- As I sit here and type away on this laptop the events that I type are true. I remember the day that I think it all began just as if it was yesterday. It was slightly cloudy and it was in the evening as I rode down the back roads on my four wheeler. I normally ride around the back roads when I want some thinking time. I don't know why but it calms me and helps me think. On this day I steered my four wheeler down a field road. I followed the road all the way down to a tree line and I stopped the four wheeler. The tree line seemed peaceful enough so I turned off the four wheeler and laid back. I rested my head on the back seat and propped my feet up on the handle bars. At this moment I was actually enjoying my day. Work was horrible that day and home life wasn't going good either. As I laid there thinking about personal things I was suddenly hit with the feeling that I had to go piss. I then got up from the four wheeler and started walking down the tree line. As I walked through the tree line I stumbled and lost my balance. I threw out my hands trying desperately to catch myself but still in vain. My body hit the ground with a loud crash as I broke small tree limbs that where on the ground.
- As I laid there I could tell that I was in a dip. As I turned over and sat up something caught my eye. It looked like a small fence and the more I stared at it. The more and more it started to look like a the small iron fences they used to put around graves. I stop and think to myself that its not a grave because there is no indication of a graveyard. However as I stood up looked down the tree line I saw several more dips in the ground. I thought that no one would believe me that there is a cemetery out here. I then pulled my iPhone out and switched to the camera. I then tapped the white circle and my iPhone made the shutter sound. I looked at the picture of the grave I took so I can prove to people that there is a cemetery out here. I then put my phone on lock and put it back in my pocket. It was starting to get late and knew I had to get to town and put my four wheeler up before dark. As I walked back to the four wheeler I decided to hold my need to use the bathroom until I got home. When I got back on the four wheeler I started to feel uneasy. Maybe it was the fact that I realized that I was lying on top of a grave or maybe because of the fact that there was a graveyard out here in the first place.
- When I got home everything went as normal. I ate dinner, took a shower and sat in my bedroom preparing to watch some movies. I plugged my iPhone into its charger and laid it on the night stand. The movie I decided to watch until I fell asleep was Army of Darkness. I woke up the next morning to my phone alarm blaring and quickly turned it off. I got dressed and went work for my Monday through Thursday eight work hours. When I got back from work I got on my laptop and decided to try to find this cemetery on Google maps. I went and typed my address in the search bar. Google maps then quickly popped my house up. I followed the roads all the way to where I went out in the country. I saw that Google didn't have it marked as a cemetery. That made me wonder as I zoomed in and changed it to satellite image. I saw the tree line but nothing else. No shadows on the ground that would mark the dips that I figured were sunken graves. I then went to the search engine and typed "cemetery locations in southeast MO". The search engine didn't shed any light on the situation at all. The only thing I learned after my escapade was that there was no information on the internet of this cemetery.
- I then yawned took a shower and went to my bedroom. I plugged my iPhone into the charger and sat it on the night stand. I unlocked it and went to my photo album. I looked at picture and thought that I would show my friends tomorrow since i'm off work. I then went sleep and hoped that I would find something tomorrow. When I woke up the next day I couldn't find my iPhone. It wasn't on the night stand and I know I put it there the night before. I got up and started searching my bedroom for my iPhone. After that I moved down the hall and into the front room. Then there it was, sitting on my couch was my iPhone. I grabbed it and looked at the time. It showed that the time was eleven-thirty. Well at least I didn't have work today or I would have been horrendously late. I figured that my friends wouldn't come over until around eleven thirty at night. So I had some time to kill I thought to myself. So I sat down on the couch and started wondering how my phone moved from my bedroom to the front room. It couldn't have grown arms and legs. Then climb down from my night stand, run to the front room, climb up my couch, and sit down on it. I went up to both my TV and turned it on along with my PS4. I then went on to playing around with assassins creed until my friends came over.
