Regarding the Baal and all the other threats Gaiou was turning people into Jigenjuu for:

 

"There's nothing for you to worry about - you guys who beat me can surely beat them.  In the end, I'm just a washed up hero.  I, who sunk so low as to using the Violation System... the Revive Cells...  I discarded any true hope long ago.  I even became more enamored with fighting itself than moving towards any real goal. The only ones who are worthy of calling themselves guardians are those who can bear the feelings and thoughts and pain of others. The galaxy is full of more conflict than you can possibly imagine.  Disaster will come.  Peace being followed by war is just a truth of the universe. It could be internal warfare, or invaders from afar, but remember, eternal peace is not something you can promise anyone. No matter what comes, you just have to not lose to it.  You beat me, so you'd better be able to do something as simple as that. Listen up now...  don't pity your foes. If you reject evil, surpass your hesitations and pursue what feels just to you. Don't ever forget - those who fight for a purpose are not allowed even a single defeat. And...  protect it. This cruel yet kind world.
