  1. >You are Anon
  2. >And man, did this take longer than you thought…
  3. >Last night, you arrived in this strange land of Equestria with nothing but the clothes on your back and your basketball
  4. >And here you are, almost a day later, finally having constructed your masterpiece
  5. >The near-setting sun nicely complimented your work, giving almost a dramatic shine of light to it
  6. >…it really wasn’t much
  7. >You got one of Spike’s old sleeping baskets, broke a hole through it, shaped it, and attached it about eight feet up on the side of Twilight’s library tree
  8. >Then you got a large plank of wood and secured a backboard behind it
  9. >Just like an at-home basketball net
  10. >Time to give it a try
  11. >You pick up your basketball, dribble it a bit, then take a shot
  12. >It bounces off the plank-backboard and sinks in nicely to the basket
  13. >The ball pangs against the ground and begins to bounce/roll slowly to you
  14. >It’s perfect
  15. >Now all you need is Rainbow Dash to come by, and you can show her how to shoot
  16. >It’d be nice to have an opponent
  17. >Tiffany was who you usually got back home, she was pretty good with a ball herself
  18. >You stare absentmindedly at the ground, dribbling the ball
  19. >Wonder what she’s up to?
  20. >You grab the ball and take another shot
  21. >It’s angled awkwardly and hits the backboard, bouncing back off
  22. >The ball bounces and rolls away in defeat
  23. >You walk over slowly and pick it up
  24. >You’re not really feeling it anymore
  25. >”Anon!” you hear called. It’s Twilight by the voice
  26. >Correct. She trots out excitedly towards you from the house
  27. >”Anon! Princess Celestia finally answered!”
  28. >She dances on her tiptoes… tiphooves…? excitedly
  29. >”She’ll be arriving tomorrow around noon to see you! She may even escort us to Canterlot for further examination!”
  30. >She squees in delight
  31. >For obvious reasons, you’re not too excited about being presented as a species to royalty and her subjects
  32. >But you put on a smile for Twilight
  33. That’s great, Ms. Sparkle!
  34. >”Please,” she smiles. “Just call me Twilight. We know each other well enough, don’t we?”
  35. >You scratch the back of your head
  36. Yeah, I suppose we do.
  37. >She nods happily
  38. So where, or what, is Canterlot?
  39. >”It’s the city where the princesses live! I’m from there myself, I’m her star student!”
  40. >Wow, this whole situation has gotten her excited over everything
  41. >You take another shot, this time, swishing it
  42. Sounds like a plan.
  43. >You say with a smile and a pat to her head
  44. >She vibrates slightly again…
  45. >The ball bounces back to you, and you wind up for another shot
  46. >”Anon!”
  47. >There goes your concentration!
  48. >The shot went way too far right, bouncing off the tree and rolling into the streets of town
  49. >Fluttershy flutters up, grabs the basketball, and brings it back to you
  50. >”Oh, I’m sorry Anon, I didn’t mean to break your focus…” she says, landing
  51. >You rustle her mane
  52. Don’t even worry about it, Ms. Fluttershy.
  53. >She smiles meekly under your hand
  54. >”What brings you around here again, Fluttershy?” Twilight asks, trotting up next to you
  55. >”I just wanted to see Anon again, and was wondering if… well, if maybe you’d changed your mind and would… maybe like to stay the night at my cottage tonight…?”
  56. >She’s so meek and nervous, it’s adorable
  57. >You look over to Twilight to see her reaction
  58. >It seems… defensive, almost. Her eyes are squinted and questioning
  59. >You thought she was all for it yesterday…
  60. >”I’m not sure, Fluttershy. The Princess will be here tomorrow to see him, and I think he ought to be with me in that case.”
  61. >”Oh my! Even more reason for me to see him more! What if he’s taken away and I never see him again?”
  62. >You really hope that’s not the case
  63. >”You’ll see him plenty, I just think I should be the one to look over him.”
  64. >”But you were going to let him yesterday. Oh please, Twilight.”
  65. >Geez, it’s like you’re not even here
  66. >Poor Fluttershy, wants to spend time with you so badly. Perhaps you could make it work out…
  67. >Just for her
  68. Actually…
  69. >Your input breaks the mild bickering between the mares
  70. …I think I could manage to spend a night there.
  71. >”Really?!” they both say in unison
  72. Yeah, sure. I mean, if she really wants me to. But, you know, no bed sharing, okay?
  73. >Fluttershy hesitates, then nods with a smile
  74. >”…okay, if you’re sure, Anon. But please be back here bright and early to prepare for the Princess’s arrival.”
