Cicada would never put Winds quote on their initial clue. I just wanted to make this little thing to show you, how easily one can be deceived if you don't check PGP properly. Message validated, becasue PGP ignores tabs and spaces after end of the lines. Messages written in whitespace can be altered and PGP still validates. I know it's hard to put all your time into something invisible but you do it because you have faith that it leads to some type of gain at the end.

Whether it be power or information (which, inherently is power any way) the idea that your time or your effort have painstakingly been wasted is very offensive to your human nature.

Very well. I would love to tell you a lot about what you know as 3301. More like warn you. Not because 3301 is dangerous. It's not fulfilling. First of all.. I am not Cicada. Or not anymore at least. I have been inside. I've seen how they work. It isn't about arriving at the end, it's about the process of solving. It's the process of solving puzzles that satisfies us not what's at the end. And that's what 3301 is all about. The only one to realize this yet, was Wind. What do you think is at 3301's end? A secret organization? Someone powerful? Well wisdom is powerful.

This year in Cicada needs to be different. They've shown us the very basics of internet cryptography. Mainly outguess, PGP and XORing. If they were as powerful as they claim to be, stuff will get harder. And if not , oh well, we can still create our own riddles. This isn't the last you're gonna here from me. Ave atque Vale. 2014 will change Cicada 3301 approach. Here's why.

Many sources claim, that Cicada doesn't want publicity. Now when many newspapers and websites has exposed the group to public audience, they will change tactics.

It's true that they get more people solving the puzzles by getting more publicity, but their tactics have one big blunder. People aren't motivated enough, and that's why they had to take the Tor board down, what was set up for chosen ones. 2013 was a failure.

People are interested about figuring out who/what Cicada 3301 is, and that causes leaks, like what we have seen. And what about now, when there's even more publicity? It will surely attract more and more people, who are just interested about the mystery, and leaking information about them.

They are not stupid. Things will change in 2014.
