  2. 01[22:36] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Returning once more to our rowdy ruffians of the Mareizona wastes, they had just fended off a trio of Manticores, giving some nasty wounds for their efforts. Finding themselves due north of the sprawling ruins that they've read on their newly aquired map as, 'Hellfire City Ruins', they stand on a broken stretch of asphalt, the sand and dust of time not engulfing the well-traveled road, as it was a major trade route for the indigenous locals. Late in the day from their traveling, they still have quite a few hours ahead of them before reaching their ultimate destination of 'Mercy.' Hoping to dissuade or stem off a potential N.P.L or M.A.C. assault on the settlement, as they've heard via radio.
  3. 06[22:37] * +Sour_Grape says, "Many-corns are pussies. We needa better challenge, like a super many-corn, what shoots fire from it's eyes. Now that'd be'a good fight."
  4. 06[22:38] * +Roy_Calbeck eyes Sour_Grape. "Let's hope Luna didn't hear that."
  5. 06[22:38] * +Sour_Grape shrugs, "Why not? I bet she'd agree."
  6. 06[22:39] * +Roy_Calbeck hurries to Slag's prone form. "Hang on, I can purge him...!"
  7. 01[22:39] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Slag_Heap can still feel his muscles tightening in an agonizing manner, his body ultimately non-responsive.
  8. 06[22:39] * +Dust_Off takes a bandage and patches up the sound on her side. "Roy, use your magic so we can save our antivenom." (partial retcon okay?)
  9. 06[22:42] * +Roy_Calbeck lowers his horn, enveloping the bulky stallion in an off-white field of magic. Waves of energy wash through bloodstreams and organs, seeking and neutralizing the deadly venom.
  10. 06[22:43] * +Sour_Grape "Oh stop bein' such'a wimp Slag."
  11. 06[22:43] * +Slag_Heap clenches his jaw, but doesn't say anything. He breathes deeply, and waits for Roy_Calbeck to finish. "I hope you don't have to feel poison in your veins, kid. Its really not fun."
  12. 01[22:44] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Slag_Heap can feel his muscles relaxing, to the point that amblatory functions are possible once more... However his muscles do still feel slightly sore from constricting so much, and he's incredibly thirsty and hungry... as if he has eaten nothing for days.
  13. 06[22:45] * +Slag_Heap gulps. "Damn... anypony got any food or water?"
  14. 06[22:45] * +Dust_Off glances at Sour, "Stop, this very serious."
  15. 06[22:45] * +Sour_Grape looks over at Slag, "Huh, ah was already posioned once by ah zebra sword. Ah didn't whine 'bout it nearly as much."
  16. 06[22:46] * +Slag_Heap looks down at Sour_Grape. "Sure..."
  17. 06[22:47] * +Sour_Grape looks at Sagittis to confirm her story, because he was there
  18. 06[22:50] * +Roy_Calbeck peers at Slag. "You didn't get anything while we were in Dune?"
  19. 06[22:50] * +Sagittis nods at Sour_Grape's statement. "Antivenom helped, but she was a trooper."
  20. 06[22:51] * +Slag_Heap looks at Roy_Calbeck. "Nope." He looks at Sagittis and Sour_Grape. "So I'm supposed to shut up and not let anypony know I have a foreign substance in my veins?"
  21. 06[22:52] * +Sour_Grape rolls her eyes, "Ah jus' think tha floopying over was a bit over-dramatic is all. Sheesh. Maybe ya got hit with a grump-posion."
  22. 06[22:53] * +Roy_Calbeck facehoofs. "Look, let's just get movin' before any more of those critters come back. You can have some of my water an' food, an' get whatcha need when we get there."
  23. 06[22:53] * +Roy_Calbeck floats two bottles of water and two packs of potato chips over towards Slag. "That's what I can spare."
  24. 06[22:54] * +Slag_Heap shakes his head and gets moving. "I didn't do that. Muscles locked." He takes the food and eats them. "Thanks."
  25. 06[22:58] * +Roy_Calbeck trots forward to take up the point position again, looking between the critter-infested woods to one side and towards the ruins of what is presumably Hellfire City off in the distance.
  26. 06[22:58] * +Sour_Grape looks at hellfire city, "Them place reminds me of that one town with that stable."
  27. 06[23:00] * +Dust_Off looks at the ruins, "Equinopia...opolis...that one. Must be a reason nopony lives there...."
  28. 06[23:00] * +Slag_Heap pulls out the remainder of his cigar and starts smoking. "Probably where the manticores came from. Safe bet that there's more of em."
  29. 06[23:01] * +Sour_Grape says to Dust_Off, "Ain't nopony live there cause we blew'd it up... or did ya mean hellfire? Ah wouldn't live in a place named that on principle
  30. 01[23:02] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Again, the city is close in resembalance to Equinopia... however there are many more, much larger buildings that can be seen... The one Skyscrapper that the group saw long ago, is much more numerous and intricate in design off in the distance... however the road they're on currently doesn't seem to lead directly into the heart of the city itself... an ancient Highway sign can be seen that has many bullet holes, scorch marks, and dried blood strewn on it. What /is/ seen, has scrawling over it that reads, 'Hellfire City Ruins stay out of city'.
  31. 06[23:03] * +Roy_Calbeck turns his head back to grin at Sour. "I'd think you'd live there just t'prove nothin' there's scarier'n you."
  32. 06[23:04] * +Sour_Grape thinks about this and nods, "Well, maybeh." She spots the signs and says, "Oh, looks like tha cities already taken. Ah'd say raiders, but they ain't got nopony hangin;' ta prove their point."