  75. No worries, Twilight, I’ll be here.
  76. >You say confidently
  77. >You walk over, kneel down, and give her a hug
  78. >She jumps a bit in surprise, then returns it
  79. >You knew she’d like that. All these p0nies seem to enjoy a nice hug
  80. >You grab your basketball and begin walking with Fluttershy
  81.
  82. >The cottage smells nice, like an enchanted forest of some kind
  83. >Animals like squirrels and rabbits frolic around the area freely
  84. >It’s pretty cute. But again, animals and you… don’t mesh very well
  85. >You’ll be sure to keep out of their way
  86. >Fluttershy is so happy to have you
  87. >She waits on you hand and foot, giving you a comfortable seat on the couch, plenty of pillows, and cooks you a tasty meal of soup
  88. >It really is generous of her
  89. >After dinner, she snuggles up next to you on the couch, like at Twilight’s, and rests her head on your lap
  90. >You gently pet her like before
  91. Thanks for everything, Ms. Fluttershy. You’re a great host.
  92. >”Oh no, thank YOU, Anon. I’ve absolutely loved having you.
  93. >She emphasized “loved” quite a bit there…
  94. >You brush it off
  95. >”…do you know what they’ll be doing with you over in Canterlot?” she asks solemnly
  96. >You shrug
  97. I have no idea. Twilight hasn’t told me much. Hopefully just some examinations and I’ll be on my way.
  98. >”On your way back here to P0nyville?” she asks
  99. Well… I suppose…
  100. >You think a little more
  101. I was more hoping back home, to Earth. Maybe they could help?
  102. >Fluttershy’s ears flatten a little, but you don’t really notice
  103. I don’t really belong here, y’know? I have friends there, and my parents are probably very worried about me.
  104. >She nods her head
  105. >”Then we’ll just have to make out time here together… a little more precious.” She says, nuzzling into you
  106. >It’s enough to make you a little uncomfortable
  107. Actually, Ms. Fluttershy, I was hoping I could go to sleep soon… it’s rather late…
  108. >”Okay Anon, dear.”
  109. >Wow, she took that way better than you expected
  110. >”You can come up to my bed to sleep.”
  111. >You sigh
  112. Ms. Fluttershy, I thought we agreed that there would be no bed sharing?
  113. >She blushes
  114. >”I was hoping… maybe you’d reconsider…?”
  115. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t really be comfortable…
  116. >Her ears flatten once more and she looks down sadly
  117. >You sigh once more, and scratch her behind her ear
  118. >She vibrates, and her wings rise slowly
  119. >You take precautions not to touch them. Don’t want to make her uncomfortable like Rainbow Dash
  120. Could I sleep on the couch? Please?
  121. >She looks up to you, her eyes showing some kind of internal conflict
  122. >Why did she want you in her bed so much?
  123. >”Alright Anon, dear. You can sleep down here.”
  124. >You smile
  125. Thanks Ms. Fluttershy
  126. >Fluttershy gets you a comfier pillow and a cozy blanket and tucks you in
  127. >Just like your own mom used to do back home, and sometimes still does, when you have a nightmare or watch a scary movie or something
  128. >”I’ll see you in the morning, Anon. Goodnight.”
  129. >She pecks you on the cheek again
  130. >Affectionate, this one
  131. Goodnight Ms. Fluttershy
  132. >And with that, you close your eyes and roll over, drifting off into sleep
  133.
  134. >”Come on, just a quick one? Please Anon?” she says, eyes wide, hands behind her back, shoulders rocking back and forth
  135. I… I dunno, Tiff. Have you ever really done it before?
  136. >”No, silly! That’s why I want to try. And who better than with you, my BFF?”
  137. >She’s so sweet. How could you deny your best friend’s wishes?
  138. …alright. But just really quick, okay?
  139. >You say, a little scared
  140. >She overexaggeratedly nods her head. “Mhmm!”
  141. >She closes her eyes and puckers her lips
  142. >You sigh silently and do the same
  143. >You bring your lips closer and closer to hers
  144. >Until they press
  145. >They’re together for just a second
  146. >Until Tiffany puts a hand behind your head and holds you, pressing her lips harder
  147. >Your eyes widen in surprise
  148. >This is way longer than intended
  149. >You almost want to say something to stop it… but you’re enjoying it way more than you thought you would
  150. >Your very first kiss
  151. >With Tiffany…
  152.
  153. >A wet feeling is coming from your lips
  154. >You slowly and groggily roll your eyes awake
  155. >You dreamt about that time again…
  156. >That was a few months ago
  157. >And it hasn’t really changed any dynamic between you and Tiffany
  158. >Although… you really wanted to ask her about it, but…
  159. >Hold on
  160. >If that was a dream, why do you still feel something warm and wet pressed against your lips?
