  1. >Lynn and Ronnie Anne
  2. >casual one-on-one soccer game in the park
  3. >gotta see if she's up to snuff if she's gonna date her brother, right?
  4. >It's a sunny day and they'd already been playing for a while
  5. >Lynn's sweating like a hog.
  6. >Ronnie Anne's in front of the "goal" (two trees that were kinda close together)
  7. >Lynn's running the ball, she's ready to score
  8. >for the first time in her life, she overshoots the ball and stumbles
  9. >like the male lead in every bad romantic comedy ever made, she ends up falling directly on top of the poor girl
  10. >"Watch it, Loud!", Ronnie yelps
  11. >Lynn realizes how close she is right now
  12. >and how small and vulnerable Ronnie Anne looks right now
  13. >and how hard she's blushing right now
  14. >and how cute she is right now
  15. >Lincoln's girlfriend
  16. >Oh no.
  17.
  18. >when you're an athlete, you can't rely on thinking to do the work for you
  19. >some sports just involve allowing your body to be carried by complete instinct
  20. >Lynn switches her mind into "instinct" mode for a moment and gives Ronnie Anne a kiss
  21. >wet, sloppy, awkward
  22. >her technique is not great, but this is one of those sports Lynn Loud is still an amateur at
  23. >Ronnie's lips are soft and a little spicy - she probably just had lunch
  24. >after she's had her fill, she pulls away, leaving a thick trail of saliva running from Lynn's mouth to Ronnie's
  25. >Lynn's higher brain functions are working again
  26. >Oh, looks like she just played tonsil tennis with her brother's girlfriend
  27. >who is also the sister of her older sister's boyfriend
  28. >Wait, she can still save this!
  29. >"Uh, looks like that CPR training I got came in handy, ha ha!" Lynn said, rubbing the back of her neck
  30. >"I thought you were a goner for a mo-"
  31. >Lynn is interrupted by a right hook to the jaw
  32. >it feels like she got hit by a railgun
  33. >no wonder Lincoln was intimidated by her
  34.
  35. >Lynn recoils from the hit
  36. >She's on the defensive now, staggering backwards
  37. >Ronnie Anne curses in Spanish.
  38. >"What the heck is your problem?!" Ronnie Anne shouts, spitting out the remaining traces of Lynn Loud in her mouth
  39. >"Is your whole family full of crazy people?"
  40. >Lynn feels like she dodged the wrong way on this one.
  41. >"Wait, wait, wait!"
  42. >Ronnie kicks the soccer ball away in anger
  43. >"Is this normal for your family? Are all of your sisters going to want a piece of me now? Oh my gosh, do you guys share Bobby too? That's sick!"
  44. >"Wait, wait, WAIT!"
  45. >Lynn's gonna go hoarse from shouting so much
  46. >It's starting to sink in how badly she screwed this one up.
  47. >"I don't want to hear it! I'm gonna go right home and tell Bobby how screwed up all of you are. Don't talk to me anymore!"
  48. >"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry!"
  49. >"Shut up! I don't want to hear it!
  50. >Ronnie Anne is all tuckered out from the yelling contest
  51. >Now she's propping herself up against one of the goalpost trees
  52. >trying not to cry so much
  53. >"I screwed up. I screwed up, I'm sorry! But you can't just walk out of our lives!
  54. >You have no idea how much you mean to Lincoln! You have no idea how much Bobby means to Lori!
  55. >They're not crazy, it's just me. I'm the one that's sick. I- I can understand if you don't want to talk to me anymore. But please don't hurt Lincoln or Lori.
  56. >I'm sorry."
  57. >In another universe, Ronnie might have accepted that apology outright, and they'd kiss and make up (metaphorically)
  58. >Or maybe she'd turn up her nose and run away, never to speak to a Loud again
  59. >Well, that's not what happened.
  60. >Instead, Ronnie Anne, to the surprise of even herself, said this:
  61. >"Convince me."
  62.
  63. >"What's that?"
  64. >Ronnie Anne is looking redder than a meatball sub right now
  65. >"I s-said, convince me. Convince me that you're sorry."
  66. >She's trying to be aloof now, but she's betraying her sudden shyness and stammering.
  67. >That is so hot!
  68. >"I'm not sure what you mean," Lynn said, hoping that she did mean what Lynn thought she meant.
  69. >"You know what I'm talking about. Come on over here."
  70. >Somehow, Lynn felt a lot heavier than usual
  71. >She dragged her feet on the way.
  72. >"Don't make me walk all the way over there, lame-o."
  73. >Hearing Ronnie call her by her pet name for Lincoln inspired Lynn to quicken her pace.
  74. >Ronnie was trying to look casual up against the tree.
  75. >"You know something, lame-o?" she said, as nonchalantly as possible.
  76. >"You're the kind of girl who wants to be the best at everything, right?"
  77. >That's mostly accurate. "Well..."
  78. >"Well, Lynn Loud, I'm gonna tell you right now that your brother was a better kisser than you are. What do you think of that?"
  79. >Lynn's head is all fuzzy now. What DOES she think of that? She doesn't know.
  80. >"Anyway, lame-o, since I'm so nice, I'm going to help you get better.
  81. >THIS is what a real kiss is like."
  82. >Lynn gets pulled in so quickly she doesn't even realize it happened at first
  83. >Ronnie's got one hand on the back of Lynn's head gently pushing her mouth into hers.
  84. >A lot slower and sweeter than Lynn's attempt, but then again it's not difficult to be softer and sweeter than Lynn.
  85. >Lynn has a sudden urge to grab Ronnie's little hand with hers.
  86. >Surreptitiously she slips her calloused fingers between Ronnie Anne's as Ronnie gets to work untying Lynn's hair
  87. >Lynn is a bit surprised when Ronnie sneaks her tongue right into her mouth
  88. >it takes some restraint not to bite it
  89. >was she this forward when she kissed Lincoln?
  90. >Lynn tries the same tactic and worms her way into Ronnie's mouth
  91. >her tongue lays flat in there like a big pink blob
  92. >Ronnie swishes her own tongue around a bit until Lynn gets the idea
  93.
  94. >They finally pull apart
  95. >Lynn is thunderstruck
  96. >Ronnie's face has returned to its natural smug look
  97. >"Not bad, lame-o!" Ronnie says, smirking. "You'll get the hang of it eventually."
  98. >"Where did you learn that stuff?" Lynn asks.
  99. >"I'm self-taught," Ronnie bragged. "I mean, I picked up some stuff from those soaps Bobby watches, but it's mostly just natural talent."
  100. >"You're, uh, pretty good," Lynn admits
  101. >"Well, hey, you convinced me! See ya."
  102. >Ronnie started to walk away.
  103. >"Wait! What about Lincoln?"
  104. >She looks back
  105. >"I like Lincoln. And I like you! You know him, he'd probably get all upset over this if he knew about it, so let's keep it between us."
  106. >"I guess that makes sense..."
  107. >"Great! And hey, practice that thing with your tongue. I'm expecting you to be better next time."
  108. >"I'll make sure to - wait, next time? What do you mean, next time?"
  109. >Ronnie grinned from ear to ear
  110. >"You didn't think that this was gonna be a one-off thing, did you?"
  111.
  112. >This was the first time of many that Ronnie Anne and Lynn would continue their little game.