  34. 06[23:06] * +Roy_Calbeck blinks at that last bit, but turns back to survey the road ahead.
  35. 06[23:08] * +Dust_Off administers a health potion to Slag_Heap, "I was talking about Hell City. And it certainly wasn't named that before... I hope. Let's keep off the side away from the city for now...something else to explore."
  36. 06[23:09] * +Slag_Heap takes the potion. "I already got two, boss. Sure you want me to take it?"
  37. 01[23:09] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The road is eeriely clear, a soft breeze blows by the group, with ramshackle remains of pre-war buildings down the ways leading to a row of houses that flank either side of the street... none of the houses that actually remain standing look particularly safe to enter, many various cracks can be seen from the base of the structures running clear up to the roof. Other structures blown down completely, similar to much of other pre-war ruins the group has visited in past, a pile of ancient rubble next to the still remaining ones.
  38. 06[23:11] * +Roy_Calbeck studies the ruins as they pass through, mainly looking for potential ambush spots. "Doesn't even look like scavvers'd have much interest around here. Not even countin' the wildlife..."
  39. 06[23:14] * +Slag_Heap lights the pilot light on his flamer and lets out a low, deep hum. "Went through a place like this eighteen years ago. Almost walked into a raider ambush..."
  40. 06[23:15] * +Sour_Grape "Well then it weren't a very good ambush."
  41. 06[23:16] * +Roy_Calbeck chuckles. "Haven't run inta many raider ambushes that weren't tipped off by at least one hopped-up schmuck chargin' in as soon as they saw their prey..."
  42. 06[23:17] * +Dust_Off frowns, "Not our priority, but there could be a point to looking around here some other time." She looks at the map, " We should get moving..."
  43. 06[23:19] * +Slag_Heap shakes his head. "They might have jumped us if a bunch of Steel Rangers didn't see them first. We averted course, the raiders went up in smoke."
  44. 06[23:20] * +Sagittis looks from Roy_Calbeck to Dust_Off. "Mind if I circle around the buildings? You know I can make good time."
  45. 06[23:20] * +Sour_Grape :Why go round tha buildin's? THe sign said'a stay out, it's probably dangerous
  46. 01[23:21] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Proceeding further into the ruins of the once magnificent pre-war city, the group notices as they travel along the trade route that the area they venture through is littered with pre-war buildings that are quite small, but uniform in design. From their previous goings into other ruins, the more experienced and intellectual of the group... or those with savvy survival skills, would make note that this was once district dedicated to residency. Passing by a small ruined, and rusted small park with a broken down chain-link fence, the party finds themselves at a crossroads. Two signs, back to back to one another, can be seen near an off-ramp leading to a crumbling and cracked highway, going up the ramp, they can see various carriages of varying sizes with ancient equine skeletons starting turn up in frequency. The trade route they're on splits off, with the nearby sign they can read from their vantage point, pointing down the left fork that says, 'To Howti - Mercy'. Ancient pre-war words can be faintly read, but are nearly illegible to read less one gets much closer to them, but over the pre-war words read in large bold scrawling, 'DANGER! YOU WILL DIE!' with the arrows pointing up the highway ramp, as well as the right fork.
  47. 06[23:23] * +Dust_Off shakes her head, "Saggitis, I don't think we should go in right now. And you shouldn't go on your own."
  48. 06[23:23] * +Sour_Grape assumes people are reading signs outloud for her sake...
  49. 06[23:23] * +Roy_Calbeck is in fact reading the signs out loud, mostly for dramatic effect.
  50. 06[23:24] * +Roy_Calbeck looks back at Dust_Off. "Well, Cap?"
  51. 06[23:25] * +Sagittis looks along the lines of buildings. "This doesn't feel right..."
  52. 06[23:25] * +Sour_Grape snorts and looks at Sagi, "Ah know, its sayn' we'll die. As if."
  53. 06[23:26] * +Slag_Heap nods at Sagittis, looking around, chewing his cigar. "I gotta agree with Sagittis on this... I got a baaaaad feeling about this..."
  54. 06[23:27] * +Dust_Off nods, "I know it doesn't, Sagittis. Not knowing what's wrong. Let's go to mercy. Let's keep our eyes and ears open."
  55. 10[23:28] * Retrieving #FalloutEquestriaPNP modes...
  56. 06[23:30] * +Roy_Calbeck nods and moves up, once again taking point a few dozen yards ahead of the rest of the party. White and blond and floating his service rifle along, the unicorn expects to draw fire --- if any --- so the rest of the party can react to it. He's sure not going to be sneaking around in that combat armor of his...
  57. 06[23:30] * +Dust_Off pauses and floats up to the signs to see if they'd been tampered with or changed.
  58. 06[23:31] * +Sagittis looks as Roy_Calbeck heads up. "I'll bring up the rear then. Don't worry, I'll stay close." The fuzzy colt slinks back and tries to remain as hidden as he can on the road.
  59. 06[23:31] * +Slag_Heap keeps his eyes open, scanning the horizon and waiting... waiting to get out, or waiting to be attacked.
  60. 01[23:34] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off can see that the ancient pre-war road signs look like they've been remained in their position for as long as they were first placed, still secured firmly to the ground. With her rather keen perception, she can read more clearly the pre-war words, with the arrow pointing to the Highway reading, 'Interstate 24, Downtown Rebirth City mi--' then cuts off. The pre-war words leading to the fork leading to the right reads, 'Bit-Chomp 12 miles'. The prewar words on the left arrow leading further down the trade route reads, 'Shaded Sands 8 miles'.
  61. 01[23:37] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Sagittis is a sneaky little zebra colt. With a large set of weaponry... seriously, how does one sneak so well with such an aresnal?!

