> With the breeding over the exhausted and wounded stallions are given spaghetti prepared upstairs
> They get to play with one another and recuperate while the mares are moved to the maternity wing
> Rex makes a note on Cheddar's card later that day

> Over the next two weeks the dams in the maternity wing bulge in size
> The plastic bins they sit in have food and fluffy proof water dispensers but mares need to be cleaned daily
> Too big to move to the litter box
> Before any night births Trish induces labor with a quick shot
> "NUU! BIG POOPIES! HUWT! HUWTY! HEWP! HEEEHHHHHH!"
> Susie is first and one by one five chirping foals successfully survive the birth
> Quite rare, but not due to the litter size
> Other litters are smaller, some larger
> Most lose at least one foal however
> Either to undernourishment, birthing complications, or poor genetics
> "Suuzee wan bebbeh! Giff suuzee bebbeh!"
> No fluffsplosions thankfully
> Most of the wall-eyes are too dumb to raise their foals or unable to feed them all
> Susie is one of the few who will raise their own foals
> The feeder dams are given the rest
> "Nuuuu... bad bebbeh... take... nummies... nummies fow mummmahs... fow mummahs bebbehs... nuuuu..."
> They weakly whine the babies feed happily on the bulging teats
> One of the older mares has succumb to derp syndrome and is paralyzed
> Her body is disposed of and only 3 of her 7 foals survive
> After a day the foals have all opened their eyes or died
> 44 foals birthed
> 7 stillborn
> 6 died within the first hour
> 9 died of various malignant genetic traits
> Only 14 foals have wall-eye and live
> The rest are happy if a little stupid
> Trish spend most of her time over the next two weeks rotating foals that may be too dumb to nurse on their own
> One foal nurses on its own foot for hours chirping the whole time looking at the teat near its face and the foot in its mouth
> After two weeks various accidents, fights, and stupidity claim another five wall-eyes
> Now weaned and ready for sale each wall eye fetches $75 a piece
> The regular quietly picks up his five foals and pays
> He leaves without saying a word
> The regular siblings will cost only $15 and will be sold one at a time or in bulk to various families, regulars, and abusers
> A few walleyes are kept however and they too will breed with their parents, sisters, and brothers
> The negative trait in demand they will copulate many times before they succumb to derp syndrome
> Such is the vicious cycle of derpy fluffies
