  1. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

  3. Walking into a normal job these days never felt like it did during the war. Fifteen year's go by when you get the job of working for a doctor, although, working for an underground cult of war revivers is fun too. People like Ace and Theta got their own lives now, no overseeing eye of mine in over theirs now. And as for the subjects, well I never heard of them again. Until today.
  4. I was sorting my papers' amongst the various ones I had laying around. A quick jolt to my door caused no interruption in my sorting, as anyone who would vist me would know my knocking etiquette, "Two knocks for talks, Three for emergencies". Two more jolts were sounded, after a short pause of no more than four seconds, a third was echoed. I pushed my chair under my table as I approached the door. I opened it halfway. Theta was there, staring with his strange changing eye colours.
  5. 'May I come in, Sir.' He uttered in a less than usual light tone. 'You may' I gladly said, hoping to catch up on old times. We both walked toward my nearly empty living room; with nothing but two chairs, one black other brown, and an old bookshelf. 'Sorry for the sparceness, hope it doesn't bother your active eyes.' I said, breaking our footsteps inclosed sounds. We both sat in the chairs, Theta in the brown. 'Not at all, I quite like having the room be empty. It gives me a free vibe.' Theta responded.
  6. 'So why did you decide to make your way over here after such a long time. I mean you didn't even schedule anything.'
  7. 'I like to drop in, it's a specialty of mine.'
  8. 'Then why were you so eager to talk to me, I'm busy these days you know.'
  9. 'It's about the subjects, one of them is married. Here, in Pennsylvania.'
  10. I never thought about the subjects until Theta mentioned them then, however I was unsure of what his plan was. Theta broke my train of thought as he spoke again, 'I know what your occupation is these days, I'm not asking for your intervention. Nevertheless I found a guy who wants a revenge on them of a sort, real pirate looking fella with an eye-patch.'. 'Then what do you want with me then?' I replied.
  11. 'Help.'
  12. 'Why so, I thought you got the guy you said of to take care of em'.'
  13. 'I want you to join my 'club'.'
  14. 'And what would that do for me.'
  15. 'It would be your employment, it's a cleaning job. For people or, bodies.'
  16. Assassination was a serious buisiness at the time now, since everyone still held grudges on the previous war. Although I never thought I would do it, but I could do well with my shooting skills from that war. I held my head up and put my hand forward, 'Deal.' I uttered as Theta shook my hand.
  17. Theta began to walk out the door. I said my goodbye as I was still sitting in the living room. However before Theta fully shut the door, he informed me on my job info. 'Work starts on Thursday. Meet up down at Pittsburg, bring your M40 too, the scoped one.'. I nodded as he shut the door, silence sprawled all over the room. I palmed my hands on my face, shifting them through my hair.
  18. I thought more about that eye-patched 'fella' Theta talks about, he seemed to really want to kill that one. Shifting through these thoughts, the window shines it's blazing hot sun in my eye. I move away from the window. I stop in my tracks.

  20. I have to stop him from killing the subject, I remember why the government tried to publically execute him instead of assassinate him. Dire days were ahead.