  63. 06[23:38] * +Dust_Off flies back to group. "No one's messed with the signs. Let's stay onto Mercy."
  64. [23:38] <+Sagittis> It's the stripes. Designed for camo baby.
  65. 06[23:40] * +Slag_Heap nods at Dust_Off. "Yeah... lets get outta here..."
  66. 01[23:44] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off floats back down to the group, like the pretty little pony that she is. Ach! Even her landings are cute!
  67. 06[23:45] * +Dust_Off is gorgeous, thankyouverymuch
  68. 06[23:46] * +Sour_Grape doesn't see it, "Less jus' keep movin' an if anyone stupid nough ta attack us, we feed them their teeth."

  87. 06[23:56] * +Dust_Off readies her MER, checking to make sure the buggy thing isn't going to...you know, explode or something.
  88. 01[23:57] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The group makes their way further down the trade route, keeping the other roads in mind for possible future exploration. Traveling some ways, the group comes across to strange sight... at first they swear they can hear a fanfare of epic orchestral music playing, but it quickly fades... Weird... The road continues onward, but the cracked asphalt leads them to a large building, a row of buildings connected to one another can be seen on the left with a small broken sign that reads, 'Oasis Shopping mall'. To the right more rows of pre-war buildings, except now they are larger in size, no longer appearing as single houses, but more like a tiny conjoined fusion of multiple houses. They also see a strange equine shaped figure milling about near one of the buildings on the left, making some sort of strange sounds, with how quiet the surrounding environment is, the more perceptive can hear as some type of speech. The figure gives off a shiny reflective surface.

  93. 06[00:01] * +Dust_Off halts and looks at the sight carefully. "Any idea?" she looks at her map to see if this was Mercy or not.
  94. 06[00:01] * +Slag_Heap nods slowly, getting his duns ready.
  95. [00:01] <+Slag_Heap> guns*
  96. 06[00:01] * +Roy_Calbeck flicks an ear towards the figure. "Hold on. It's sayin' somethin'."
  97. [00:01] <+Dust_Off> "No, Grape...not yet at least."
  98. 06[00:01] * +Sagittis hunkers down, loads a bottle and aims at the ting form stealth.
  99. 06[00:03] * +Dust_Off flicks an ear towards the figure, trying to see if she can hear.
  100. 01[00:03] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 For once, the handsome white stallion is a paragon of sense, as he distinctly hears the figure speaking in an obvious robotic tone, "PLEASE. DO NOT. CONTINUE. TO ELUDE, LAW ENFORCEMENT. EXCESSIVE FORCE. IS PERMITTED. ANY INJURIES OR DEATH CAN BE. PROPERLY FILED TO OUR. LEGAL DEPARTMENT." He, as well as Sagittis can clearly see that it's an ancient pre-war robot... trotting about on four metallic legs, with a bulbous featureless head, housing a large, circular glass casing that is partially cracked. It's back is currently facing the party from it's position.
  101. 06[00:05] * +Roy_Calbeck turns back to the group, blinking. "It's a law enforcement Protectapony."
  102. 06[00:05] * +Sagittis looks to see if he can spot any battery housings.
  103. 06[00:06] * +Sour_Grape says to roy, "Sooooo, thats means I can shoot it?"
  104. 06[00:06] * +Dust_Off looks at Roy_Calbeck, "I might be able to do something to it, if I can sneak up."
  105. [00:06] <+Dust_Off> "How feasible do you think that would be?"
  106. [00:06] <+Roy_Calbeck> "...aaaaand it's on the fritz. Currently active, 'excessive force permitted'."
  107. 01[00:06] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Sagittis indeed can spot such a device, right on the mechanical withers.
  108. 06[00:07] * +Roy_Calbeck looks from Sagi to Dust_Off. "Well, it still hasn't spotted us, and it seems to be doing what might be a patrol circuit. With a little patience, I think it's doable."

