  4. [2014-10-22 21:46:11]<EchoesOfDeath> The first thing that becomes evident is the brick tower, topped by a dull crystal, like an old bell of a cathedral. The tall walls were topped by watchtowers with crystal domes, also dull. The style mimicked old Baltimare buildings, but took shape as an unique construction past abandoned grassfields and shacks.
  5. [2014-10-22 21:48:01]<EchoesOfDeath> The chariot wasn't too far now, and Aegis took a small tube from her belt, a piece of firework.
  6. [2014-10-22 21:49:08]* Star_Spotter flies with her, lookoing to the firework. "Signal that we're here?"
  7. [2014-10-22 21:51:35]<EchoesOfDeath> "That's right." She fires it up and a smoky pop is left behind them.
  8. [2014-10-22 21:52:51]<EchoesOfDeath> More than one hour had past since Backlash left to deliver the letter. Now there wasn't much left to do but wait. Mr. Bill takes a glass of whisky for himself, offering some to Golden Leaf, who decides to join him.

  10. [2014-10-22 22:05:55]<EchoesOfDeath> You hear shots as armed ponies position themselves along the walls to clear nearby infected. There is a faded marker of a runway close to one of the walls. Monochrome lands it there along with Star_Spotter
  11. [2014-10-22 22:06:18]<EchoesOfDeath> Backlash finally returns, finding the others still back at the bookstore
  12. [2014-10-22 22:07:36]* Backlash calls, "I'm back, everypony!" as she gets inside.
  13. [2014-10-22 22:08:25]* Swift_Hurddle waves, "Hey Miss Backlash, welcome back. Still waiting for our ride to come back for us"
  14. [2014-10-22 22:08:47]* Cambiance nods. "Hello."
  15. [2014-10-22 22:09:04]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder gives Backlash a friendly smile. "How are you?" He scans over her.
  16. [2014-10-22 22:10:38]<Backlash> "Pretty alright!" She sighs and finds someplace to crash, exhausted from her journey. "Could be better, but... pretty alright." She notices his look and arches a brow. "If you wanna look me over, gimme a minute to catch my breath. Had a li'l close encounter, but it went smooth."
  17. [2014-10-22 22:10:58]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis helps the group of ponies out of the flying chariot. The tall metal walls aren't too far now. A guard pegasus flies down to talk to Aegis.
  18. [2014-10-22 22:11:21]* Star_Spotter smiles as she looks around. "So where's the doc?"
  19. [2014-10-22 22:14:34]<EchoesOfDeath> "He should be inside. He helps checking up the new ponies." Monochrome says. "You can go ahead, I can find my way back."
  20. [2014-10-22 22:15:29]<EchoesOfDeath> "I can wait." Finder nods.
  21. [2014-10-22 22:16:50]* Star_Spotter nods as she starts to make her way to try and find her ex
  22. [2014-10-22 22:20:39]* Backlash takes a minute to catch her breath and relax. She pulls off the saddlebags and sets them aside; "Alright, Finder, come on over."
  23. [2014-10-22 22:23:57]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis, the earth pony mare, nods to the pegasus, who flies back to the wall. She turns to Star_Spotter and the others. "Before we can give you proper quarters, you need to go through quarantine."
  24. [2014-10-22 22:24:25]<EchoesOfDeath> Meanwhile, Monochrome the young pegasus buck flies his way back.
  25. [2014-10-22 22:24:38]* Star_Spotter nods to Aegis. "understandable."
  26. [2014-10-22 22:25:33]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder Peeper, the tall unicorn stallion approaches Backlash, taking a good look over her.
  27. [2014-10-22 22:27:00]* Backlash rolls from side to side and rolls her eyes, smirking as he looks over the more sensitive bits. "Jus' say the word when you've had your fill."
  28. [2014-10-22 22:27:47]<EchoesOfDeath> Rosebee shrinks a bit as the guards guide you along the tall metal doors, towards a large holding cell with benches and manacles. There are also pillows and small bags of snacks along them.
  29. [2014-10-22 22:28:33]* Star_Spotter pets Rosebee lightly as she walks, looking around and moving. "Do you want some snacks Rosebee?"
  30. [2014-10-22 22:29:09]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder chuckles. "Don't worry ma'am, I'm a professional." He steps away. "I also happen to like my job sometimes."
  31. [2014-10-22 22:30:50]<EchoesOfDeath> "I guess..." Rosebee moves along, leaning a bit against her teacher
  32. [2014-10-22 22:31:23]* Star_Spotter nods to her and gets some snacks
  33. [2014-10-22 22:31:51]<Backlash> "Uh-huh." She curls up again and eyes him faux-warily. "So... what's the official strategy on dealin' with those things? I just been killin' 'em so far, but that's more like survival than for fun."
