CS Miriam Schmidt

Miriam is the illegitimate daughter of a mercenary mech pilot, born to his mistress in Salzburg, Austria. From a young age, Miriam was curious about her father, though her mother spoke little to her daughter about him. During her school years, compulsory physical testing (instituted to note prospective pilot recruits from the general population) revealed something astonishing; she was a natural at piloting. Miriam went through their various screening programs, gaining valuable skills in the process, but at a cost: she was to join the Austrian military at age 18 and pilot for them. Seeking a way out of her obligation (and intending to follow her dad's footsteps), she skipped the country at age 16 and fell in with various mercenary groups, earning enough money and scrap piloting the mechs they had laying around to buy her own, personalized mech, Wallenstein. Those obligations tied up, she's on her own again at 17, determined to make the most of her talents for herself and herself alone.

Miriam is 5'3" tall, with light brown hair and a tan complexion. Her features are rounded. Her mech, Wallenstein, is white with red accents, and blue eyes. Her personal insignia is three vertical muskets, bayonets attached, in white on a shield of red.
