a lot to learn about pokemon still but I'm thinking maybe I can help you get stronger and you can help me get smarter."

"Hm?" Venec turned to Ramora, "Oh, sure! My goal is the pokemon league champion! I

Venec:

DNA:
"Right, that Joltik. ...Should we start by heading west?"
Ramora:
"Still, your closer to your goal then I am right now. Your awesome."

Venec:
"Ramora's got the tourch, he's the choicemaker as far as I'm concerned. I'll stand in front, I know I Can Take a Hit."
Ramora:
"I'll bring up the rear and charmander can follow Venec."

Venec:
Venec chuckled and sheepishly scratched the back of his head, he didn't really know how to take praise so suddenly. "Well west is the best idea I've heard yet."

"As far as choices. I'm new here so I'm prepared to follow you guys."
Kia:
Kia nodded in agreement with the other's. "We can go after Charmander...We will make sure to keep her safe for you Ramora."
DNA:

Cepheus instinctively lashed out with a relatiatory slap. Then he noticed it was just a tree. After finding that out, things just got more confusing. He took a step away.

Venec:
"Hm? Something happen?"
DNA:
"...not exactly."
DNA:
"...A dead end. Sorry guys. My fault."
Kia:
"Looks like we have to turn back..."

Venec:
"Tsk, dead end. East it is." Venec shook his head, "Not your fault."
Ramora:
"Umm. This tree just moved."

Venec:
"This one?"
DNA:
..."Is there something near my feet?" He reached down to check.
Ramora:
"Unless the fresh air is getting to me.
Narrator :

Kia:
Kia pointed her pokedex at the tree. "Last thing I knew was that tree's didn't move."

Cepheus picks it up and examines its contents, if any.
Narrator :
"Sudowoodo, the imitation Pokémon. Rock type. To avoid being attacked, it does nothing but mimic a tree. It hates water and flees from rain."

Ramora:

Venec was already charging his attack, it was too late to hold back now.

Ramora:
"that or a very strong wind just passed that I didn't feel."

Kia:
Kia chuckled and took a few steps forward. "Here let me take care of this. Sudo---woodo" (In it's language is asking the pokemon to move)

Kia:
Kia loses 5 hit points.

Ramora:
Stares at Kia.

Venec looked at Kia with a face full of "What?"

Cepheus:
Cepheus didn't appear to be surprised at all by this.
Ramora:
"Did she jsut talk to a pokemon? I think that butterfree hit me with alittle more then paralyze spores."

Kia:
Kia simply shurrged blushing a little. "It is new to me as well...although my father use to be able to talk to pokemon all the time."

"I've seen her talk to Pokemon before; it's not that unusual."
Ramora:
Blinks, still staring at Kia.

Venec:
"Can you try it again?" Venec pointed to a tree that was blocking the path they came. "I'm pretty sure that wasn't there before."

Cepheus:
"...I see a lot more of them."
Ramora:
"Umm. This smells like a setup

Kia begins to look concerned as she glances around. "guys this sudowoodo just told me to watch out for pink cats...apparently they like to steal pokeballs."

Cepheus:
"Pink cats? Skitty, perhaps? Anyway, good thing to keep in mind."
Ramora:
"Why won't they just leave us alone, so we can get to Pewter already!!!"

Venec:
"Hopefully they just think it's funny."

Kia:
Kia looks at the sudowoodo who had talked. "Sudo--Sudo.." (Why are your friends surrounding us.)

Venec:
"Blocking our path that is. Ths could be serious trouble. Hmm..."
Ramora:
"Must be the light."

Sudowoodo:
"Rrrrgnngkk. Kkgnnahggrgrgrg!!"
You whisper to Andy: You're attracting a lot of attention. A bunch of people already ran by, stealing a bunch of us, but you're not like them. Not as dark or evil. We didn't know at first. We won't get in your way. Just be careful, many are better at hiding than us, and none are as kind.

Venec:
Venec smiled, "That's awesome Kia."
Ramora:
"That's one controntation avoided. What about the cats?"

Venec:
Venec made sure all his pokeballs were in the pockets INSIDE his coat as he walked.

Kia:
Kia nodded a look of concern on her face. "Thanks Sudowoodo." She turned towards the others. "Apparently a bunch of others have already been by and had stolen a bunch of them. Also I guess there are alot of stronger creatures hiding near by...maybe we should head back..."

Kia:
"That man that wanted to meet us in Pweter...what if he plans on killing us?"

