  1. [18:38] IcePicklobotomy The chamber itself it a massive space, stretching out for hundreds of meters. You can see pits in the floor, though not what lies in them from here. The space is lite by a sickly red glow eminating from the floor, while the walls and ceiling are lost in the murky darkness. There in the center is a massive cross with a pair of spiked nailed into it, though whatever it contained is long since...
  2. [18:38] IcePicklobotomy ...gone. You can make out a computer terminal near it.
  3. [18:41] Kasra examines the space between himself and the massive cross, checking for a clear path.
  4. [18:41] IcePicklobotomy There's a walk-way leading straight from the shattered bulk-head and the central platform
  5. [18:43] Kasra Scarcely moving his eyes from the point of intersection of the monument, Kasra begrudgingly refocuses on the terminal, wiping away the grime on the screen
  6. [18:44] IcePicklobotomy Kasra: As you walk you can see what lies in the pits. Bodies, dozens of giant malformed bodies. The base of Outriders, warped skeletons with bits of flesh still rotting on their frames.
  7. [18:45] Kasra "..."
  8. [18:55] IcePicklobotomy Kasra: At your touch the Terminal springs to life. It opens to a battle-report. 7 Evangelions (Outriders? You're not sure) and something called a TRIDENT were deployed against something the Angel (Intruder perhaps?) designated "Lucifer". The report indicates that like all the angels it was headed for Central Dogma, and was engaged in NERV-Berlin. The TRIDENT was disabled first, the pilot...
  9. [18:55] IcePicklobotomy ...appearing to have been killed by a "Anti-AT FIeld" the Angel deployed wihin the city limits. This also killed every living thing withing a half-kilo radius. From there the 7 Evangellions engaged the Angel and were destroyed one by one. It then breached Central Dogma and "Subsumed The Progenitor Sentient Terraforming Engine". The report cuts out after that.
  10. [19:00] Kasra "...anti AT..." Kasra shifts his attention to the massive construct near him and moves towards its base.
  11. [19:02] IcePicklobotomy [It's a massive cross made of metal, large enough for a Outrider to be hung from it. A pair of spikes with dried blood are nailed into the two spokes, and it rests in a bowl-shaped depression with several holes leading into the floor
  12. [19:28] Kasra "..."
  13. [19:32] Kasra proceeds solemnly to the cross and lightly runs his hand across a section of its surface. His thoughts have all but deserted him now, but he can't shape the one that tells him this is what he was after, but that he was too late. That it was always too late.
  14. [19:36] IcePicklobotomy Your hand touches the cold metal and. . . You float among the stars, ancient protocols and codes whirring within yourself. The Lance pierces your side, pinning you in place, ancient codes inject themselves and you fall into dormancy as your blood splashes across the rocky land. The lance pulls free of your flesh and your other half, [Clad/Bound/Crippled] by her armor she turns away from you....
  15. [19:36] IcePicklobotomy ...You wait. His children come. They die.
  16. [19:38] IcePicklobotomy And then It comes. Your Children [Clad/Bound/Crippled] in their armor fight. The free themselves and fight like Gods. They die. It comes. It's too late. It always was. A world dies.
  17. [19:40] IcePicklobotomy Kasra: You link and. . . You are standing atop a barren red rock, floating in the void. Streams of golden light shift and flow like water, other chunks of rock float as well, some holding rubble or wreckage, some the skeletal remnants of plants or animals. But it's all dead.
  18. [19:43] Kasra "...did we...fail?"
  19. [19:43] IcePicklobotomy There is no answer. Not even the stirring of the twind.