- Its was around eleven forty-three when they came over and I couldn't contain my self. As soon as they sat down and started talking I immediately started telling them about the tree line. They looked at me and gave me a puzzled look. "Are you sure there is a cemetery out there?", Dianna said. I told her that I was sure and pulled out my phone. I then went to albums and I showed it to them. I showed it to Dianna, Alexis, and Shawn with unnerving fulfillment of finding something that wasn't known. "Are you sure that taking a picture of it was a good idea?", Shawn asked. I looked at Shawn and said that I took it for proof. Because thanks to that glorious internet saying pics or it didn't happen. So I explained to them that I didn't think anyone would believe me if I didn't have some kind of proof. "I still think your stupid for taking that picture.", Alexis said. I looked at her and ask would she had believed me if I didn't have pictures. Alexis shook her head side to side and gave me a no. I looked at her and said that she just proved what I said was right. Alexis didn't reply and stood there giving me a dirty look. "Yes she did but however in a way I do agree with her.", Dianna said. I looked at her and asked her to explain to me why am I stupid for taking the picture. Dianna then replied,"What if something dose happen because you took that picture?"
- I told them not to worry since this isn't the first picture that I took in a graveyard. "I do find it interesting though.", Shawn started saying, "As to why that cemetery was abandoned in the first place." I told Shawn that his guess was as good as mine. We then got off the subject and talked about other things instead of continuing the topic. It was around four in the morning when they went home. I quickly took a shower and climbed in bed. I woke up sometime in the afternoon to my guess. I reached for my iPhone and looked at it. It read twelve-thirty and then I sat up and got dressed. I went outside to check my mailbox since I didn't check it yesterday. When I opened my mailbox I saw a familiar looking letter. It was from the electric company. That was strange, I thought, why would they send me a two bills in one month. I went back home and sat down on my couch. I then proceeded to open the letter and as I did I was shocked. Also slightly pissed but still shocked. The letter said that they didn't receive my payment for this month and that because so they were shutting down my electric. That's bullshit I yelled in a rage that echoed through my empty house. I know I sent those bastards a hundred dollars for the bill this month. See because of my low paying job I couldn't afford to pay something like that back to back.
- After I was done with my ranting I decided to go to the local gas station. As I walked I went to the back wall and looked for an affordable alcohol. I then found what I was looking for. A fifth of Kessler for nineteen dollars. That would make me forget about how the electric company was screwing me. I then went back to my house and sat down on my couch. I sat the fifth of Kessler on the coffee table and went into the kitchen to grab a glass. I came back into the front room and poured my self a drink. I then grabbed a movie and took it out of its case. I then put it in the player and started watching it. I remember the movie was "Sinister". The last thing I remember from that night was the lawn mower scene in the movie. When I woke up the next day it was one-twenty in the afternoon according to the iPhone. It was ringing and the caller id showed it was my friend Jason. I answered it and after a lengthy conversation we decided to hang out. It was around three when he came over and we sat down in my front room talking. I showed him the picture and told him how I came upon this cemetery. This then got him on the subjects of ghost stories and we sat there sharing ghost stories. He told me of experiences and stories that his parents told him. I also did the same and told him tales of experiences.
- We then started walking around town for a little bit and after about a couple of hours we came back to my house. While we were gone the electric company worker apparently came by my house and turned my power off. I called my mother and asked her if I could stay at her house. She happily said yes and hung up the phone after saying goodbye. Jason and me then walked over there knowing that my mother still had my room the way I left it when I moved out. When we got there and into my room we started talking about music. After we ended a conversation about bass and electric guitars. We then heard a song playing. It was coming from the guest bedroom. I knew that in this bedroom mom and dad did have a alarm clock. I told Jason that it was probably the alarm clock in the guest room. We went in there to turn it off and as we entered we saw it on the nightstand. The alarm clock was playing a song and was flashing a time. The time it was flashing was ten thirty in the morning. I pulled on the power cord and I felt no resistance. The end of the power cord quickly appeared in my hand and the alarm clock was still going. Jason and me left that room...quickly. We went outside and sat on the porch. Then some time later we saw my mother pull up in her car.
