Dutch Thread Convention Schedule 2016

This Pastebin contains all of the remaining Dutch conventions and /cgl/ related events from 2016. It's listen in chronological order, with events that have already taken place being removed from the list. In this list you will also find some basic information about each con/event such as the location, prices, special events, general advice and other relevant data. Keep in mijn that especially schedules and prices tend to change a lot, meaning I can't guarantee this list will always have the right data in it. In other words, don't take anything on here for granted.

The Elf Fantasy fair is another outdoor Fantasy fair, this time held in Arcen which is also where the best Dutch beer comes from. At Elfia you can find a lot of cosplayers, LARPers, dealers and such. Their programme is still "in the making", but you can already see some fun things they have put up on their site. Keep in mind however that their tickets go up in price as the convention draws nearer.

Tomofair is a yearly fair in the Jan Messinkhal in Nijmegen (5 minutes from Station Goffert). It is focused selling anime, manga, cosplay gear, J-fashion and general J-culture items. Of course it's still Tomo, so some vendors will be selling bootleg material. There will be some events, including a cosplay catwalk that people may join without having to sign up or anything.

First Look is a gaming convention held in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The schedule hasn't been posted yet, but you can expect a lot of games, dealers, eSports and cosplay. Keep in mind it is organised by Blammo and that last years cosplay competition had their "judges" make jokes at the expense of the cosplayers.

This year Nishicon will be a three day event for the first time, and in order to make that possible they have moved the Theaterhotel which is where Animecon used to be held. There is no schedule yet, hotel rooms are overly expensive and so that's all I can say about it for now.

Imagicon is a convention for cosplayers, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror fans. There will be workshops, movies, a LAN game room, multiple panels and more that's to be announced. They also have a shitload of Doctor Who stuff on their Facebook page which makes me extremely happy.

FACTS is a comic-style for those interested in comics, manga, anime, Sci-Fi and pretty much everything related to geek culture. Currently they haven't released a schedule but there will be specials guests whom you can pay for a picture and/or autograph, several workshops and of course enough dealers to spend all your money on. Also note that all cosplayers (bad and good) will receive a discount on their tickets, so better dust off those cat ears and save yourself a few bucks.

The MGC Experience is, what appears to be, a small convention with an AMV compo, cosplay fashion show, DDR and a lot of events that are still to be announced. In other words, more on MGC will be added later.

A special Christmas edition of Dutch Comic Con, to be held in the MECC in Maastricht. The only just announced it and there are absolutely no details other than a date and location.
