  68. Bio: The Mortfelt name once held some prestige of its own in Karlt's royal army. Ramon Mortfelt was a notable lieutenant under General Torves, his family lived in the safety of Ranz's walls, and the man's swordmanship was legendary.
  69.
  70. As a family man, rumors had Ramon as a man of saintly disposition, father of three sons and one daughter, and their role model in altruism. His sons picked up the pen rather than the sword, with the incentive to become scholars. His wife, a caretaker of the house, shared the same softness and hope as he did.
  71.
  72. As a man who inspired storied of chivalry, Ramon was esteemed by his subordinates but seen as a nuisance by some peers, deserters, and bandit leaders. In the end, intrigue saw his end. Those who saw him as a threat in this no man's land had him assassinated at the dead of the night, returning home after a special meeting with The Council.
  73.
  74. Justice did not come to the country by this man. Ramon's house was burned shortly after, his wife and children dying inside. Such the stories say. Stories that one drunk bard or another might sing of in a bar to pay his meal for the night, whether it is authentic or the details have embellished to augment the tragedy, nobody knows anymore. Nobody seems to care, but a select few.
  75.
  76. Whether Igor is a distant relative of a poorer branch, one of his children, or just some wretch with the same last name by happenstance, nobody knows, and he would make no comment himself. What everybody in a southern Lenonian town knows is that the brat appeared in his young years, with an old bard and carpenter by the name of Elias, his grandfather by all accounts, and for all they cared.
  77.
  78. Two years after the two settled, Elias had vanished in the dead of the night, as well. Leaving a jovial Igor lost, aimless, and with little true support from the citizens. He survived his first few years as a freelancer, building his strength and independence, but always seen as rather anti-social and distant to the town. They knew he didn't belong, and he knew he didn't belong either.
  79.
  80. After picking up the sword, Igor left the town with no words nor regret. He traveled to Karlt, taking the trade of the sellsword, and fighting bandits and deserters "to improve his swordsmanship", as he would respond to inquirers. To the keen observers, his devotion to combat was quite frightening, and those that hired him always criticized his abandon, as if he had no will to live. Igor never denied those claims. To those who suggested his skill would serve well in the army, his only reply was disinterest.
  81.
  82. Year after year, Igor grew more dedicated to the trade, a man sought by some guilds, but resented by many others thanks to his nature. Igor grew the fame of bloodthirst, caring only for the next chance to spill blood. Those that know of his sharp judgement and literacy from coexistance find his abandon puzzling, Igor just believes there is no place fit for him in the world.