  112. 06[00:08] * +Sagittis scoots up to Roy_Calbeck. "I think I could yank its battery out if you like. No wasting ammo."
  113. 06[00:08] * +Sour_Grape pouts, she really wants to shoot it
  114. 06[00:09] * +Roy_Calbeck nods. "Well, it's up to th' Captain so far as I'm corn'cerned... I'm gonna drop into cover, just in case. Don't want it seein' me."
  115. 06[00:09] * +Dust_Off looks at to Sagittis, "I should be able to deactivate it and do a full salvage or even repair on it."
  116. [00:09] <+Dust_Off> "How about you come up with me for close support?"
  117. 06[00:12] * +Sagittis nods to Dust_Off. "Okay, You take left flank, I'll take right. I'll chuck pebbles if it looks like it is turning in your direction."
  118. 06[00:13] * +Roy_Calbeck finds something to hide his white-and-yellow keester behind.
  119. 06[00:14] * +Dust_Off cocks her head, observing the thing. "No. Wait....scratch that. This is a vastly different model. The kill switch isn't as exposed." She looks at Sagittis. "We could sneak and knock it out quicker, but we aren't going to be able just turn it off."
  120. 01[00:15] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 There are various carriages, as well as a sturdy trash recepticle to take cover behind, all somewhat getting close to the machine, ambling about in an exact direction. There is also, somewhat small guard railing from the road near the lot itself, that once could take partial cover behind.
  121. 06[00:15] * +Sour_Grape stands out in the open and aims her battle rifle at it
  122. 06[00:17] * +Sagittis shrugs. "Clean shot to the power cell or brain should bring it down, right? Same as a heart or brain on a pony. So, what would you rather salvage?"
  123. 06[00:18] * +Dust_Off shakes her head. "Let's take it out. It's dangerous to leave about." She nods to Sagittis, "And if we want salvage...let's let Roy and Grape take the shots. The rest of us will obliterate it potentially."
  124. 06[00:18] * +Slag_Heap has his guns trained, ready to fire.
  125. 06[00:20] * +Sagittis looks over to Sour_Grape and nods to Dust_Off. "Head or ass shot?"
  126. 06[00:20] * +Sour_Grape hears Sour and SHoot, and starts shooting, three times.
  127. 06[00:21] * +Sour_Grape totally aimed for the head too
  128. [00:21] <+Dust_Off> "Hea..." She sighs and looks at Grape.
  129. 06[00:22] * +Roy_Calbeck takes the guard railing, preferring not to get any closer to the machine than he has to.
  130. 06[00:23] * +Roy_Calbeck is still moving towards the railing when a triple burst of shotgun blasts erupt behind him, causing the unicorn to wince and look back at the carnage.
  131. 06[00:24] * +Sour_Grape was using her battle rifle, because she assumed they were at a distance. She has one of those.
  132. 06[00:24] * +Roy_Calbeck also has apparently mistaken rifle rounds for shotgun blasts. Well, there goes that perception thingy again...
  133. 01[00:29] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 As Roy_Calbeck takes cover behind a guard railing, finding the thin metal railing rather flimsy... Letting loose three shots, directed to the head of the trotting Machine, Sour_Grape's efforts strike true, each round smashing into the armored shell of the robot, creating nasty, sparking holes that causes the automaton to halt in it's tracks after shaking from the impact of the bullets. A faint buzzing and whirring can be heard as large amounts of crackling electricity can be seen enveloping the head, it blurts out, "WARNING! WA-RRRRRR- AR-AR NING! T-THREATS. DE-DE-DE-DE ECTED!" turning around the machine spots those out in the open, but not the flufflecolt who remains lurking.
  134. 06[00:30] * +Sagittis aims for the head and blams a bottle at it.
  135. 01[00:36] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Sagittis lets loose a thunderous booming from his PAR-T cannon, let sailing one of his bottles that slams right into the glass casing of the robotic equine, obliterating it. Upon doing so, there is a fantastic electric show as the head makes a strange high pitched buzzing sound, that results in a small explosion, bits and pieces of the armored head flying about harmlessly and embedding into the surrounding areas. Afterwards, the defunct robot tumbles over in a loud, clanking heap.
  136. 06[00:37] * +Roy_Calbeck looks over the railing, giving a low whistle. "Damn..."
  137. 06[00:38] * +Sagittis cringes. "Sorry bout that. Hoped Sour would have taken it down... We need to get her better bullets."
  138. 06[00:38] * +Slag_Heap blinks and keeps an eye on the surroundings. "If anypony's out there, they probably heard that. We need to get moving."
  139. 06[00:38] * +Sour_Grape blinks and looks back at Sagittis, "Jeeze, ya didn't need'a over kill it... and mah bullets'er fine, it's just a tough bastard that occasionaly explodes."
  140. 06[00:39] * +Dust_Off nods, "That we can look into. Armor piercing variants. I should be able to make reloads, if we can find a bench." She rushes up to the robopony to see what she can salvage, getting out Ammy's old tool bag.
  141. 06[00:39] * +Roy_Calbeck maintains cover across the area, just in case.
  142. 01[00:40] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off finds within the robot enough salvagable scrap to constitue one heap of Scrap_Metal, as well as the intact spark battery.
  143. 06[00:40] * +Sagittis pats Sour_Grape on the back. "Hear that. You can turn that thing into a can opener."
  144. 01[00:41] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Upon reaching the robot, Dust_Off can hear a strange, faint whining coming from within one of the buildings nearby, the pegasexy can spot one of the doors leading to the sounds, just slightly ajar.
  145. 06[00:42] * +Dust_Off takes the scrap metal (not a filly, stay away, Colt Hanson) and the spark battery. She looks at the building. "Contact. Noise in the building. Let's try to avoid." She goes back to the group and checks her map for their location.
  146. 01[00:43] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off is also able to successfully pry apart with percission and care, 4 intact gem packs.
  147. 06[00:43] * +Sour_Grape wants to go over to the building and fight the robots to show she doesn't need better ammo, "Fine, armour pericing, maybe I jus' needa better gun. THat shoots fire."
  148. 06[00:45] * +Sagittis reloads his cannon. "Well, Slag has one if you want to get it from him." He looks to the building. "I would rather not have something at our backs personally."
  149. 06[00:45] * +Slag_Heap keeps his eyes open, sweeping the street and keeping them covered.
  150. 06[00:46] * +Roy_Calbeck scans across the building over the top of his rifle, looking for any possible bogeys.
  151. 01[00:46] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Neither Roy_Calbeck or Slag_Heap see for the moment any potential hostiles.
  152. 06[00:46] * +Dust_Off looks at Sagittis, "We need to get to Mercy. This had stood for a long time, with a wandering Pre-War robopony. It will stay put."
  153. 06[00:49] * +Roy_Calbeck nods to the pegasus, heading off a bit to retake his point position.
  154. 06[00:50] * +Slag_Heap keeps marching with the others, keeping his eyes open.
  155. 06[00:50] * +Sour_Grape totally walks backwards in case of attack

On the right, they see an empty bench with a suitcase laying under said bench, open and devoid of anything inside. There is also the remains of a metal post that was next to the bench, but whatever it was that was in it's place is missing. There is also about two garbage cans near the buildings that Dust_Off and Sagittis were currently at. The road leading to Mercy stretches on.