  161. >You mentally snap yourself a little more awake and look
  162. >Oh my gosh…
  163. >Is that… Ms. Fluttershy?
  164. >Her eyes are closed, lips pressed hard against yours, hoof working circles around your chest and stomach area
  165. >What the heck is going on?
  166. >This is waaaay past your comfort zone
  167. >You fake a cough to get her off
  168. >She squeaks in surprise and launches herself off of you
  169. >Your eyes lock for what seems like hours, both with a look of utter surprise on your faces
  170. >You look over to the side of your couch, where the basketball is
  171. >You dart up, still keeping an eye on her
  172. WellIhadagreattimeoverherewithyou
  173. >You blurt out, grabbing your basketball
  174. ButIreallythinkIoughttabeheadingbacktoTwilight’sokayseeyoutomorrow!
  175. >And with that, you bolt out the door
  176. >”Anon, please, wait, I can explain that!” she yells from her porch. “Please don’t leave yet!”
  177. I’ll see you tomorrow before I go, Ms. Fluttershy!
  178. >You yell back, to make her feel more at ease
  179. >You don’t know if you’ll see her tomorrow at all
  180. >After a long run back to P0nyville in the cool night air, you slow down and start to catch your breath
  181. >What the heck was all of that about? Why did she kiss you?
  182. >Did she… like you?
  183. >That makes no sense. She’s a p0ny, you’re a boy. Even then, she’s way older!
  184. >There had to be some explanation
  185. >You begin bouncing your ball in thought
  186. >Maybe you ought to keep this to yourself…
  187. >You don’t want Fluttershy to be embassassed or anything
  188. >”Do I hear a basketball?” you hear from the sky
  189. >A streak of rainbow launches itself from the sky before landing down next to you
  190. >There stands Rainbow Dash
  191. >She extends her wing out
  192. >”Come on, pass me the ball!”
  193. >You laugh. It’s as if the night’s events didn’t even happen anymore
  194. >You bounce the ball over to her, and she catches it in her wing
  195. >She then starts dribbling the ball in concentration, tongue sticking out of her mouth and everything
  196. >It’s adorable
  197. >”See? I ain’t too bad!” she says, bouncing the ball under her body to her opposite wing
  198. Not at all, not at all.
  199. >You reassure.
  200. Say… I built a net today… want to shoot some hoops?
  201. >She beams
  202. >”Do I!”
  203.
  204. >The rest of the night and early morning was spent teaching Rainbow Dash how to shoot
  205. >She would fold her wings above her back holding the ball, and shoot from there
  206. >Her wings were surprisingly flexible, and she even managed to imitate a proper shot, like how you would with hands
  207. >Her accuracy was below average, but that’s to be expected when you can’t properly see the ball you’re shooting
  208. >Regardless, you had a great time
  209. >You both laughed and learned
  210. >Heck, you even got some basketball practice in
  211. >As the morning sun began to show itself, Dash began to call it a night
  212. >”I have work today, squirt.” She says, dribbling the basketball next to her like a pro. “I really should get at least SOME shut-eye before I start.”
  213. >You realize you have a busy day today as well
  214. I actually have things to do today, too… I’m meeting the Princess.
  215. >”Celestia’s coming down? What for?”
  216. Well, me, I suppose… I may even be taken to Canterlot.
  217. >She briefly shows a sign of disappointment, but masks it quickly
  218. >She passes the ball to you, you continue the dribble fluidly
  219. >”Well, just be sure to be back in time for more practice, okay?” she says with a smile
  220. >You return the smile
  221. Absolutely, Rainbow Dash.
  222. >”Catch you later.”
  223. >And with that, she zooms off once again
  224. >You grip the ball between your fingers and sigh
  225. >Tomorrow… er, today, was going to be a long day
  226. >You head inside slowly, Spike and Twilight still sleeping, careful not to wake them
  227. >Sneaking up the stairs, you head to where your little floor-bed was set up
  228. >You can give an explanation as to why you’re back when you wake up
  229. >You place your ball down and begin to climb in
  230. >Weird… where are your covers?
  231. >Glancing around the room, you see a sliver of it hanging from Twilight’s bed
  232. >You approach it, seeing Ms. Sparkle herself cuddling the blanket, with some of it covering her face
  233. >She’s breathing heavily in her sleep
  234. >Weird. Must have been really cold
  235. >You gently snag the covers back from her, lay down in bed, and begin to drift off
  236. >Hopefully undisturbed this time
  237.
  238. End of Part 3
