Assess society as you know it, by using the Ten Words/Commandments.

1.  Prepare a "report card" based on your assessment of the implications of the Ten Commandments,
and rate your society like a report card, A + ?  B?  F?

2.  Offer comments on areas of strength, and areas for improvement.

3.  Comment on how each commandment affects our modern community life.   For example: if we are scoring an "F" on "do not covet our neighbor's goods", this means we are becoming too materialistic. Discuss materialism and discuss what you think will happen to our community if we don't change that failing grade.

1And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4Blessed are those who mourn,
    For they shall be comforted.

5Blessed are the meek,
    For they shall inherit the earth.

6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    For they shall be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful,
    For they shall obtain mercy.

8Blessed are the pure in heart,
    For they shall see God.

9Blessed are the peacemakers,
    For they shall be called sons of God.

10Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
