  7. [2016-03-09 13:56:12] <Mare-Do-Well> 3With a pop, the draconequus appears next to Get_Lost's left ear. With a low chuckle, he whispers, "Oh don't worry. They're not going to be going nearly as far away as they think."

  9. [2016-03-09 13:56:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The snow shifts to rain again. The wind picks up. There are shouts of concern from the other ships.
  10. [2016-03-09 13:56:33] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart frowns. "It must be a side-effect of the magic. Which is worrying, to say the least."

  12. [2016-03-09 13:57:01] <Mare-Do-Well> 3In a brilliant flash, Pan appears on the table amidst all the quarreling zebra captains, taking on the size of a full draconequus to tower over everyone. "Oh for Chaos' sake!" he roars. He has to bend his body, his horns still scraping the roof of the cabin.

Why don't you, you, you..." he starts pointing at the Captain of each of the six most powerful pirate families, "...you, you, (and I guess) you each pick someone you trust from your crew and send them /with/ these ponies to go fetch your pretty, precious cup!?"
  14. [2016-03-09 13:57:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"That way, nostripe can steal it from anystripe!" CopyCat realizes, bizarrely, that she is hearing the chaos spirit speak in every language she knows simultaneously. Golden_Dream, meanwhile, is only hearing it in Equestrian. "Okay? Good!..."

  17. [2016-03-09 13:57:41] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The /Skullcrusher/ pirate airship is instantly transformed into the /Skullcrusher/ submarine. The now-detached balloons begin to float upwards as the ship begins to fall.
  18. [2016-03-09 13:57:48] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Pan roars, "NOW GET ON WITH IT!" and vanishes in another flash.

  20. [2016-03-09 13:58:47] <Mare-Do-Well> 3A shadow falls over Shatara. Shatara blinkblinks as the spear pops back into his talons. He barely has time to look at it puzzledly before the strange shadow falls. He looks up towards what could be above him, squawks in alarm, and flies very very fast in a horizontal fashion.
  21. [2016-03-09 13:59:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The shadow passes, as the /Skullcrusher/ belly-flops into the lake a few yards away, sending a waves of water at the catbird. The catbird is not there when the wave hits the shore and splashes down.

  26. [2016-03-09 14:00:16] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Bookwright begins to make for the /Skullcrusher/ . "Looks like we're all going to end up going through the portal anyways... I hope this won't delay us too long."

  31. [2016-03-09 14:01:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The pirates are gathering themselves, most having taken some powerful bangs and bruises from the fall. No one seems seriously injured though. Aside from Golden_Dream, the one taking it the worst is the Captain of the /Skullcrusher/, who is currently bellowing for Pan to be hunted down, dragged back, and made to fix his ship.
  32. [2016-03-09 14:06:34] * Get_Lost decides that she likes the style of this spirit. at least he gets things done. sure, by limiting the ability of others to speak their minds, but hey, that's corporate ways of doing things. she has corporation in her blood, after all
  33. [2016-03-09 14:11:46] * Mitzi gently sets Hunter back on top of her head, wiggling her ears to amuse him
  34. [2016-03-09 14:19:35] * Noble_Heart had experienced freefall in the past. Though it was never a pleasant experience. Instead she does her best to brace herself and brake with her wings before hitting the ground. Landing slowly with a frown. "Well. We were not expecting that, We admit."
  35. [2016-03-09 14:19:38] * Golden_Dream pat pats themselves. "So. We know what's on the other side is at least. Water. About this here pond's worth. Actually, at this point, exactly this here pond's worth."
  36. [2016-03-09 14:19:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Soon, everyone is gathered on the /Skullcrusher/. Except Pan, who steadfastly doesn't appear in obedience to the ranting ship's Captain.
  37. [2016-03-09 14:20:52] * Mitzi wobbles a bit as the ship bobs on the water. "At least Eef Uh fall off Dis un Uh kin swim."
  38. [2016-03-09 14:21:27] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Captains of the other ships are responding to the surprise and worries of their respective crews. One by one, they each return to their ships. While there is resistance to the idea of following the chaos spirit's advice, they have all seen what it can do, and none are eager to irritate it again.

