  1. Today was the day that the carnival was coming to an end, the happiness, the joy. I still didn’t believe they did this to my poor people. I’ve been in this carnival routine for ten years, the torture… I will not stand for this, there’s no way I will let them get away with it… Tonight is the night I free them, and begin my life on the run. It’s all because of this fair that I feel this way. Ever since I have been on the inside and seen the foul, disgusting treatment of my kind, I’ve set out to stop the art in its tracks. I dressed for the occasion and began to make my way into the fairgrounds in the wee hours of the night, where no one could see me…
  2. As soon as I could see it in my sights, my heart beat sped up, and I had trouble breathing. I felt anxious as I got closer and closer, ready to jump at the slightest movement. I stopped for a moment, just to fess out my master plan, but the feeling of my shoe against the soft, moist ground sent happiness through my veins, and empowered me with my decision to move on. The nice country vibe of the area made me wish I could stay here forever, but I have some serious business to take care of. I bend down to smell the grass, I could sense my nostrils trying to eat the flavor, such a great smell. Sometimes I’m tempted to taste a bit, just to see what I’m missing out on since they love it so much, the horses.
  3. I continued walking on over to the stables, strutting in my cowboy boots, sexy cowgirl jeans, and my beautiful wide-brimmed cowboy hat. The whole outfit. As I strut my stuff to the stables the wind started to pick up, I felt powerful, the wind blowing my hair, as if it were a majestic mane. I felt like a superhero, and made me feel as though I could take on the world, like the man from snowy river. (not part of my story but it’s an Australia reference, GOOGLE IT)
  4. I arrive at the stables and bend over to sniff the manure, a very exquisite smell that fills me with contentment. Sometimes I’m able to pick up certain feelings and emotions through the smells, it didn't smell good, they were in trouble. I crouched down on all fours, going from human to horse, and quietly approach my people, neighing softly under my breath. When I approached the horses, I rubbed my head against their stomachs, as if I’m giving them a friendly hello, showing them I mean no harm. I leave my head pressed tightly against their stomachs, to listen to their heartbeats, so I can form an emotional connection with them. I hope to be reincarnated as one, as soon as I leave this horrible world as human… Then in horse form, I will unleash my nefarious plan to take over the world as a horse. I made my way to the rear of the horse, where I began to braid their tails, I give them nice styles, so they can feel like super models. When I finished, I pull some hairspray out of my cowboy belt, and gently spray their tails to keep it in shape.
  5. I then trotted out of the farm house, to reach into my bag which I left outside. I stuck my hand into my bag, where I pulled put some 5 star hay salads and carrot cakes I whipped up as soon as I heard the news that the carnival was ending. I slowly moved my way back into the stables, and gave each horse a lovely meal, on a gold-lined plate, and moved over to the hay bales in the corner, taking in the soft peaceful sounds of the horses elegantly chewing their food. When I reached the hay bales, I removed a single strand of straw and began to eat it as I thought to myself… “One day, my children, I will soon be with you, and we can take over the world!” As soon as they finished their meals, they would gain the necessities needed to communicate with me, and escape this cruel prison sentence.
  6. As soon as the horses had finished devouring their food, I could hear the gently sounds of numerous neighs in my head, finally, I could communicate with my people, all thanks to the secret ingredient, equestrian pasta.
  7. “Neigh neigh, neeeeeeigh” I heard one of the horses say. I placed my fingers on the sides of my head, trying my hardest to translate what they the beautiful beast was trying to say, “I’m ready, master”.
  8. I ripped the saddle off the wall, and threw it on to one of the horse’s backs. I stood up, and raised my head to the sky, as I warmed my vocals for the harmonizing “neigh” I was about to let out. The moment the heartfelt noise left my mouth I could tell that the horses were on their way. I rode my horse out of the stables, and the others followed behind, as if I was their leader. Not long after we had departed on our journey, the carnival lights turned on, I must have woken security with my immaculate neigh (I could have won American Idol with just that soul noise). A man came running out of his hut, but my A-grade horses were no match for his peasant feet. I pulled a strike anywhere match from my belt, and struck it against my boots. Once the flame was live, I pulled out my hairspray to ignite the flame on a nearby coconut tree, pulling a fruit off on my way past. I then grabbed the spur off my booth to cut the coconut in half, and clapped the two halves together, to command the following horses to kick down the blazing tree onto the carnival tent. Luckily these horse are show-trained, otherwise half my plans would not be possible. As we were galloping in the wind, I remembered when I was young how my grandma used to read me the ‘hey diddle diddle’ nursery rhyme, and ever since it’s been a lifelong dream to reenact it, ala horse version. Instead of the cow jumping over the moon, I would have my horse jump over the Ferris wheel, and then knock it over so it could further spread the flames burning up the carnival grounds. I put my plan into motion, and slowly turned my head back as I watched the tall Ferris wheel fall onto the blazing carnival grounds.
  9. SAVE THE HORSES.
