Minisession 05-C/F-8

DATE: Feb. 26th
PLACE: Miscellaneous Park

* Cole had been primarily isolated from the rest of the Wanderers for about a month, and came to the realization that the answers he was looking for would be easier found if he had allies.  Perhaps even...friends.  So, here he was, in a park.  A park with people in it.  He couldn't help but look a bit creepy as he glanced around; he hadn't fully adjusted to this 'don't read people's minds all the time' thing just yet.
* Kuji yawns and he lets his lets Mint and Raft play a game of PUNCH PUNCH PRACTICE something. It's a typical "Salino's at work and Kuji's bored" day.
* Cole would continue walking through the park, that had people in it.  Then, he saw someone vaguely familiar; he was pretty sure, in fact, that it was another Wanderer.  Huzzah!  So now, he would go to speak to someone he had some sort of common ground and/or interest with.  Couldn't hurt, right?
* Kuji looks up from that bench to see a person hovering around. "Uh, can I help you?"
* Cole looks towards Kuji, and then finds himself at the uncomfortable crossroads explaining who the hell he was and why the hell he was talking to him.  He began with a short wave; a bit of an uncomfortable one, but then again, that's probably why it was sure.  "Hello.  I apologize, but I think I know you from somewhere."
<Kuji> "..."
* Kuji thinks about it...
<Kuji> "...from... the circus?"
* Cole snaps as he recalls it now.  "Ah, yes, the circus!  I was the one who could read minds."
<Kuji> "..." Kuji had totally forgot that as well. "...uh... okay..."
* Kuji turns back to his magazine and flips a few pages. "So, how are you?"
* Cole realizes that Kuji probably...doesn't actually remember Cole at all.  "You...do not remember.  That's all right, I barely do myself.  I was attempting social interaction.  I...can see that I've failed miserably."
<Kuji> "Huh? Yeah, you pretty much did." Kuji shrugged. "Anyways, my name's Kuji Kotodes. Yours?"
* Cole had picked up the habit of extending his hand for a handshake from his Dewott, Deius, although Cole was certainly much more reasonable about it.  "Cole Rosenburgh."
* Kuji shook Cole's hand, a tight girp around his hand as he shook it. "Nice to meet you again, Cole. You gonna let your Pokemon play in the park?" He gestures to his two Pokemon, doing INTENSE TRAINING or something.
* Cole looked around a little bit.  "I don't see why not..."  He then released two of his own Pokemon; first, the aforementioned Dewott, and a somewhat shy Kirlia, Athena.  The first thing Deius did upon exit was, naturally, clap.
* Kuji nods as he points out his Pokemon, a Scraggy that he called Raft and a Meditite he got from a friend, Mint.
* Cole decides to sit down, watching, Deius, seeming to be able to tell when he's in combat or not by instinct, extending a hand to the INTENSE pokemon of Kuji.  Yes, that hand was a shell.
<Kuji> Both of the Pokemon nod to agree to take a break, before both of them nod at the Dewott. "Haha, you've got nice Pokemon there." Kuji says, before looking at the Kirila. "Ow, he doesn't like to play that much?"
<Cole> Athena, who is a SHE, thank you very much, simply stays quiet, hanging behind the greeting Dewott, who still has his shell-hand out, not quite getting that no one's going to shake his hand.  "She's always been sort of shy."
<Kuji> "Oh, it's a she? Huh." Both of the Pokemon look to each other before shaking the shell... and Raft taps Deius with his head and runs off! Mint floats himself quickly away. "Hahaha, looks like there's playing tag or something."
* Cole watches, Deius blinking at the foreign sort of interaction, then kind of getting it as he runs after Raft, and is pretty fast, and seems to be taking this new game rather seriously.
<Kuji> They all run off, Raft eventually being tagged and running after Mint, who was hightailing it around the park. Kuji goes back to his magazine, an article interviewing the amazing SKY UPPERCUT!
* Cole watches the silly game that Dewott seemed to be viewing as some sort of training excercise, by the way he was reacting to it.  "Seems Deius hasn't fully gotten that this is just for fun...ah, well, he's got the idea of it, though.  And he seems to be enjoying himself regardless."
<Kuji> "It's for fun? I thought it was for running practice... hm..." Kuji shrugs as he looks up to see the action. Raft has caught up to Mint by now, and she's been going back to try to catch Athena!
* Cole watches a little bit, and can't help but think that Deius and Kuji have something in common...meanwhile, Athena sees Mint coming for her, and starts running away; she seems to have the opposite thought of this being a scary situation!
<Kuji> Welp, that sucks, because Mint is closing in on her, almost catching up to her!  "Hm..." he glances at his cell phone, noticing the time. "Oh, we better get going. Raft! Mint!" Both of them turn around and head back to Kuji, who pats them on their heads. "Good work you guys." He recalls them and nods to Cole. "Nice to see you again Cole. See ya later."
* Cole gives a short nod, going over to comfort Athena and congratulate Deius, giving a short nod to Kuji.  "Nice to see you, too, Kuji."  He would then shortly recall the two Pokemon, feeling good about his interaction today.