  40. [2016-03-09 14:21:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Already there is talk about who from each ship will be assigned to the newly submersible /Skullcrusher/.
  41. [2016-03-09 14:22:15] * Mitzi looks to Bookwright with a smirk. "Me too."
  42. [2016-03-09 14:24:47] * Get_Lost smiles at bookie "don't worry! i can't swim for my life"
  43. [2016-03-09 14:25:04] * Bookwright blanches. "Er, that's not a good thing."
  44. [2016-03-09 14:25:08] * Noble_Heart ruffles her feathers. "We are not particularly built for the ocean. But it seems today We shall have to make due."
  45. [2016-03-09 14:26:37] * Shatara cautiously approaches Bookwright. "Do we have any depth charges? Cause if you want one of them fishies..."
  46. [2016-03-09 14:27:33] * Bookwright shakes his head. "I saw enough from the shore. And besides... we're going through the portal anyways."
  47. [2016-03-09 14:33:19] * CopyCat reaches her front hooves forward and arches her back, stretching out like a kitty who had just gotten up after a long refreshing nap. The general buzz of activity had her energized, as seen in the swishing of her tail. "Adventure!"
  48. [2016-03-09 14:34:39] * Get_Lost yells with copy "adventure! sexy outfits!"
  49. [2016-03-09 14:35:23] * Golden_Dream looks between everyone. "Adventure gets y' killed, sexy outfits don't protect worth a shit." BUZZKILL MODE ENGAGED. "Now how're we getting down there, again?"
  50. [2016-03-09 14:36:24] * Noble_Heart sweeps a wing around the cabin. "Have you not been paying attention? Our friend Pan has already provided the means to reach Our goal."
  51. [2016-03-09 14:38:40] * Get_Lost smiles and nodnods "we have our ouwn underwater ship! this mean that we need hookers. so, it IS sexy outfits time"
  52. [2016-03-09 14:46:16] * Mare-Do-Well 3starts a mental rundown. "Okay, I'm solid now... but I'm not alive. I don't have to breathe, so I can't drown..." She pauses. "Should be fine."
  53. [2016-03-09 14:47:06] * Mitzi looks over to Mare-Do-Well, "Yu eez not alive?"
  54. [2016-03-09 14:47:59] * Mare-Do-Well 3shakes her head. "I've manifested thanks to that megaspell, but I'm still a ghost. Just a really solid ghost."
  55. [2016-03-09 14:48:17] * Mitzi raises an eyebrow. "Ghosts eez just stories."
  56. [2016-03-09 14:48:36] * Mare-Do-Well 3replies, "Boo!"
  57. [2016-03-09 14:49:25] * Mitzi tilts her head, but Hunter jumps and cowers behind her ears. "Yu eez not scaree enuff tu be ghost aneeways."
  58. [2016-03-09 14:49:29] * Get_Lost "after all i've seen, i definitely believe in ghosts"
  59. [2016-03-09 14:50:37] * Mare-Do-Well 3heys, "Hey!"
  60. [2016-03-09 14:51:00] * Mitzi poitns a claw at Mare-Do-Well. "Rainbows eez not scaree."
  61. [2016-03-09 14:51:19] <Mitzi> "Dey eez pretty." She smirks toothily
  62. [2016-03-09 14:53:01] * Bookwright "Are you sure? I was almost positive that they made you cry. Or is that me...?"
  63. [2016-03-09 14:53:45] * Get_Lost whispers to the dog "for the little i kow, she used to kill dragons during the war"
  64. [2016-03-09 14:54:47] * Mitzi blinks at Get_Lost, then looks back to Mare-Do-Well, "Yu keeled a dragun?"
  65. [2016-03-09 14:58:19] * Mare-Do-Well 3hrumphs
  66. [2016-03-09 14:58:34] * Noble_Heart frowns at that. "She was the leader of the Ministry of Awesome and the Shadowbolts. One of Equestria's greatest war heroes. For whatever definition one has of heroes in war, in any case." She furrows her brow. "Though We admit to not knowing many details of her history."
  67. [2016-03-09 14:58:47] * Mare-Do-Well 3then nods