  34. [2014-10-22 22:32:05]<EchoesOfDeath> From the hallway further away, a doctor comes dressed in worn scrubs, somepony Star_Spotter knows well.
  35. [2014-10-22 22:32:36]* Star_Spotter blinks as she looks down the hall at the doctor, not approaching, waiting to see what he does
  36. [2014-10-22 22:36:25]<EchoesOfDeath> "We... kill them also, out of necessity. Too many of us have been lost in this, and rounding them up is too dangerous. Right now, we are more concerned about the ponies who are still in good conditions."

  38. [2014-10-22 22:39:21]* Swift_Hurddle talks with Cambiance
  39. [2014-10-22 22:39:35]* Swift_Hurddle "So what all should we pack that hasnt already?"
  40. [2014-10-22 22:39:56]* Swift_Hurddle gos through his bags, "We can probably get rid of the maintinace keys from the office right?"
  41. [2014-10-22 22:39:59]* Backlash swallows hard, her voice losing a bit of its usual energy. "I hope we find a cure. It's just... it's real bad. ...I don't wanna say they're dead, but they clearly ain't the ponies they used to be anymore. How do you even fix that?" She wraps her hooves around her hips, protectively covering her cutie mark.
  42. [2014-10-22 22:40:41]<EchoesOfDeath> "Star! You are okay!" He looks surprised, then smiles, trotting to her but stopping halfway.
  43. [2014-10-22 22:41:08]<Cambiance> "Hmm... I'm not sure. We don't have too many worldly possessions. You are probably right about the keys though. I don't have much to keep besides my machete."
  44. [2014-10-22 22:41:22]* Star_Spotter smiles happily. "Yes yes I'm fine, I came here with my students, the nice guards or whatever they are are helping us
  45. [2014-10-22 22:42:09]<EchoesOfDeath> Meanwhile the guards are locking the manacles around the forehooves of Rosebee and Raven.
  46. [2014-10-22 22:42:42]<EchoesOfDeath> A flying chariot finally returns to the bookstore. Monochrome on its lead.
  47. [2014-10-22 22:42:43]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Right, keeping the axe and pocketing some of those snack cakes.... definately need my school jacket and hat, can hardly keep my main in check now. Needed a cut before all this anyway and now its only getting worse. Oh your taking that music stuff right?"
  48. [2014-10-22 22:43:20]* Cambiance recalls the equipment. "Oh yeah. Nearly forgot about it in all the commotion. Hehe. Yeah, I'll definitely snag that."
  49. [2014-10-22 22:45:58]* Swift_Hurddle smiles "Remebered it just in time didnt we?"
  50. [2014-10-22 22:46:27]<EchoesOfDeath> "I'm glad they could find you. Outside is just so terrible these days." He floats a flashlight pen to Star_Spotter's eyes and lights it.
  51. [2014-10-22 22:46:42]* Cambiance grins. "Totally."
  52. [2014-10-22 22:47:04]* Star_Spotter blinks for a moment with a light in her eyes but she smiles and lets him work
  53. [2014-10-22 22:47:23]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis gets manacled and gives her shotgun to another guard. "Aaand again the boring part."
  54. [2014-10-22 22:48:27]<EchoesOfDeath> The guard then proceeds to Star. "Weapons please."
  55. [2014-10-22 22:48:41]<EchoesOfDeath> Another one approaches to manacle her.
  56. [2014-10-22 22:49:21]<EchoesOfDeath> "Hey guys, I'm back." Monochrome says, entering the bookstore
  57. [2014-10-22 22:51:53]<Backlash> "Hey..." She perks up a little as she sees who it is, but she still looks a little frightened.
  58. [2014-10-22 22:52:23]* Star_Spotter blinks a bit. "What's with the manacles?"
  59. [2014-10-22 22:52:29]* Star_Spotter gives up her various guns
  60. [2014-10-22 22:53:04]<EchoesOfDeath> Dr. Construct pulls the light away and move to Rosebee. "No signs of eye decay." He calls.
  61. [2014-10-22 22:55:44]<EchoesOfDeath> "Commissioner's orders." Aegis says.
  62. [2014-10-22 22:56:55]<EchoesOfDeath> Sinew frowns grimly. "It's so that if somepony undergoes changes unexpectedly they can't hurt the others." His tired eyes seem more pronounced. "No signs of eye decay." He calls again.