- We had to be visibly shaken because she asked us what was wrong. We told her what had happened in the guest bedroom. She looked at us and told us that the alarm clock could also run on batteries. Jason and me slowly went back into the guest room. I picked up the clock and turned it over. I then opened the battery pack and saw there was no battery inside. I looked at Jason and took the alarm clock outside. I then threw it in the trash and we walked back inside. The rest of the day went normal except for the alarm clock incident which Jason and me kept talking about. That night I was told by my mother that I should visit my uncle tomorrow. She said that he was in the hospital in a town forty-five minutes away. I said I would after work tomorrow and went to bed for the night. I woke up and went to work the next morning. According to the clock it was about ten-fifty when the work phone rang. The manager came over to me and said it was for me. I grabbed the phone and said hello. On the other side was my crying mother and in between her sobs she told me my uncle had died. I put the phone down and told my manager what happened. He gave me four days off for grieving. I drove to the town that really was a small city and pulled up to the hospital.
- As I entered the hospital I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. I saw my dad with my cousin crying into his shoulder. After a little bit of chit chat with family members telling them they have my condolences. It was later in the day when dad and me were walking through the parking lot. I asked him how it happened and he looked at me. He told me that my uncle had died of heart failure at ten-thirty this morning. I looked at him wide eyed as my mind raced back to the alarm clock from yesterday. I then told him about what happened with the alarm clock. He looked at me with a raised brow and said that was what happened to that clock. I then wondered allowed if it was because of that damn picture I took. "What picture?", dad asked with some confusion to his voice. I told him about the cemetery as I pulled out my iPhone. I then went to the photo album and went to the picture. I then handed the phone over to my dad to show him the picture. He looked at it with some surprise and while handing the phone back to me he said for me to never go back out there. I wondered in my head did he know something about this place. I then walked back to my truck and drove back to my mom's since my power is still out at my house.
- I took a shower and got dressed in my night clothes. I sat down in my bedroom and started watching some TV. I don't know when I passed out but it was still night according to the window in my room. I looked down the hall and before I continue this I have to tell you the lay out of the hall. At the end of the hall is my parents room. Halfway through the hall to the left is the doorway to the front room. To the right across from it is the bathroom. On my end of the hall to the left is my room and to the right is the guest bedroom. Now down the hall by my parents room was two glowing lights. They looked like tea candles and that's what I thought they were since my mom did light candles. That was until I saw what I thought was them blinking. It wasn't a candle flickering and it wasn't someone walking in front of them. They were blinking and as I stood there in fear I heard soft murmuring. The murmuring then came to a stop and what I come to think of as eyes started to get closer. As it moved down the hall I heard scratching that sounded like metal nails against the wooden walls of the hall. I quickly went back into my room and shut the door. I heard the scratching against my door and as I sat on the floor my back to the door. I silently wished for it to go away and after i guess a minute or two the scratching subsided.
- I peeked through the crack under my door and I saw nothing. I opened the door and it was the empty hallway again. I went into the bathroom and took a piss. I then went back into my room and laid down in my bed. I woke in the morning to my phone alarm blaring. I turned it off the alarm and I then got dressed. I took some time out today to go ask the town clerk if I could look at town records. She asked me how far back do I want to see records and I replied as far back as I can go. I knew the town I lived in is the oldest in the county but I didn't know how old. She brought back an old town record book and as I looked at it I saw it went back to 1954. I asked her if there is any record that goes farther back. She said no due to a town hall fire in 1953 that destroyed all the city records at that time. I replied okay and sat down in a chair flipping through the book. I didn't find anything that mentioned a cemetery out in the country the way i went. However it dose mention the cemetery that is out on the highway. I hand her back the book and tell her thanks for letting me look. I left town hall and drove to my parents house. The rest of the day came and went as I sat down in my room about to go to sleep. As I sat there turning off my laptop from listening to a YouTube creepy pasta reader I yawned and my eye lids got heavy. I went over to my bed and laid there waiting for sleep to come to my head. When it did I wish it didn't for the night terror struck at that time.