  181. 01[01:03] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Inside two of the newsstands, besides illegible, ancient pre-war newspapers, long devoid of it's contents due to weather damage, the stallion can see a magazine, one with a faded purple Unicorn with a gnarly pair of shaded goggles, giving a big smile that reads on the cover, 'Magical Weapons of Wonder!' the other comic a noir-esque cover that reads, 'Legitimate Crime Stories'. a generic black and white pony with a detective hat looking around some street corner.
  182. 01[01:06] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 As Sagittis enters the establishment, he the flufflecolt cannot see much of anything past the lighting that filters in from the open door... what he can see that it appears to be the remains of some ancient pre-war resturant, as four tables with various poorly conditioned chairs are strewn about. There is a metallic reflective counter that he can see as well as old advertisement displays of various foods and delicacies once eaten, though the pictures are nearly faded with the words completely non-readable.

There is also a door leading undoubtedly to the back of the resturant, with a large crack running down the threshold.

  198. 01[01:16] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Shaking and rolling he bottle into the middle of the resturant, as the whimpering ceased once Slag_Heap neared the doors, the flufflcolt makes his way further into the structure... seeing above him the ceiling having many various cracks, though no sunlight comes through. Roy_Calbeck can observe through one of the dusted, dingy windows... having to actually use a fetlock or magic to wipe the grime away, the zebra foal... along with Dust_Off, making their way into the small establishment. Large faded painting on one of the walls reads, 'Crusty's Pizza Joint'. What the crap is a pizza? Maybe the pegasexy would know... she seemed to know about strange pre-war things... Sour_Grape also entering sees much of the same as the others. There is some more scuffling, much louder now, when Sagittis gets close to the metallic service counter.

  200. 06[01:17] * +Roy_Calbeck nods to Dust_Off and searches the outside garbage bins. Now THIS is where telekinesis REALLY comes in hoofy...

  202. 06[01:18] * +Dust_Off looks back at the others. She smiles to see Slag_Heap, taking watch. She looks back to Sagittis and stops as directed.

  204. 01[01:20] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Peering around the counter, the zebra colt is able to see a small mangy dog, large pocks of fur missing and revealing it's skin underneath, much like most in the wasteland. Curled up in a corner and licking a noticable searing mark on it's left foreleg, which is furless and blackened, the terrified animal stares at Sagittis, giving out whimpers of stress at the sight of the colt, trying to back futiley further into the corner... obviously failing at bypassing the solid wall.
  205. 06[01:22] * +Sagittis scoots up to the dog, holding out a hoof and gesturing for it to come to him. "Come on. I'm not going to hurt you." He gets an odd sense of a name... dog meat...
  206. 01[01:24] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 As Sagittis gets closer to the dog and holds his hoof out, the frightened creature shakes visibly, but leans it's nose forward and sniffing the flufflecolt tentaively. For whatever reason, it seems to be eased enough to be around the zebra colt, as it gives the hoof a small licking, the animal then looking up to the foal with pleading eyes.... He can also spot a small leather collar around it's neck... however, if it had a tag, it's missing.
  207. 06[01:27] * +Sagittis gently pets the dog with a hoof and pulls out one of the bits of ant meat, offering it to the hound. "Here you go." He waves Dust_Off to come a little closer.

Also within one of the cans near the shops, holds two empty Sparkle-cola bottles, with the other, having a carton of cigarettes?! Who throws away an entire carton of cigarettes?! The trash recepticle near the street also contains a strange brightly blue fluorescently colored Sparkle-Cola bottle that reads, 'Sparkle-Cola RAD!' as well as a full bottle of Sunrise Sarsparilla.
  211. 06[01:30] * +Roy_Calbeck sifts through garbage piles, cheered by his finds. If he was a scavver, this haul would set him up for a week!

  214. 06[01:35] * +Sagittis guesses an angry pony trying to get another to stop smoking. The colt scoots up to gently hold the hound so Dust_Off can come up un pounced.

  219. 01[01:36] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Once consuming the entire meat, the mangy dog looks back up to Sagittis, it's tail wagging about happily then licks the colt's face repeatedly when he hugs the animal. Shifting about, the canine goes to stand up then lets out a sharp yelping, then looks down, whimpering and licking it's right foreleg that was blackened.

  221. 01[01:38] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Once peering around the corner, Dust_Off can also see the sight of the animal... noticing it's foreleg that was blackened, was the result of a low wattage magical weapon beam. Ouch... it looked painful for sure still.

Once the pegasus mare gets closer to the animal, it lets out a rather scared, but cute whimpering, trying to backaway, but still remains in Sagittis' hold.

  231. 01[01:47] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The dog looks over to Sagittis when he speaks and stares dolefully with it's big terrified eyes into the colts own. Somehow... the creature seems to get the message and turns to Dust_Off, leaning forward in an attempt to sniffle the pegasus' legs and hooves.

  233. 06[01:48] * +Dust_Off smiles at the dog and then frowns towards the door, "Shush, Grape. None that." She turns to the dog. "There, there. I'm alright. I'm going to help you.

She's a doctor, damnit! Not a vetenarian!

