  1. >Pearl gets a present she loves from Anon
  2.
  3.
  4. >It's a perfect day at the beach.
  5. >Light ocean breeze, warm sun, cool sea spray. Absolutely flawless.
  6. >You only wait a few moments before that familiar light fills the windows of the house beneath the great temple.
  7. >2 whole minutes before she said to meet her at the exact spot you're standing.
  8. >Damn she's prompt.
  9. >She exits the quaint kitchen door with a titter and musical hum. She turns to see you standing down in the sand and lights up like the full moon.
  10. >"Oh, Anon! You're early."
  11. >When she bubbles like this she always seems to glide across the ground.
  12. >She gracefully flutters down the steps to you. Her hands reach out and take yours in the soft embrace of her alabaster palms.
  13. >She leans in for a quick affectionate peck on the lips, quickly withdrawing with a modest smile and that alien robin's egg blush.
  14. >"It's good to see you, Anon. I was hoping you'd-Oh? What's this?"
  15. >You've produced the small box you'd brought with you from your jacket. A simple, elegant white box with blue silk ribbon to tie it.
  16. >You didn't want her to have to tear through a bunch of noisy paper.
  17. >You knew she'd deplore the mess.
  18. >"ANON! Why you shouldn't have, I-"
  19. >Even with her flustered reaction the smile never leaves her face nor does that icy blue glow across her cheeks.
  20. >"I haven't gotten you anything I just..."
  21. >You just smile, gently pressing the package into her hands. She stares down at it for a while before her eyes meet yours with an outpouring of wordless warmth and gratitude.
  22. >"Anon I-oh! I should...probably open this shouldn't I?"
  23. >Her nervous laugh makes your heart sing. That smile you've been sporting cracks your face into a full grin.
  24. >"It's so carefully done. I don't want to ruin it."
  25. >You knew she wouldn't.
  26. >Her nimble fingers make short work of your simple square knot ribbon.
  27. >She even wraps the silken strands around her wrist to keep them from being blown across the beach.
  28. >She lifts the lid with a balanced hand. It slides off the box with a soft gasp, finally freed of the body beneath it.
  29. >"Anon...I-"
  30. >You reach into the box, pulling out the pair of glittering silver slippers. Underneath the shoes rests a layer of milky white cloth. Your other hand dives in, sliding out the fabrics to reveal them to be a set of lady's silken gloves and ballerina leggings. Both just the subtlest shade lighter than her porcelain skin.
  31. >Her eyes are locked on them. They sparkle as she drinks in the beauty of these seemingly simple gifts.
  32. >You know why she's agape.
  33. >Because you remembered.
  34. >Your first time out together you'd went to see a play.
  35. >Othello. It seemed a tad heavy handed for your first romp but the discussion afterward about the cultures of your respective peoples was so enlightening.
  36. >You two had passed a dance studio on your return trip. In the window there lay the very slippers and garnishments you know presented her with.
  37. >She had said they were some of the finest work she'd seen done by human hands.
  38. >Now here they were, in YOUR hands.
  39. >She breaks herself of the trance the shoes had placed her in to fill your world with her gaze.
  40. >Those eyes say so much to you.
  41. >'Thank you'
  42. >'I love you'
  43. >'I know you'
  44. >'You know me'
  45. >Her verbal response doesn't come out. She seems to try and find words but quickly discovers that her arms wrapped behind your head is all she's able to muster.
  46. >You're peppered with tingling kisses across your cheek and neck as she smothers you with her wordless doting affection.
  47. >Finally she stops, pressing her forehead against yours with her eyes contentedly closed.
  48. >Her arms are draped behind you still and the warmth of her breath down your face and chest is only exceeded by the pulsating heat from her gem.
  49. >"I love them." She coos in a tentative whisper.
  50. >Her eyes open and fill your gaze again. The moment seems to stretch for an eternity.
  51. >Your lips meet hers again. This time much longer than before.
  52. >With her eyes closed tight and her embrace tensing ever so slightly you can tell she's afraid.
  53. >Of being so forward.
  54. >Of making her desires so clear.
  55. >Of saying...
  56. >"I love you..."
  57. >It hangs for a moment. Your eyes stay locked.
  58. >Yours wide.
  59. >Hers pleading but hopeful.
  60. >You take her around the waist, pulling her to you.
  61. >The innocent gifts fall to the sand at your feet.
  62. >You let her know all she needs with your embrace. Your kiss.
  63. >You accept her. All of her. Her insecurities. Her fears. Her flaws and her follies.
  64. >All of it.
  65. >Her love.
  66. >You accept her love.
  67.
  68. "WOOO! HEY, GET A ROOM YOU TWO!"
  69. >...
  70. >Goddamn Amythest.
