  1. AT&T sales representatives are happy to assist you with your questions.
  2.
  3. AT&T sales representatives will not have access to your personal account. This service is provided to you under AT&Ts Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  4. You are now chatting with Nicholas B., an AT&T sales representative.
  5. Nicholas B.: Welcome to AT&T online Sales support. How may I help you with placing your order today?
  6. Mike: Hi I'm trying to find if there's an iPhone6 available in Philadelphia
  7. Nicholas B.: Hello, I would love to help you with that today Mike.
  8. Nicholas B.: There is not in store but we could ship that out to your home if you would like?
  9. Mike: nah I'm trying not to wait
  10. Mike: but thank you
  11. Mike: also I'm curious about the iPhone6 and AT&T next plan
  12. Nicholas B.: AT&T Next is a way for you to get a new smartphone as often as every 12 months. AT&T Next breaks your device cost into monthly installments. With AT&T Next 12, you can trade in for a new smartphone after 12 monthly payments or choose to keep it, and after 20 monthly payments, the phone is yours. With AT&T Next 18, you can trade in for a new smartphone after 18 monthly payments or choose to keep it, and after 24 monthly payments, the device is yours. No matter which AT&T Next term you choose, there is no down payment, activation, upgrade or financing fees are required - only sales tax on the device is due at the time of purchase.

  14. Mike: is there a way to pick up an iphone at the apple store and have it upgrade me to AT&T next in store?
  15. Nicholas B.: those are online only currently
  16. Mike: I'm confused as to why I can't do this in store. Apple has iPhone6 in store for me to pick up
  17. Mike: there's no way for me to do this and upgrade to AT&T next?
  18. Mike: so I can get the phone today and not have to wait 10 days for shipping?
  19. Nicholas B.: Because the iphones 6s are online only with us for right now
  20. Mike: but apple has it in store. can't I just go buy it there
  21. Mike: ?
  22. Nicholas B.: yes you can
  23. Mike: can I then upgrade to AT&T next so I don't pay a fortune up front for the iphone?
  24. Nicholas B.: yes you can
  25. Nicholas B.: it would be just tax due today
  26. Mike: ok what's my process for doing this
  27. Mike: going to the apple store and buying a phone there, and upgrading to AT&T next?
  28. Mike: all at once?
  29. Nicholas B.: You can only get AT&T next with AT&T not in apple stores
  30. Mike: you're confusing me
  31. Mike: I'm trying to get a physical iphone in hand today, while upgrading to AT&T next
  32. Mike: Apple store has the phone in stock
  33. Nicholas B.: AT&T next is only through AT&Tthat is not a service plan if you get that from apple you would buy it outright then bring it over to us
  34. Mike: is there a way to buy that phone with an AT&T next plan?
  35. Nicholas B.: yes online with me
  36. Mike: and I could have the phone today instead of waiting weeks for shipping?
  37. Nicholas B.: it would be ther ein 1 wk
  38. Mike: ok
  39. Mike: thanks
  40. Mike: so, if I'm looking at a 64GB iPhone6 with a Next12 plan, that's an extra #37.45/month right?
  41. Nicholas B.: While I have you with me today is there anything else that I may assist you with?
  42. Nicholas B.: ye
  43. Nicholas B.: yes
  44. Mike: what's the $15 extra I'm seeing online when I look at it
  45. Mike: that's discounted from $40, I get that
  46. Mike: but is that in addition to the $20 I'm already paying for my line?
  47. Nicholas B.: that is the service plan that goes with it
  48. Mike: ah so my current service plan goes away
  49. Mike: yes?
  50. Mike: I hvae a family plan with 4 lines
  51. Nicholas B.: it is going to be the same just a little bit more
  52. Mike: that's a confusing answer
  53. Mike: are you able to see my plan now?
  54. Nicholas B.: Our newest service plans are called our Mobile Share Plans. These plans work well individually and also as family plans to! They will offer you unlimited talk and text on each device you have on the plan, which can range from 1-10 devices, then you would be able to choose however much data you would like on the plan. We currently offer 300mbs, 1,2,4,6,10,15,20,30,40 and 50gb data plan options. It would be 40$ for each line signed with a new contract on a device, and 15$ for each out of contract line or phones purchased with AT&T next (plus the AT&T next installment). To calculate the pricing of these plans we take the price per line and add the data price.
  55. Mike: what's the base rate for that plan?
  56. Mike: I'm paying $160 right now for 4 lines
  57. Mike: I saw a deal for $130 for similar
  58. Mike: is the $160 made up of $40x4?
  59. Mike: If so, how does a new iphone on AT&T next affect that?
  60. Nicholas B.: the 160 includes out of contract lines
  61. Mike: is it 40x3 + 15 + 37.50 for the iphone?
  62. Nicholas B.: at 15/line it will be 40 in contract
  63. Mike: confused by that too
  64. Mike: how long do the $25 credits/line last?
  65. Nicholas B.: you will get that discount once you are out of contract
  66. Mike: so an in contract new iphone6 costs $40 + 34.50?
  67. Mike: I thought I was saving $25/mo
  68. Nicholas B.: sorry with AT&T Nex it would be just 15$ for that line
  69. Nicholas B.: plus the installment fee forAT&t next
  70. Mike: so how much is a base contract for a family of 4
  71. Mike: if we all shift to AT&T Next
  72. Mike: 10GB
  73. Nicholas B.: 160
  74. Mike: plus each line plus each phone?
  75. Mike: we're paying 160 right now without AT&T next
  76. Nicholas B.: that includes everything besides AT&T next installmetns
  77. Mike: what happens when my dad goes and gets a new phone through AT&T next but it's a free phone that AT&T offers, the way you typically offer phones
  78. Mike: also, can one line on a contract be next and one line be non-next?
  79. Nicholas B.: it woudl not be free it is based off the full retail price of the phone
  80. Mike: but in the past he's gotten phones for $0 up front
  81. Mike: now he'd have to pay $30/month for that phone on Next?
  82. Nicholas B.: it would be just tax up front
  83. Mike: but then he'd have to pay the monthly fee for the phone, which is smething he's not used to paying. and it sounds like it will jack our bill up a lot
  84. Nicholas B.: I completely understand
  85. Mike: you said base of 4 next phones is 160, and if we each pay an extra $30 each month that's another 120, so we're looking at a bill of $280
  86. Mike: we're currently paying $180
  87. Mike: so I'm confused
  88. Mike: is there someone that can call me to talk this through?
  89. Nicholas B.: yes you can call to talk about this at 888333(6651) if you would like
  90. Mike: anyone that can call me directly so I don't have to sit on hold for half an hour?
  91. Nicholas B.: I apologize but that would be the only number to talk abotu those plans at i cannot place calls from here
  92. Mike: ok thanks for your help
