Created by one Dr. R. Curien. A scientist talented in many fields with a focus in bioengineering, he was forced to turn his considerable abilities to Mech design since no one would fund his personal research as it was deemed too "dangerous" and "morally bankrupt" even though he insists it can produce incredibly effective medical techniques.

The Type-27 was originally designed to protect research facilities from pirate attacks. It was armed with a single ferociously powerful melee weapon both to discourage pirates in their typically flimsy harpies and to minimize the risk of its own weapons causing collateral damage to sensitive facilities. It has advanced armour which allows it to close the distance to most foes with little fear covering most of its body. This armour does however makes it difficult to disperse heat created by the generator, and as a result the torso is more lightly armoured to avoid causing harm to its pilot.
