Wow, I Love This Song
The lyrics were pretty hard to wrap my mind around since they're more abstract this time. Hopefully it all sounds okay though!
Buzzる/Fuzzる/Muzzい/Jazzれ - buzz/fuzz-ru i translated as verbs since -ru typically u see on verbs, muzz-i (sang as mazu-i) i tl'd more like an adjective and going off of the english definition of 'muzz' although! I will note that what's being sung sounds more like まずい aka 'bad' in loose terms. JAZZ-RE I HAD NO CLUE!!!! WHAT 2 DO!!!!!! so i just went w/ whatever sounded the most right in english
The lowdown on Last Dimension (the actual in-game musical) is that Eight (gaku) is an angel who gets corrupted by the desires/lusts of the city (named..... Zero Arena............), Nine (ten) is the ambitious protagonist), and Ten (ryuu) is a demon who gets touched by Nine's humanity etcetc. Eight and Ten try to lead Nine towards their side, and Lot of Things Happen leading to Nine killing them both. I COULD TALK ABOUT LAST DIMENSION FOREVER BUT ANyways the point of this blurb is to note that I tl'd the lyrics w/ the musical in mind, and also Aira's second fanbook interview in mind too !!!
さあ どっちだ? - I wrote 'who was it?' when I did the short version but u see, the long version goes docchi da --> docchi da --> dare da so i just stuck w/ smth closer to literal 2 preserve the effect of the 'dare da/who was it?'
終わりのない出口さがして - 'never-ending exit' sounded a little funky and contradictory so Yeah
見つめあうほど お互いをハダカにしてく - literally 'the more we look at each other, the more naked we get' bUT THAT SOUNDS CRAPPY so here we are.... thank u kuri for the suggestion!!!
For each of the lines after the "dimension in section," I omitted writing 'dimension' again even though they sing it in Japanese (jigen) bc redundant and tried to make it sound more like they implied it \o/ hopefully it worked????
FOR THE BRIDGE, note how gaku and ryuu's lines are entirely in katakana, which generally indicates a character has gone deranged or out of their mind (or speaking extremely shitty Japanese). This is a really nice touch given the plot of LastDim and how their respective characters end up progressing!!!! When will Bamco release a Last Dim drama cd im starvinG
I also hear 'it's pasta' for 'it's past time' but that's probably just me