  263. 01[02:01] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The dog follows obediantly with Sagittis, walking very close to the zebra colt, as it eyes the other party members, save for Dust_Off, waringly. Upon spotting Sour_Grape, the animal just tilts it's head and stares at the nearly identical sized pony.

  318. 06[02:31] * +Roy_Calbeck gets back up, smiling. "Thanks! Now let's see if there's anythin' good in there..."
  319. 06[02:32] * +Slag_Heap nods. "It's what I'm here for."
  320. 06[02:32] * +Slag_Heap looks at Sagittis. "Hey, dogs have an accute sense of smell, right?"
  321. 06[02:33] * +Roy_Calbeck opens the mailbox door and starts sorting through the contents.
  322. 06[02:33] * +Sagittis nods to Slag_Heap. "Most, yeah. Why?"
  323. 01[02:33] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Inside is mainly... as one would probably expect, full of letters and mail... safe to say it's intended recipients are long passed. Strangely there is a frag grenade, an injector of rage... and a pair of shades? Embroidered along the frame of the shades reads, 'Deal with it'. Dust_Off attempts to open the door going to the back of the pizzeria, but finds that even though the knob turns, the door refuses to budge.
  324. 06[02:34] * +Slag_Heap hmmms. "Think I should hold off on smoking until we're outside?"
  325. 01[02:34] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Slag_Heap is outside, as the mailbox was stated to be outside as well.
  326. 06[02:34] * +Roy_Calbeck blinks. "Somepony musta stashed this stuff in here in passing. Hey Slag, you want these shades here?"
  327. 06[02:34] * +Dust_Off narrows her eyes at the door and tries to buck the door with her inconsiderable strength.
  328. 06[02:35] * +Slag_Heap is outside. "Think I should hold off on smoking around him?"
  329. 01[02:36] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off bucks the door hard, causing the crack next to it to be heard snapping and extending further up into the ceiling. The door seems to rattle against something, but remains in place. Dusty shakes slightly from the recoil of the shock in a comical fashion, until it finally disappates.
  330. 06[02:36] * +Roy_Calbeck takes the Rage for himself, then examines the grenade. "Maybe this plus that bottle would do th' trick..." Getting no immediate response from Slag, he trots inside with the grenade and shades for Dusty to look at.
  331. 06[02:37] * +Sagittis nods to Slag_Heap. "I wouldn't smoke around the dog at all myself." He looks over to Dust_Off bucking. "Need a hoof?"
  332. 06[02:38] * +Dust_Off has a pair of aviator shades on that she looking over the rim on. She looks to see if there's a passout window she can crawl through or look through. "No, I'm afraid something's wrong with the building.

