  1. With Amaryllis explanation to Magnus the young wyrmling growled loudly, annoyed by how no one noticed her own involvement in creation of the village, resulting with her snorting loudly before deciding to approach the old man with er nose moving rapidly, smelling him for a moment before deciding to narrow her eyes and bring her nose close to him, curious of his reaction to her attempt to show her lack of hostility.
  2.
  3. As typical child who had went through hostility she became curious, wanting to know more about the man that arrived, even if she couldn't speak on her own.
  4. (Wyr'ama)
  5. [05:06:08] Wyr'ama: (brb lunch)
  6. [05:06:08] Magnus Brakkacia: (I'll wait on Chance-u's post
  7. [05:06:59] The sunflower beamed like a star, coating the modest village in rays of gold and orange. To the left of it a figure could be seen in the distance, easy to miss at first, a tangle of blue vines wrapping around his upper body with the lower half sunk into the waters.
  8.
  9. His eyes were closed, and the green dangled down along his body likes vines, settled against the water's surface.
  10.
  11. On closer inspection, his face was an exact replica of Maia Hirano's.
  12. (Sanseveria)
  13. [05:09:32] Magnus Brakkacia: (Oh, go ahead Ludi
  14. [05:12:06] Ludi Moondew: (oh no, feel free to pretype)
  15. [05:18:56] The sudden influx of people around her showed her that the village was slowly waking up for the day. Still being the shy and coy lady that she is, Ludi chose to be silent as the man and Amaryllis continued to converse.
  16.
  17. Suddenly, the dragon rose from her resting position as she looked down upon the old man. His reaction was the complete opposite to Ludi's, calm and not as interested. He nonchalantly examined the dragon as he slowly looked at Ludi, giving her a quick nod.
  18.
  19. Huh. Ludi could not fathom how someone could just calmly approach a dragon. Then again, she has seen mere eight year olds call forth the powers of the elements as if it were second nature, such a man could prove to have more power.
  20.
  21. Standing up once more, she looks at the man, bowing down her head as she greets him.
  22.
  23. "G-good morning sir."
  24. (Ludi Moondew)
  25. [05:19:47] "Hmm? Sanse, as in Sansevieria? I'd thought he'd died." It was said rather bluntly, with little tact and with not much surprise. Perhaps the latter was due to age. "Still, I've met him before, back when he was just a parasite... if you can call it meeting it's not as if we spoke. And I understand that Sanse could mean anyone, but I can put two and two together. And if he calls himself lord of the whispering willows then it's him alright."
  26.
  27. A small sigh was given, one that seemed to deflate Magnus greatly. "Perhaps he remembers me. After all, if it wasn't for my efforts both he and his host would have died far earlier... Anyway, sunflower village... that really is a terrible name. Almost as bad as New Alteros." The staff was given extra weight as it sank slightly in the soil, giving Magnus somewhere to lean.
  28.
  29. His eyes scanned around, catching something off in the distance, at first it was just a mana signature that he recognised, an old memory, one almost lost to age. But it was enough to draw his attention and, looking beyond that, he saw something that confirmed all of his suspicions. A small nod was given in not-Maia's direction before he turned back to face the dragon and the girl.
  30.
  31. "As an old friend of mine would put it. You guys are just being shamefully neutral, hiding away from everything so that you don't have to worry about war... But that's how she would put it, I'd at least use more tact. And tell you to hurry up and pick a side. Granted, there is always room for a third in these kinds of conflicts." A smoking pipe was pulled from somewhere in his jacket as his pale eyes shifted over to the dragon once more.
  32.
  33. "I've never been keen on your kind, I'll say that now. But perhaps you'll end up being different from the last few hundred I've met..." And, as if suddenly remembering himself, he managed to stop before he drew out any tobacco for the pipe. Given his current company, they might not take too kindly to somebody burning plant-life before them.
  34.
  35. "Still. My name's Magnus Brakkacia and it's rather nice to meet you all."
  36. (Magnus Brakkacia)
  37. [05:26:36] Magnus Brakkacia: (DId, uh, my post go through?
  38. [05:27:28] Ludi Moondew: (yeah but i think amaryllis is next and they're not here)
  39. [05:27:28] Magnus Brakkacia: (Alex had to go
  40. [05:27:28] Magnus Brakkacia: (And Urthrem is eating lunch
  41. [05:27:28] Ludi Moondew: (oh yeah)
  42. [05:28:19] Ludi Moondew: (well...)
  43. [05:30:52] Ludi Moondew: (hold on, let me see if i can write a post before they get back)
  44. [05:45:23] She didn't really have a place in the village to verbally defend it. She was merely a visitor, and not a charismatic one either. Yet she herself was rattled with the man's words. There wasn't really anything wrong choosing to stay neutral and avoid conflict. Heck she's been like that her whole life. Azrael or Kraus? Neither. She has always tried to balance what she does and always making sure both parties of a problem got what they wanted. War to her was just a complete waste of time, money, energy, and lives with nothing in return except pain and regret.
  45.
  46. This is why she has always seen Tilandre and its downfall to be quite sad as it tried its best to be diplomatic in their ways, only to recieve to sharp end of the stick. Ludi has never really thought about it this deep.
  47.
  48. "I-its their village, maybe it's their choice t-to stay in the shadows..."
  49.
  50. Crap. Her stuttering. She really needs to become more charismatic in life, she can't even say a word properly. God this was eating her up inside quite immensely.
  51.
  52. "B-besides. I think its b-better to be a secluded, h-hidden, thriving village over a war t-torn and broken village in turmoil."
  53. (Ludi Moondew)
  54. [05:50:30] Ludi Moondew: (brb gonna relog real quick)
  55. [05:52:12] Samael's head turned quickly to an unfamiliar voice, his eyes settling upon Magnus with little consideration of how strange it may be to stare. The power of this stranger was undeniable, if he came here on his own accord and showed no fear.
  56.
  57. The jungle man moved closer, hoping to get close enough to sniff him, even. Though it was unlikely to be allowed..
  58.
  59. Vines rustled upon his scalp in place of where hair should be, faint whistling and whispers came from the spriteling that resided within him symbiotically.
  60.
  61. Fresh experiences.. so much knowledge could be obtained, yes?
  62.
  63. "I am Samael. Do you come for tea?", he chimed with a musing tone, circling around Magnus like a curious primate.
  64. (Samael)
  65. [05:57:20] Magnus Brakkacia: (I'll give urthrem a little while longer to return before I just post again
  66. [06:04:09] "Well, staying in the shadows doesn't work forever little miss... Sooner or later the light comes to pierce it and you'd just better hope it's the warm light of friendship rather than the flickering glow of mob's torches... I probably could have said that better, but the allegory stands. Might be best to make friends now rather than wait for enemies to show up..."
  67.
  68. "Or make enemies now if it comes to that. Either or works." The leaning posture was adjusted a little as Samael approached. Magnus didn't move away, simply giving the strange man an equally strange glance. "Tea would be ice, actually. And you're the first person to offer any sort of hospitality at least. I haven't had anything lavish to drink since I left."
  69.
  70. The base of the staff is twisted further into the dirt as vines spring up from the base, morphing around into a small chair like shape, which Magnus proceeded to gently collapse into. "Now then, you're all druids are you? Let's see what you can do then. I've been practicing nature magic for over 60 years, let's see if you can impress me."
  71. (Magnus Brakkacia)
