Give us a Glug

Elijah faced his opponent, the two of them caressing their poke balls in hand.

"Go, Gligar!"

"Go Machoke!"

The two pokemon erupted from their balls in red light, facing each other with snarls. Machoke flexed it's muscles while Gligar flapped it's wings menacingly. "Gligar, Poison Sting!" ordered Elijah, and his Pokemon shot forwards, faster than the fighting type.

"Machoke, Karate Chop!" ordered Syrus, and the two pokemon collided. Machoke let out a yell, Gligar now attached to it's face.

"Damn it, Gligar! I said poison sting! Knock it off!"

Machoke missed gligar with it's chop, and the ground Pokemon slapped Machoke's hand, the held item slipping out onto the floor. "Not Knock Off! Knock it off. Stop, attack with poison sting!"

"Machoooooke!" yelled the fighting Pokemon, batting at the Pokemon, but of course, it was poison and resistant to fighting moves. Finally, Gligar detached itself and flew away. "Finally. Now, U-turn!" Gligar spun up and shot back down through the air, straight at… Syrus, who yelled as it attached itself to his face now. He ran about, with less dignity than the Machoke, slapping at the Poison/Ground Pokemon that was hugging him tightly.

"Ma-ma-machoooke!" cried the fighting Pokemon and continued batting away at thin air, imagining the Gligar was still on him. A screech of fright, and he fainted. Syrus didn't notice, flailing about now.

"I need more badges" sighed Elijah, holding out his Pokeball. "Gligar, return!"

The Pokemon detached itself from Syrus who took in a deep breath, wheezing. It had almost suffocated him. With a cheerful cry, Gligar swooped around and shot back at Elijah. Red light shot out to put it back in it's poke ball, but missed, and flew straight at Elijah.

But nothing happened, and a moment later, it went back to it's ball, vanishing. Just then, Elijah's Pokedex beeped, and he took it out. "Gligar learn a new move. Feint Attack!"

"Well how do you like th-"

Feint Attack then kicked in, flooring Elijah. Opposite him, Syrus was sobbing. "It was hideous! The wings were everywhere, and the teeth! Oh thank Arceus Gligar can't learn bite!" exclaimed Syrus happily, and then noticed Elijah unconscious. Looking around to make sure no one else was around, he stood up, and slapped his Pokemon's cheek to wake it up.

"Hey, Machoke, wake up! We won!" He walked over and rummaged in Elijah's pockets for his winnings, finding only a piece of lint. "Cheapskate. Well, better luck next time. Come on, Machoke. I think there's a good psychiatrist in Canalave."

"Machoke" replied his Pokemon in agreement.