- I was being dragged out of my house by a large group of people. Some of them I recognized as my friends Jason, Alexis, Shawn, and Dianna. Some of the people kicked me and some of them spit on me as they dragged me to the middle of the town park. My kicking and screaming was ignored as they held me down. They bounded me up with rope and put me against a pole that they had placed in the middle of the park. They then tied more rope around me securing me to the pole. I was panicking by this point and obviously in vain struggled against the rope. They poured gasoline on the wood that had been placed around me while I was struggling against the rope. After they were done they threw the gas jugs at my face. One person cried out that I will burn in hell and everyone else cheered at this. I gave a look of panic, fear, and shock. Many questions ran through my head as to what was going on. One of them then throws a zippo lighter onto the wood and flames shot everywhere. I feel every once of pain and suffering as I burn to death. At that time I woke up from this nightmare or night terror which ever one you want to call it. I was in my bed but the sheets were tight on me as if they are being held down. Around my bed was five shadowy outlines of people. They murmured to each other the middle one having the figure of a woman and the other four having the figure of men.
- I could tell they were talking about me as their heads looked down quickly at me. Then their heads would snap back to looking at each other still murmuring. I was gripped with fear and the only sound I could force out of my mouth was a tiny squeak. Around that time after my squeak they all at once stopped murmuring and snapped their heads at me. The female one then silently pointed her finger at me and then pointed at my iPhone. I couldn't understand but without much more explanation they vanished and the bed sheets loosened. I got up and quickly ran outside to my truck. I jumped in and laid down across the bench seats waiting for sleep to come to me again. I woke up that morning with my dad tapping my truck window. I sat up looked at him and rowed down the window. I asked him what did he need and what time is it. He looked at me and said, "Well numb nuts its ten-fifty in the morning and what are doing out here in your truck shirtless. With only shorts on?" I looked at him and replied that I got drunk last night. He looked at me as if he knew I was lying and said ok boy go get some breakfast from inside the house. I went inside and heard mom say that I had to go get ready for the funeral this afternoon. The morning went by quickly but I was unable to shake last night out of my head.
- I went to the funeral with my parents and the part inside the funeral home went fairly quickly. We then headed to the graveyard where there was also a military precession. During the twenty-one gun salute I swear I could see the shadowy figures out of the corner of my eye. I slightly turned my head and when I did they either faded away or disappeared behind the tombstones. After the funeral services I gave my aunt a hug and told her again i'm sorry for her loss. When we got back home afterward I went into my bedroom and put my iPhone on the charger. I had an idea, a very crazy and off the wall idea. After my iPhone charged to the point I felt comfortable I texted Shawn and Dianna. I asked them if they would like to come over and hang. They replied sure and that they would be over soon. When they got over here we sat down on my porch and started talking. Shawn looked at me and said what's with the clothes did somebody die. I looked down shook my head up and down. I then explained to them the alarm clock, my uncle dying, and everything else. It felt good to vent those things and I really needed it. Dianna looked at me and asked if I thought it had all happened because I took a picture. I looked at her and replied not the power being turned off at my house. I don't blame an electric companies accountant not being able to count or keep track of payments on the supernatural.
- However secretly I did think it was one hell of an coincidence. I then told them of my crazy idea. Maybe the souls of that cemetery want to be known I said. They looked at me and Shawn said how do you plan on making them known. Maybe its like smile dog I said. Say I passed on proof of that cemetery's existence to someone else and then they'll probably leave me alone. Shawn looked at me for a second and said first we are going to have to test this if you think that is what is needed to be done. Dianna then said just make sure your not doing something that your going to regret. Ok I said I'll try not to and I still don't think I'm doing something wrong. I told them that I'll let them know if something happens and said ok. I went inside to get onto the computer as they went back to their house. I took my dad's iPhone charging code and plugged my phone into the computer. I took the picture and put it on the computer. I then printed it out and took it down town to the park with me. There I ran into someone that I never thought I would run into again. This guy was to put it in a better term a dick in every sense of the word. I looked at him he obviously didn't remember me from school. Hell I'm not surprised I mean I did my best to change my looks for the four years I've been out of school.
