Base rules:
- Stupidity is not permitted in the room.
- Don't talk about or ask for bans and suspects in Ubers (even hypothetical) unless it is specifically made a topic by tier leaders.
- Don't be an asshole.
- Don't talk about Mega Ray and the AG change.
- If you want help with a certain tier that's not Ubers, try going to the room that is designated for that tier. For AG, go to Other Metas.
- Getting annoyed at hax is okay, but do not go on and on about it in the chat, and don't start arguments with your opponents in the chat.
- Please make sure you're relatively keeping up with the chat. It's ok if you just joined a conversation and are not aware of what was discussed a while back in the discussion, but you will NOT be forgiven for something that was JUST mentioned 2-3 lines above. It just shows you're lazy and is not acceptable.
- Asking any questions that are answered in the following FAQ would be dealt with through disciplinary action.
- If someone's not accepting your battle challenge, don't persist in challenging them. They have a right to not be pestered by you filthy noobs who are probably just challenging people out of your league anyway. Use the "Look for a Battle" button.
- In the same vein, the "Look for a Battle" button should be your first point of call if you're trying to find battles. Asking in chat should be if you're sick of battling the horrific ladder, or if you can't a ladder battle at all, in which case specifically state your reason for asking in chat.
- IF A TOUR SAYS "GEN 3/4/5 UBERS TOURNAMENT", IT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS. DON'T JOIN IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FUCKING TEAM FOR FUCKING GOD SAKE. If you join it, at the very least, go and steal a team from "Sample teams" page. If you join a tournament with no intention of playing or you're just a retard for not reading WHAT THE FUCK THE TOURNEY IS FOR, then you can cop a roomban.
- In a similar vein, if you join a tournament and leave before you play a match without telling anyone, we're also going assume that you don't have a team and are just trying to get out of getting banned, in which case we'd just ban your ass anyway. If you DC'd, PM one of the mods and explain what happened so we can unban you.
- Posting a replay which you think is good VERY occasionally is fine. Spamming them is not. Don't do it.
- This is a PS-wide thing as well, but don't ask for auth. The more you do it, the less likely you are to get it.
- Any Pokemon Showdown global rules will also apply to the Ubers room.

Topics that annoy certain people or just the room in general, or are just things you should try and avoid if you don't want to get zapped:
- Tier changes - Things getting banned to Ubers is outside of Ubers control, and we try as hard as possible not to ban anything from Ubers.
- Magikarp jokes - No-one finds this funny. It was never funny and it never will be. Saying stupid things like "Magikarp4Ubers" makes you look like a total shithead.
- Golduck - Yes, we get Primal Groudon is a huge threat. Golduck, however, is not a counter by any measure, so stop suggesting it. Just because it has Cloud Nine and can OHKO Groudon with a Water move does not make it a counter, nor does it make it viable in the tier.
- Don't ask to be promoted. Our own counsel we shall on who is to be promoted.
- If a mod takes disciplinary action on another user, think twice before questioning it. Most of the time, if you read about 5-10 lines up you'll find the reason right there, or there might have been some sort of context that explains why that mod took that disciplinary action.
- Asking what a good set/Pokemon/spread is without providing any extra detail - you'll just get an answer to the tune of "depends on your team" and a beautiful picture of a dead Heatran pasted in chat.
- RestTalk + Boosting Pokemon - Don't use the Cro prefix for anything other than Crocune. Cromat (the creator of the Crocune set) created the Crocune set and Crocune only. The prefix does not apply to any other Pokemon apart from Suicune. You don't call CM + 3 attacks Kyogre "SuperOgre" just because CM + 3 attacks Jirachi is called "Superachi" or Sub/Iron Defense/Baton Pass Scolipede "ScoliJump" because Sub/CM/Pass Espeon was called "EspyJump". Smogon has moved away from using eponymous set names, so stop applying "Cro" to everything not named Suicune.
- RestoChesto or ChestoResto - You might think a rhyming move combo sounds smart or poetic... if you're fucking childish. And stupid.
- Ubers does not include all species because Mega Rayquaza is banned - It still does include all species because Rayquaza itself is not banned. Mega Ray is a separate forme, but still under the same Pokedex number, therefore all species are still included. Stop trying to find something to be a smartass about because no-one would think it's funny you stupid-head.
- Complaining about using legendaries - You must be a fucking retard if you're complaining about people using legendaries in the UBERS metagame. Firstly, just because something is legendary doesn't mean it's overpowered (hi Phione); secondly, seeing as Ubers is the place where people PURPOSEFULLY use overpowered things, you'd better get used to people using cover legends, or you can just gtfo.
- First rule of Fight Club - you do not talk about Fight Club.
- Voldemort is He Who Must Not Be Named for a reason.
- Wonder Guard in imaginary Pokemon discussions - Yes, we all like to dream about cool new Pokemon/formes that could shake up the metagame, and talking about it is fine. However, there gets to a point where you get too far because the Pokemon dreamt up are way to overpowered and would make the game stupid. Wonder Guard is basically the extreme end of this. It is literally the Godwin's Law of Pokemon theorymoning, any mention of it and you know there's nothing else to talk about.

Q:  Can someone battle me? (or any of the infinite variants)
A:  Use the look for a battle button. Seriously, I have no idea how people miss this button. If you're sick of the ladder, or can't find a battle after clicking the button and waiting for a while (not finding your battle within a minute is not an excuse), please mention it specifically in the chat so you don't look like one of those nubs who hasn't even tried.

Q:  How do I get voice?
A:  Fuck off
A2:  1) Don't ask for voice. 2) You get voice by being active and helpful in the chat.

Q:  When's the next tour?
A:  In a few minutes, bitch.

The default is that you are allowed to scout, since you must be pretty sad if you need counterteam someone for a room tourney. A:  Waaa waaaa. Go to the Overused room if you want to discuss that. We're not here to discuss OU tiering. Although we can't guarantee people won't be hostile if you bring it up, so... take it or leave it.

A: Firstly, it probably doesn't even suck and has its own niche. Most of the Pokemon that have been banned to Ubers actually find a use here. Second and more importantly, performance in Ubers plays no role in deciding whether a Pokemon is banned to Ubers, but rather if it was broken in OU.