  63. [2014-10-22 22:58:29]<EchoesOfDeath> "Well, about time." Vesper says.
  64. [2014-10-22 22:58:53]<EchoesOfDeath> "Lets get going everyone." Finder says to the others.
  65. [2014-10-22 22:59:04]* Star_Spotter nods to him. "Alright. Sinew, well how long will it take?"
  66. [2014-10-22 23:00:23]* Cambiance nods and begins to run off to get her sound board. "Just one moment. Need to grab something real quick."
  67. [2014-10-22 23:01:48]<EchoesOfDeath> "24 hours. If nothing changes in this period of time, you can go in." Sinew says. "I'm sorry for that."
  68. [2014-10-22 23:01:55]* Backlash slings her bags on again, and also takes her knife. She reaches under the seat as well and produces the book she looted from the house a while back. "I think I'm good. Travel light... So I'm flyin' us, right? Me 'n' you, Mono?"
  69. [2014-10-22 23:02:31]<EchoesOfDeath> "That's fine by me!" Monochrome smiles.
  70. [2014-10-22 23:03:43]<EchoesOfDeath> Mr. Bill floats a luggage about his size along.
  71. [2014-10-22 23:04:16]* Swift_Hurddle stands and adjusts his hat, "Ready when everypony ells is!"
  72. [2014-10-22 23:04:22]* Backlash takes a breath. "Somepony hang onto my stuff while we're flyin', then. I been luggin' this stuff around for too long..."
  73. [2014-10-22 23:04:48]* Cambiance rushes back, things packed. "Let'
  74. [2014-10-22 23:04:53]<Cambiance> s roll?"
  75. [2014-10-22 23:05:24]* Star_Spotter nods to her. "I'm fine with that." She says with a smile."
  76. [2014-10-22 23:05:32]<EchoesOfDeath> "Ah, c'mon..." Monochrome looks at all the stuff loaded up to the chariot.
  77. [2014-10-22 23:06:06]<EchoesOfDeath> "Last trip until rest." Finder pats Monochrome's back.
  78. [2014-10-22 23:07:18]<EchoesOfDeath> After everypony is in, they depart

  80. [2014-10-22 23:09:43]<EchoesOfDeath> The chariot lands, creaking loudly, and the rest of the group is finally by the prison of Morrows' Redemption. Monochrome unstraps himself and flies limply to the wall.
  81. [2014-10-22 23:11:02]* Backlash hesitates. "More flying? Eugh..." She follows along behind him, leaving her luggage behind with the chariot.
  82. [2014-10-22 23:14:18]<EchoesOfDeath> "No, it's okay, I'm just gonna tell them to open." He waves to one of the wall guards as they point their guns. "These are good ponies!" He shouts.
  83. [2014-10-22 23:15:06]* Backlash 's ears fold back and she sheepishly flies back to the chariot. "Alright. I'll be waitin' back here."
  84. [2014-10-22 23:15:19]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder helps the ponies out of the chariot, while Vesper just keeps his eyes on the fields beyond.
  85. [2014-10-22 23:15:29]* Swift_Hurddle has a big smile on his face, whispering to cambiance, "This is so cool"
  86. [2014-10-22 23:16:02]* Cambiance gives a small smile. "It is indeed pretty cool."
  87. [2014-10-22 23:16:08]<EchoesOfDeath> "This way." Finder leads the group to the tall metal doors on the walls. They slowly open.
  88. [2014-10-22 23:17:18]* Backlash is silent as she goes inside with the others. Her eyes are restless.
  89. [2014-10-22 23:19:54]<EchoesOfDeath> They are led down a hallway with many heavy doors. They can see visitor booths through a window, and further ahead through another door they see Star_Spotter, Rosebee, Aegis and the others manacled inside a large holding cell.
  90. [2014-10-22 23:20:11]<EchoesOfDeath> It has been 3 hours since they arrived
  91. [2014-10-22 23:21:02]* Backlash double-takes. "Whoa, whoa, wait. Why are they chained up?" She points through the window and glares at Monochrome, half-accusingly and half-fearfully.
  92. [2014-10-22 23:24:29]<EchoesOfDeath> "Hey, it's okay. It's for safety. We are going too." Monochrome says.
  93. [2014-10-22 23:25:01]* Swift_Hurddle dose a double take and calls out, "Miss Star?"
  94. [2014-10-22 23:25:29]* Star_Spotter looks up and looks to them. "Oh hey"
  95. [2014-10-22 23:25:34]* Cambiance frowns. "Why?"