- I told him to take this picture and told him it's of a forgotten cemetery that is outside of town. He gave me a strange look and I'm pretty sure he probably got the feeling that he was in a creepy pasta himself. That was if he read creepy pasta anyway. He looked at the picture and then looked at me. He scoffed at the picture and wadded it up into a ball. He then threw it in a nearby trash can as he walked off. I went to sleep that night and woke up hearing the fire alarm going off. I went into the front room and turned on my dads scanner. The fire dept was talking about the street address of the fire. It was the same place as the guy from earlier. Now I know what some of you are thinking how did I know where he lived. I tend to learn the addresses of people I don't like in town so I can avoid them like the plague. I didn't tell Shawn about the guys house that caught fire was the guy I gave the picture to. However I did notice that since I did try to make someone aware of the cemetery that nothing happened to me that night. The next day was my last day of grief leave from work. I decided to ask my brother if he would go out with me and take pictures of the rest of the graves.
- When he came to my parents house I asked him when he made it to the porch. He looked at me and gave me a look that made me think I asked him to help me commit murder. He sat down on the porch with me and asked, "What cemetery do you want to go take pictures at?" I told him of the cemetery that I found out in the country and he looked at me not replying. After what I thought was some thought on his part he replied simply no. I asked him why not and he looked at me saying that I wouldn't want to go out there. I told him that I did and that I wanted to go take pictures of that cemetery. My brother looked at my like he was trying to read my mind and said, "Jeremy why would you want to go out to a cemetery that witch is buried at to take pictures." I stared at him and handed him my iPhone and told him to go to the picture album. As he did he stopped and looked up at me. "What are you doing with a picture of the witches grave!?", he asked. I then told him how I found the cemetery and everything that has happened to me. "You can go take pictures if you want but I'm not going with you.", he said. I got up went to my truck and drove to my house. I then went into the backyard and got onto the four wheeler. I started it and drove back out to the cemetery.
- I will say that when I got out there it was silent. I mean silent enough to perfectly hear vehicles going down the gravel roads miles away. I started crawling, climbing, and clearing my way through the tree line. After I threw to the side what I could tell was the twentieth tree limb I heard it. It was the snapping of a fallen tree limb. I looked around me and saw nothing as I made paths to the graves. I then heard it again and it sounded more like steps. Like someone was walking through the rough put of the tree line but taking their time. Almost like they aren't trying to rattle anything else besides what is under their feet. I stopped and took another look and still saw nothing. I made a path to several dips and did my best to clear the area of trees. I also cleared out the witches grave area as well. I then took pictures of the sunken graves and as I did I couldn't help but look over my shoulder. I felt like I was being stalked as I went from grave to grave. I then made it back to the witches grave.
- As I stood at it taking a picture i felt hot breath on my neck. I stood still and with my hands trembling I turned around. I saw nothing but the grown up tree line. I turned back around and angled my iPhone camera at the grave. My iPhone then made the camera shutter noise and then I saw it. I only caught a glimpse of it as I turned and ran since it was bull rushing me. It was about six feet tall and it had what could be call thick dark brown or black fur. It also had those glowing eyes. The same eyes I saw in my house the night I slept in my truck. I made a B line out of the tree line and toward my four wheeler. I hopped onto it and with luck it started right up. I then drove the four wheeler back to my house. I got into my truck and drove back to my parents house. Throughout the day I debated to myself and I came up with my decision. So now I sit here typing this as the glow of the computer screen illuminates the shadow people around me. The pictures I took will be included with this story and please take it seriously. I don't know if they can get to you through a computer but if you don't take their existence likely. They might haunt you until you do.
