We believe Vilden should stay banned because he consistently accrues violations while unbanned, the violations are community based and thus letting him back in negatively affects the site, and because it would uphold the integrity of a ban.

Reason 1: Vilden consistently accrues violations. At the moment, he has 6 active violations, plus a bypassing suspensions vio. He bypasses frequently and while unbanning him would prevent that, there's no promise that he wouldn't commit more violations. The reason he's banned right now is because he broke his leash. Why would we allow him back when his past behavior proves that he's just going to continue breaking rules?

Reason 2: The violations are community violations. This means that Vilden was banned because he attacked other people (harassment) or said unsettling things that offended people (HC). If we care about the userbase even a little, what justification is there to allow this douche canoe back into the general population?

Reason 3: It upholds the integrity of a ban. Let's be real here: leashes were being used far too commonly in recent times. They allowed Dyl to be unbanned after a minuscule ban, and the same thing happened to Vilden. It makes the administration and mod team look like a joke if they cave to the pressure of every banned user. Keep Vilden banned, and you send a message that bans will be served in full, because you gotta do the time if you do the "crime".

One rebuttal people might say is that Vilden is a good mafia player, and allowing him back would strengthen the competitiveness of the userbase. That's completely irrelevant to why he was banned, and the skill of a player should not be enough to justify allowing a despicable person back into the site. It may ever so slightly improve the games played because Vilden will be in some of them and therefore there will be more skill involved, but he's going to continue to harass people and use hateful comments because that's the type of person he is, and he has made no effort to change from that.

In conclusion, keep Vilden banned. Because he's an asshole.