  96. [2014-10-22 23:25:40]* Backlash settles down a little bit. "Oh, yeah... I see Aegis is in there too." She grins in relief. "I thought... nevermind."
  97. [2014-10-22 23:26:48]* Swift_Hurddle looks a bit puzzled, "Saftey"
  98. [2014-10-22 23:27:41]<EchoesOfDeath> "Quarantine. We used to use the solitary cells but that... did not put the newcomers in a good mindset. This is a way to keep friends together but safe from each other." Finder explains
  99. [2014-10-22 23:28:06]* Cambiance keeps frowning, but nods. "Fair enough. Makes sense."
  100. [2014-10-22 23:30:58]<EchoesOfDeath> Dr. Sinew Construct, a strong red unicorn, once again comes in, He rubs his face as he crosses the door, pulling his flashlight again. "Alright, who are the new ones?"
  101. [2014-10-22 23:32:22]* Backlash glances around uncertainly before raising a hoof.
  102. [2014-10-22 23:33:09]<Cambiance> "I am as well."
  103. [2014-10-22 23:33:26]<EchoesOfDeath> He lights the flashlight to Backlash's eyes. "Hold still for a moment."
  104. [2014-10-22 23:33:55]* Backlash flinches but then holds still.
  105. [2014-10-22 23:34:00]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Oh.... thats smart, why didnt we think of that"
  106. [2014-10-22 23:34:35]* Swift_Hurddle raises a hoof
  107. [2014-10-22 23:37:24]<EchoesOfDeath> He takes a look around Backlash's coat and moves to Cambiance, there are bags under his eyes and he doesn't seem to notice Swift_Hurddle's hoof.
  108. [2014-10-22 23:37:58]<Backlash> "What was that for?" she asks Sinew as he trots off. "And think of what, Swift?"
  109. [2014-10-22 23:40:26]<EchoesOfDeath> "Eye decay is one of the first changes." Sinew says. "No signs of eye decay on these two."
  110. [2014-10-22 23:41:27]<Backlash> "Is there a mare here named Sugar Drop? How is she?"
  111. [2014-10-22 23:41:39]* Swift_Hurddle shrugs, "seperating ponies that could be sick"
  112. [2014-10-22 23:42:19]<EchoesOfDeath> He moves to Mr. Bill. "Well... that's not good." Sinew says.
  113. [2014-10-22 23:42:59]<EchoesOfDeath> "What? I have the cataracts, if that is the matter." Mr. Bill says
  114. [2014-10-22 23:45:03]<EchoesOfDeath> "I hope so, go to the cell and wait." Sinew frowns.
  115. [2014-10-22 23:45:38]<EchoesOfDeath> "Sugar, I think I have heard of a Sugar." Dr. Sinew says.
  116. [2014-10-22 23:45:59]<Backlash> "Is she with the others in the holding cell thingy? Is that where we're goin' too?"
  117. [2014-10-22 23:47:05]<EchoesOfDeath> "I'm here!" Sugar waves her forehoof from the cell.
  118. [2014-10-22 23:47:50]<EchoesOfDeath> "Yes, you are." One of the guards says, opening the cell to Backlash.
  119. [2014-10-22 23:48:05]* Swift_Hurddle dosent offer any resistance
  120. [2014-10-22 23:50:04]* Backlash smiles and joins her in the cell. "Oh, you're okay!"
  121. [2014-10-22 23:50:20]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle is checked right after.
  122. [2014-10-22 23:51:36]<EchoesOfDeath> "I am!" Sugar tries to nuzzle Backlash but cant reach because of the manacle. "Oh, right."
  123. [2014-10-22 23:53:04]<EchoesOfDeath> "Did you take a good look at her, Doctor." Vesper asks.
  124. [2014-10-22 23:53:11]* Backlash shrugs and looks apologetic. "How long're we in here for? Is everypony here with us?"
  125. [2014-10-22 23:54:42]* Swift_Hurddle looks to the doctor, "How do I look doc?"
  126. [2014-10-22 23:55:20]<EchoesOfDeath> "You seem fine so far." Dr. Sinew says.
  127. [2014-10-22 23:55:30]<EchoesOfDeath> "I do my job." He says, flashing the light on Vespers eyes. "Don't worry about it."
  128. [2014-10-22 23:57:01]* Swift_Hurddle smiles
  129. [2014-10-22 23:59:36]<EchoesOfDeath> "Twenty four hours" A guard tells Backlash. She can see everypony is along with them, manacled, and resting or eating snacks. Except for Genevieve.
