Official Statement from Legion Development Pool 3/22/14

Dear Blackcoin Community:

We are very pleased to say that Friday Night/Sat Morning was a resounding success! Closed Beta has started, get your invite over at IRC on freenode #blackcoinpool. Okay some quick things to note!

1. Please DO NOT share the closed beta address on any social media platforms. This is very important to us that you guys do not do this, not until we are ready for it. We are planning on opening up the beta some time on Saturday anyway, so please just hold off for now!

2. You may have noticed that we are currently still using the old interface, hopefully sometime during Saturday we will be uploading a much nicer and more aesthetically pleasing interface.

3. Some users maybe experiencing the following error:
"Error occurred! If this is the first time you've seen this error please give the following to the developer:  Q2Fubm90IGNhbGwgbWV0aG9kICd0aW1lcycgb2YgdW5kZWZpbmVk"
We believe this is an issue with some browsers and some issue with user agents. We are aware of it and are looking in to fixing it asap. You can still connect to our stratum server just get it from the one of the @ops in IRC.

4. Regarding payouts, the current payout system is manual, and the original code for this is hacked together. This is one of our priorities to automate, it will take a few days because it has to be done properly, but we are working on it. Payouts for closed beta will happen sometime on Saturday.

5. As you may have noticed, we have been focusing primarily on the backend so far. We have re-written large chunks of code, and will continue to do rapid iterative development.

6. We want to thank the community, and especially the lovely people over in IRC channel #blackcoinpool - you have made tonights closed beta launch a very pleasant affair. We thank you for your belief in our team, it reinforces our commitment towards building a platform that the community can be proud to call its own.


Okay now some of you may have seen our roadmap, our current soft target date for official full on pool launch for next weekend. We will see how open beta performs, but most likely we will continue running the pool for some time past the weekend-- if things continue to go as smoothly as they currently are, then possibly all week.

What does full launch mean?

-More Features
-Real metric tools, and graphs
-Possibly more servers (this depends on the outcome of the open beta, but Europe, we got your back ;))
-More automation towards payment/trading
-Possibly have the Black Coin Foundation up for charitable donations
-Continued performance and algorithm enhancements (coin choosing/trading/etc..)

Also quick shout out to our community managers @Soepkip and @maarx who have been helping us an enormous amount, these are good guys send some BC their way if you are feeling generous.
