In August 2004, the bank was renamed International Bank of Qatar (IBQ), when the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) acquired a 20% stake in the bank and assumed management responsibilities. Her name fails to appear on the IMMA website some time before February 14, 2009. Presumably, Abedin left IMMA to accept her current position as Deputy Chief of Staff to Hillary Clinton.
