inb4 a person reading thins thinks Talonflame should be banned to Ubers. If you have ever had a hard time with Talonflame, you know what to run by now lol. This Talon is walled exactly by those same mons, except Thundurus & Raikou now. I kind of lied about Outspeeding only Raikou, I outspeed much more faster threats :] (P.S. lol I'm not max speed tho) Talon is one of the best revenge killers in the tier and on this team, though BIRD's job is quite hard when the meta has established to a point where SR on a team is mandatory (breaks sashes, screws many potent sweepers, etc). However, this doesnt mean Talonflame does not get it's job done.

Swords Dance: Since I'm not running the Banded set, I dont havethe "scary power" that people think Talonflame has. So, to make up for it, I am running SD, to set up on many mons who dislike dealing with Talonflame. This makes me revenge kill a plethora of mons that otherwise wouldn't be with a Banded set (Lati@s and Terrakion come to mind). Also, it makes me capable of dealing (and possibly KO'ing) Defensive Lando-T, who is the number 1 Talon switch in in this current Meta.

Brave Bird: Priority. If you don't have this in OU, you're kind of screwed. This move is easily one of the strongest in OU, rivaled by few. While it may seem like a mon stopped by Thundy, it truly is not. At +2, Thundy fails to cripple or KO Talonflame...

That happens. The number 1 Bird Spam check on offensive teams falls to Talon, meaning I am much more capable of breaking through teams with this fellow. It also doesnt fear setting up alongside Charizard X, since at +2, I can OHKO it a majority of the time at +2

Against BulkyZardX. Offensive ZardX aint got shit lol. The best counter to this set are Defensive Lando-T, Defensive Rotom-W/H, Defensive Zapdos, and Max speed Jolly Talonflame (lol). Truly something to prepare for in this metagame.

Flare Blitz: Fuck u opposing Ferro, get yo leech seeds off my Gliscor. Fuck u too, Raikou. And Magnezone.

Roost: Potentially being able to come in on Taunted Clefable, this could serve me for some free recovery while it switches out, meaning Talonflame can survive longer. Also works against Scarf Lando-T who will U-Turn, but the risk is USUALLY not worth it.
