>a fairly ordinary steel-belted radial of ordinry size (235/65/R15), but of the semi-offroad variety
>spend a few years in upstate new york mounted on the rim of a small farm trailer, with my twin brother
>we move equipment and sometimes animals around the farm
>life is pretty good, just a good honest existence
>we go on like this few a few years
>then one day the trailer is parked and doesn't move anymore
>we sit worried for months
>finally, one morning, we roll for a few hours to a parking lot surrounded with a chain-link fence
>we are unmounted and thrown on a big pile with other, mostly shittier tires
>there is talk amongst all the tires that we will be 'liquidated'
>we move on like this, day to day, worried about our future
>one day a crew comes to sort us into two piles
>the bigger pile is taken away, we never see them again
>we are moved to another place, some kind of factory
>we each get 3 big holes drilled in one of our sidewalls
>we have galvanized steel machine bolts and washers put in our sidewall holes
>a few days later we get thrown in the back of a van
>we are terrified, we do not know what to expect
>we emerge in a park in a huge dirty city
>we have never seen any place like this before, and we are terrified
>we get rubber-coated steel galvaned chains attached to our bolts
>the last link of each chain is welded closed, there is no escape
>we are hung sideways from a horizontal steel beam
>we are now part of a huge yellow horrific contraption
>childen come every day and put their dirty asses on us
>we swing the children, hurdling them back and forth, for most of the daylight hours
>this was not our purpose. this could not possibly be our destiny!
>this hell goes on for almost another 8 years
>when will this torture end? WILL it ever end?
>then one day a guy shows up and pushes me way harder than he should
>but he's so fucking stupid that he let me swing back into him
>turns out I smashed him in the face and killed him
>on that day everything became clear to me
>this was now the happiest and proudesst day of my life
>this is why I was brought here, it must have been destiny after all