  334. 01[02:38] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Sadly, no window of such exists.
  335. 06[02:40] * +Dust_Off sighs, "Let's leave the back. Building's unsure." She looks around for a register in the front before they go.
  336. 06[02:42] * +Sagittis shrugs and looks at Sour_Grape. "You okay?"
  337. 01[02:42] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Indeed a register exists on the counter top, closed.
  338. 06[02:42] * +Roy_Calbeck brings Dust_Off the grenade. "Any luck on that door?"
  339. 06[02:42] * +Slag_Heap nods at Sagittis. "I hoope you never smoke at all." He looks at Roy_Calbeck. "We got another door to unlock?
  340. 06[02:42] * +Sour_Grape blinks and shrugs at Sagittis, "Ah'm fine, just don't know why we're wastin' time an potion' an shit on dinner there." She motions to the dog
  341. 06[02:43] * +Dust_Off takes the grenade, on her way to the register. "No, and kick the door made it sound like the building is unstable."
  342. 01[02:43] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 When Sagittis approaches Sour_Grape, Manyoya hides itself behind the colt's head, attempting to obscufate it's view from the filly again.
  343. [02:43] <+Dust_Off> "Leave the door, Slag."
  344. 06[02:44] * +Sagittis reaches up to pet the dog. "Come on Sour. Even Raiders keep dogs from time to time. Good hunters and guards."
  345. 06[02:44] * +Slag_Heap pouts. "I like kicking them in..."
  346. 06[02:44] * +Roy_Calbeck looks up at the ceiling. "It's not what goes in that's th' problem, it's what might come down."
  347. 06[02:44] * +Sour_Grape "We, they. They don't coddle'em an give'em health potions. B'sides, they're tasty."
  348. 01[02:45] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Roy_Calbeck definitely sees the ceiling has very noticable cracks... with the crack that was initally small next to the doorframe leading to the back of he resturant much more apparent.
  349. 06[02:46] * +Roy_Calbeck begins backing out of the shop. "Eeeyeaah, think we should get goin' here."
  350. 06[02:46] * +Dust_Off reaches and tries to open the register.
  351. 01[02:47] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The register opens to reveal a measly three pre-war bits.
  352. 06[02:48] * +Sagittis shrugs. "To each their own."
  353. 06[02:48] * +Dust_Off takes the bits. "Okay, let's get back on the road to Mercy." She starts to head back towards the door, "Sagittis, I noticed the collar on the pup."
  354. 01[02:48] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Oh! Also a coupon for a discounted medium, hay and ground pepper pizza from this very location! Score! Oh wait...
  355. 06[02:49] * +Sour_Grape clears her throat, "Lets get goin' fore more robot-bitches show up."
  356. 06[02:49] * +Sagittis nods to Dust_Off. "Yeah. Already trained." He heads off with his new puppy. Oh, hey, Slag."
  357. 06[02:50] * +Roy_Calbeck is outside by now and waiting for the others.
  358. 01[02:50] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The puppy gives Sagittis a licking behind his head in response to the affectionate attention. Giving a sharp yip afterwards.
  359. 06[02:51] * +Dust_Off nods, following colt. She figured he knew what it meant, but they'd deal with that if it came. She uses the map and compass to orient herself back on the trail.
  360. 06[02:52] * +Slag_Heap follows the group. "Heading to Mercy?"
  361. 06[02:52] * +Roy_Calbeck once again takes point a couple dozen lengths ahead of the main group, on the road for Mercy.
  362. [02:53] <+Dust_Off> "Certainly, Slag." She sighs and wishes she had a pencil to make notes on the map.
  363. 06[02:55] * +Slag_Heap nods. He walks up to join Roy_Calbeck on point. "How far is it now?"
  364. 06[02:57] * +Roy_Calbeck shrugs at the big lug. "Cap's got map."
  365. 01[02:58] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The route is rather direct at this point, with easily identifible land marks to help guide them to the right way, even without the presence of a map and compass. But still, why not use such items? Easily back on track, the group ventures through the residential district, several buildings and streets dividing them from the inner city and other districts that had warned the group unassured death should they venture those route... But they're the Mareizona Irregulars! No force could stop this motley band of vigilantes! Night time fast approaches, as they get near the edge of the city ruins now... being able to tell, as past the street the reach, they notice a severe lack of structures going further down the asphalt road... the road itself, once more becoming more and more sparse. Around their immediate vicinity are more houses, the one story, uniformed ones they saw earlier... but none looked sound enough to risk entering... there is a particular bit of foundation, where a house once stood, that still retains one of it's walls however... strangely a couple of sofas with a table remain... including a fireplace with empty tins and packages of various pre-war food littered near it.
  366. 06[02:59] * +Slag_Heap nod and keeps marching.
  367. 06[03:00] * +Sour_Grape figures that place was a recent campsight
  368. 06[03:01] * +Slag_Heap hums an old army song to himself, hankering for a cigar.
  369. 06[03:01] * +Roy_Calbeck does likewise, casting a look back at Dust_Off as the crew moves past.
  370. 06[03:03] * +Sagittis maintains rear guard with his hound.
  371. 06[03:03] * +Dust_Off looks at Roy, "Suggestion, Gunny?"
  372. 06[03:04] * +Roy_Calbeck shakes his head. "I wouldn't stop here, ma'am. Nevermind that it's a regularly-used site, an' we dunno who uses it, but there's no overhead cover."
  373. 06[03:06] * +Dust_Off nods, "My thoughts as well. We should keep going." She looks at her map in the waning light see how far they were."
  374. 06[03:07] * +Roy_Calbeck moves out, picking up the pace slightly in hopes of finding better shelter before nightfall.
  375. 01[03:07] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Dust_Off notes they're still at least a potential couple of hours from the closest settlement... of which being Howti... lest they decide to deviate from the path and head straight to Mercy, however doing so, would put them at risk of being exposed to the wilds at the dead of night.
  376. 06[03:08] * +Slag_Heap keeps walking. "Anypony got any form of light? Lighter aint gonna do shit soon..."
  377. 06[03:08] * +Dust_Off frowns, "Howti is close...but one of the slavers we caught in Dune was from there. So it is like a wretched hive of scum and villiany."
  378. 06[03:08] * +Sagittis does not mind dead night wilds, but others are understandably more skittish.
  379. 06[03:08] * +Sour_Grape "We can pretend ta be scum an' villians ta get in for tha night."
  380. 06[03:08] * +Roy_Calbeck looks back over his shoulder. "Got my horn fer light, if ya don't mind me bein' an even bigger target at night than I am durin' th' day..."
  381. 06[03:09] * +Slag_Heap keeps walking. "Got night vision?"
  382. [03:09] <+Roy_Calbeck> "Yep."
  383. 06[03:09] * +Sagittis ponders. "Wel, if it is a slaver town, we could exterminate Howti. Or, if we want to blend in, I could play as a slave to one of you."
  384. 06[03:10] * +Sour_Grape blinks at Sagittis, "Ah was jus' kiddin' even if they are slaves they'll accept caps an it ain't like we're stayin'."
  385. 06[03:10] * +Slag_Heap nods. "Aight. Well I guess we're good then."
  386. 06[03:11] * +Roy_Calbeck snorts at a passing funk on the breeze. "Besides, they might only be slaver-tolerant. Still, expect th' worst an' hope fer th' best I suppose..."
  387. 06[03:13] * +Dust_Off smirks, "try to not cause trouble. We need to get to Mercy. We can considers this a scouting mission. If we want, we can come back later to deal with it. Mercy is paramount."
  388. 06[03:14] * +Roy_Calbeck nods, grinning, as he picks up to a half-trot. "Yes, ma'am."
  389. 01[03:21] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Continuing on, undaunted by the creeping nightsky, the party follow on their path, using the occassional reflective bumper on the sparse, nearly non-existant asphalt road, a sign the group can see coming up, though with the dead of night, they cannot read it until getting close.
  390. 06[03:22] * +Sour_Grape can't read it either way, "Whats the sign say?"
  391. 06[03:23] * +Dust_Off walks along in the middle of the group, having put away the map for lack of light. "Hold on let's get closer and we'll see."
  392. [03:23] <+Roy_Calbeck> "Hornlamp, ma'am?"
  393. 06[03:25] * +Dust_Off nods, "Go ahead, Gunny."
  394. 06[03:26] * +Roy_Calbeck flares his horn to bright white life, here in the middle of the desert night.
  395. 06[03:28] * +Dust_Off tries to read the sign by the Light of Calendil.
  396. 01[03:29] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Upon reaching and lighting up the area with his horn, the group that can actually read, see that the battered ancient pre-war sign has been written over it in large black marker, 'You are approaching Howti. Steel Rangers and Ghouls unwelcomed.' with a crude picture pictures of both a Steel Ranger helmet and Ghoul head being crossed out, like a no smoking sign.
  397. 06[03:30] * +Sagittis snorts. "Charming. Eh, nothing about zebras on there."
  398. 06[03:30] * +Sour_Grape is blind!
  399. 06[03:30] * +Roy_Calbeck smiles. "I'd hafta say that's a plus."
  400. 06[03:32] * +Dust_Off nods, "Yes, it is." Taking care not to look at Roy, She looks around them at their surroundings.
  401. 01[03:37] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Their surroundings fairly difficult to observe at such a late hour with sparse lighting... mainly using only the faint twinkling of the stars above for a source of light beyond Roy_Calbeck's horn, the group can only make out in the distant horizon further ahead, what appears to be the beginnings of a hill or mountain... not exactly certain which to either... Various croppings of stone and rock also outlaying the region, though scattered and not quite close to the road they were currently on. Pulling up the rear, Sagittis is the only one that can hear a faint shuffling sound behind him.
  402. 06[03:38] * +Sour_Grape stares at all the pretty lights
  403. 06[03:39] * +Slag_Heap can't see anything specific. He's old!
  404. 01[03:40] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The stars indeed are pretty... Manyoya shifts on Sagittis' back and can be hear letting out a series of loud yippings in an excited manner, directed behind the group.
  405. 06[03:40] * +Dust_Off looks at the desert. Gosh it was so breath takingly pretty....in a dirty hopeless way. Maybe some should paint it...maybe someone would hire the Irregulars to protect them while they painted.
  406. 06[03:40] * +Roy_Calbeck hefts his service rifle in its magical levitation field. "Welp, better get... hey, Sagi, Manny there sniffin' a wildcat?"
  407. 06[03:41] * +Slag_Heap spins around with his equipment ready.
  408. 06[03:42] * +Sagittis blinks and looks over his shoulder. "What is it, Manyoya?" He turns around and starts walking backwards, scanning the gloom.

