Political musings?

Mikoto is thinking of organizing the structure of government to be as equally matriarchal as the whole relationship business. Essentially, if males are taking on the responsibility of staying home and raising the children of multiple partners, there really won't be much time for any male to run for office. There's a bit of an exception in the case of males who don't wish to be part of a family unit, but Mikoto wonders if they'd be able to handle possible social stigma in that case. That'll just have to remain on the table until they see how all of this works out. She doesn't really want to discriminate or anything.

Either way, she is proposing the title of President for the official governor of the state. Unlike royal titles, where 'Your highness', 'your excellency', or 'your lordship' might be acceptable alternatives in addressing the ruler, Mikoto thinks a simple 'Madam', 'Madam President', or 'Chief' will do. She's considering appointing delegated staff to help with certain elements of government that would be too broad for her to keep track of by herself. This President's Council would be appointed by the President herself, and the President in turn... she pauses for a moment here - would actually take a leaf from the new Burmecian government and be appointed by the people, thereafter ruling until she was no longer capable of her post or she resigned. A secondary leader would probably also have to be available, she notes, in case of things such as pregnancy or sickness.

The capital will be the original site that their people settled in on Gaia - Black Mage Village. Which probably seems like an odd choice given most of their people are in Treno at the moment, but she thinks overall BMV has more room to expand and be distinct in comparison. The proposed lumbering of the area will actually help with that somewhat.

She's currently taking a vote through the Elekin people about where they'd like to stay if given the choice, while she tries to make arrangements. She's going back and forth and quite a bit of is happening with this. Surprisingly, a lot of the mages that stuck with Ayane longer seem like they might be more comfortable back on the Outer Continent, but the transport and housing seems to be the main issue at the moment.

Overall, Cid kinda dumped a bugbear in her lap but she seems to be dealing with it okay.
