1.
Welcome to the unofficial Overpwn Viability Rankings thread! In this thread, we as a community will rank every single usable Hero into "tiers", which are named according to standard letter grades because after participating this thread you should be able to take your opponents to school! In this thread, you're encouraged to post your thoughts and opinions on the various Heroes and what tier they should fall under.

The general idea of the topic is to rank each Hero under "rankings" that go in descending order. As this is a general tier list, everything is lumped together. There won't be any segregation between offensive and defensive threats, and the ordering within tiers will be alphabetical.

 2.

 3.
Ranking definitions are as follows:

 4.

 5.
SS: Heroes that are broken beyond belief, a nerf is either expected or vouched for across all communities. You would know when something belongs here.

 6.

 7.
S: Heroes that define the current Metagame. Name the heroes in S at a given time and people know exactly which meta you are talking about.

 8.

 9.
A: Heroes that are consistently good in the current metagame, and are the go-to picks in the competitive scene.

 10.

 11.
B: Heroes that pull their weight in the current metagame, but have some flaws that keep them from being consistent forces. Their viability tends to vary wildly depending on the map and opposing team composition.

 12.

 13.
C: Heroes that can be potentially devastating, but work only on specific team compositions or maps, and usually have a hard time pulling their weight outside of those scenarios.

 14.

 15.
D: Heroes that are either outclassed by heroes in an above rank, or have downsides that tend to make it hard to justify using them. They occasionally get a lucky combination of team compositions and map to shine for a short time, or an overly specific scenario, but those moments tend to be rare.

 16.

 17.
E: Heroes that are relatively underpowered in the current metagame, with cool abilities and capabilities but have one or more crippling flaws that hold them back. You may see a player occasionally attempt to utilize them, but it is usually at the player's expense.

 18.

 19.
F: Heroes that are practically useless in the current metagame, a buff is either expected or vouched for across all communities. You would know when something belongs here.

 20.

 21.

 22.
And without further ado, here are the rankings.

 44.
Rules:

 45.

 46.
Post intelligently. Posts like "I think Hero X should be in this tier" is discouraged.

 47.
No flaming and being an idiot. You'll get warned if you purposely do. This specifically includes making joke nominations.

 48.
Usage statistics may be used to support an argument or a claim, but don't base your ENTIRE argument around them. For example, you can't just say "Hero X shouldn't be this tier because they aren't used that often!"

 49.
Unrelated stuff, one liners that ask questions that provide no substance, something that doesn't really pertain to rankings or petty arguments about semantics and definitions, such as the definition of a counter as one example, is discouraged.

 50.
The Overpwn moderators are amazing. This is an undisputed fact.

 51.

 52.
Happy posting!

 53.