  412. 06[03:43] * +Roy_Calbeck always hated wildcats... centuries of inbred housecat genes, unleashed upon a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of Taint and radiation and food with its own poisons to bear... remembering his last encounter with one of the monstrous things, the unicorn finds himself shivering at something more than the cool night air.
  413. 06[03:44] * +Dust_Off still critically oblivious, "Very nice swath of blues in this night sky..."
  414. 01[03:46] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Turning around, Slag_Heap and Sagittis can see a shrouded figure behind their party, slowly making it's way towards them... though it stops when they turn, Manyoya barking at the figure and... seemingly around as well, climbing on Sagittis's shoulders and looking over the colt's head to continuously yip like crazy.
  415. 06[03:46] * +Sour_Grape "Shut that damn thing up."
  416. 06[03:46] * +Slag_Heap frowns deeply. "Identify yourself!" he barks.
  417. 01[03:46] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The figure is somewhat close... about 15 feet away.
  418. 06[03:46] * +Roy_Calbeck turns, pointing both horn and rifle in that direction.
  419. 06[03:47] * +Sour_Grape turns back, annoyed at the yipping and barking
  420. 06[03:47] * +Sagittis steps another 5 feet back, a nicer cannon range. "Good dog, Manyoya. Now, hush."
  421. 06[03:48] * +Dust_Off turns away from the landscape to be and frees her MRR. She takes the air and looks around.
  422. 01[03:48] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The shrouded figure speaks out in a hushed tone, something very quiet... but with the dog yipping still, nobody in the party can clearly hear what it's speaking. Manyoya complies a little too late, shutting up, but giving small whimpers as it backs off and climbs further down Sagittis' back.
  423. 06[03:51] * +Roy_Calbeck looks around, trying to spot if the surprise visitor has any friends hanging about.
  424. [03:51] <+Dust_Off> "Speak up, please. We are the Mareizona Irregulars. We're not looking for trouble. " Without profit of course.
  425. 01[03:54] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The shrouded equine figure lifts it's head up some, though with the dead of night it makes it difficult to see what it was exactly... the only thing the group could tell was that it was undeniably a pony, as it speaks in a masculine voice, "Vos irritaverunt in iniuriam turba." loud enough for all to hear... even those that were... so utterly oblivious.
  426. 06[03:55] * +Sour_Grape "Equestrian motherfuck! DO YOU SPEAK IT!"
  427. 01[03:59] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 The shrouded pony figure gives a rather grim chuckling, then responds to Sour_Grape's words with a sneering tone, "It means, You have all angered the wrong ponies." being seen reaching under it's garments, it adds loudly, "Sinite in dolore!" With that, the cracking of gunfire rings out from the groups sides...
  428. 06[04:01] * +Sour_Grape licks her lips and reaches for her shotgun. She thinks it is them who were wrong to anger her. Dramatic cliffhanger
  429. 01[04:01] <@SilentBrony|GM> 3 Unforunately, the end results of what is to follow with this surprise ambushing, will yet to be seen, as we must draw to another close in this telling of the daily goings of the Mareizona wastes. Will our gutsy group be able to prevail in this scenario? We will find out in the next installment of Star Group, Fallout Equestria!