Cepheus:
"...I think we should keep going. We've already come this far, and either way we'll have to deal with them anyway. We can't be trapped in Viridian forever."
Ramora:
"We're gonna have to get through them sooner or later anyway. Heading back isn't gonna do anything but stall us."

Kia:
Kia nodded in agreement but decided to place the rest of her active pokeballs securely inside her zipped bookbag.

Venec:
"He was running away while in possession of an egg, he was probably one of the many people being hunted. We might actually get some answers as to why people are dying over these things."

Cepheus:
Cepheus secured his Poke Balls as well, out of sight and out of reach.
Ramora:
Places his pokeballs in his side satchel and secures his cloak.
Ramora:
"Well lets keep going. Standing here is only stalling anyway. We can decide as we move.

Kia:
"Alright...everyone just keep your eyes peeled!"

Cepheus:
"I agree."

Venec:
"Oh, up there. Should we take that upper path or go back and try the west?
Ramora:
"We closer to up."

Kia:
"Let's try up" Kia just wanted to get through the forest as fast as possible.

Venec:
"... Nevermind, dead end up here too."
Ramora:

Venec:
Venec jumped and slid dow the small cliffside.

Cepheus:
"We were just there, Ramora."
Ramora:
"Oh. Right."

Cepheus:
"...I think I have a feeling on which way we're supposed to go next. Follow my lead."

Jupiter looked already like he was raring to go. Cepheus calmed his friend down and waited, looking for the more docile way out of the situation.
Kaorin Sakura:
"Murkrow, the Darkness Pokémon. Dark and Flying type. If spotted, it will lure an unwary person into chasing it, then lose the pursuer on mountain trails."

Cepheus:
"As far as I know, there aren't any mountains around here, so I don't think we need to worry about being hounded."
Kaorin Sakura:
The Murkrow just stare down at you from the trees, intently watching your every movement. No sounds. No flutters. Just empty stares.

Cepheus:
"I get the feeling they're just watching, and if we don't provoke them, they'll just leave us alone. Let's just keep going and leave them be."

Venec:
"Rhea and I will take the back this time," Venec replied.
Kaorin Sakura:
The sign itself is scratched and mutilated. You can make out some letters here and there. W...h ..t f.r .a.k ..k...n!

"Watch out for Dark Pokemon."

"This sign?" Venec asks, watching the birds intently.

Cepheus:
"...This one's a bit trickier. I'll try to figure it out as we keep walking."

Cepheus:
"...Still nothing yet..."

Cepheus:
"Let's try and stay on that path and go to the right."

Venec:

Cepheus:
"...What's the matter?"

Venec:
"It might be important on which path to take."

Cepheus:
"...Do you think we should take the left path?

"I think we should figure out the sign before chosing."

"I still don't have any ideas though yet..."

"The second line is probably "Isn't the... I don't know the last word but that was enough to make me wary". "

Cepheus:

"I think the first two are names, C something and D something."

Cepheus:
Cepheus got out a slip of paper as he summoned Grace, then wrote down what he saw on the sign. he showed the paper to Grace, and asked "Can you make any sense of these words at all?"

Venec:
Venec scratched the back of his head, as he often did when unsure.

Kia:
"Hmm..."

Cepheus:
"Can't read human writing? ...Oh, sorry."

Cepheus:
Never mind that idea then. wait a minute...What about the Pinsir? He was reluctant to try, but then again, the idea might pay off.

Cepheus:
He recalled Grace, and summoned Estark instead, asking him the same request.

"I don't know if you can make sense of this, but any ideas would help."

Venec shrugged, "It was worth a shot but now waiting might be the bigger danger." He started t feel silly he stopped everything for a puzzle he couldn't solve.

"Are we sure the second word is darks and not dogs?" Her eyes fastened on Houndour thoughtfully.

"Oh, there wasn't?"
Ramora:

"It may be stalk instead of still, considering we're still being watched."

Cepheus:
"...Cats and darks alike stalk and hunt the unwary." Okay, except for the 'darks' bit, that makes sense.

Cepheus:
"And it wasn't dogs. It had 5 letters."

Estark:
"It may be referring to attack types, or evil, or people, or pokemon, or shadows, or ghosts."
Ramora:
"So what's the D? stand for. 4 letters because the s makes it plural."

Cepheus:
"That's possible..."

Venec:
"Well, I noticed they like to move when our torch does, so we know they are following us." He looked at Cepheus, "I thought darks worked, as in dark types." He shrugged, "Either way it's a warning, not an instruction for safety. We should keep going whether or not our answer is spot on."