  68. [2016-03-09 14:59:52] * Noble_Heart points out as well, "The first Pegasus to rebel against the Enclave and risk her life to help the surface. Who died trying to carry out one of her friend's last wishes. We should think she deserves respect, if nothing else."
  69. [2016-03-09 14:59:56] * Mare-Do-Well 3takes a proud pose... one you may have seen on war posters. "Yep. That's me!"
  70. [2016-03-09 15:00:42] * Mitzi looks to Mare-Do-Well, then nods. "Dat eez eempressive. Not scaree, but Uh kin respect eet. Ur fathur might too, he also keeled a dragon unce."
  71. [2016-03-09 15:01:15] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"Loyal to the end. ...and then, y'know... beyond." She sits, looking suddenly morose.
  72. [2016-03-09 15:02:08] * Noble_Heart smiles to Mare-Do-Well. "We do not know how much you know of what happened after the war. But you should be proud. Without your last acts, it is doubtful that the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows would have come to pass." she nods her head, "Indeed it's highly probable that the Enclave would have completed their attack on the surface."
  73. [2016-03-09 15:07:53] * Mare-Do-Well 3looks up. She admits after a moment of silence, "I don't know much... but I would like to hear."
  74. [2016-03-09 15:10:31] * Get_Lost offers "shall we get on the vessel and submerge?"
  75. [2016-03-09 15:23:06] * CopyCat stands and flexes her wings before folding them back against her sides. I'm ready to head down. The question is whether the pirates have stopped shouting at each other yet or not." Then she corrects herself, "Whether the pirates have reached some semblance of agreement during their shouting."
  76. [2016-03-09 15:24:53] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Six pirate zebras begin to board the ship, one by one, one from each of the most important Families.
  77. [2016-03-09 15:25:39] * Noble_Heart nods her head to Mare-Do-Well. "We do not think there is time to recount the tale now. But perhaps you should speak to Bookwright about it? We are certain he would be happy to share the history you have missed."
  78. [2016-03-09 15:25:51] * CopyCat claps her hooves together happily. "We have an accord! An accord of pirates!"
  79. [2016-03-09 15:26:14] * Bookwright nods.
  80. [2016-03-09 15:29:38] * Get_Lost "well, does somepony, or catbird, know how to move this thing?"
  81. [2016-03-09 15:35:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The last to join the crew is Mwana, representing the Wameli family.
  82. [2016-03-09 15:37:22] * CopyCat turns her winning smile at Get_Lost. "We were maybe hoping that you could take a look at the controls and see if you could make heads or tails of them..." she bats her eyelashes. "Pretty please?"
  83. [2016-03-09 15:38:42] * Get_Lost nodnods, a bit hesitant "usually it is shatara that turns the wheel...."
  84. [2016-03-09 15:39:57] * Shatara fidgets a bit. "I'm sure driving underwatership is the same as driving airship...right...?"
  85. [2016-03-09 15:40:07] * Golden_Dream runs up and gives Mwana a package of putrescent-smelling pastries. "Y'sure yer favorite fruit ain't these here strawberry 'nanners?"
  86. [2016-03-09 15:40:25] * Bookwright "Air and water are both fluids. The principles are largely the same."
  87. [2016-03-09 15:47:45] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana chuckles and takes the gift.
  88. [2016-03-09 15:51:41] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The best dressed of the six pirates stride forward. "Cordus Vespertilio," he introduces himself using the griffin tongue. "Transformed as it is, the /Skullcrusher/ is still our ship. And in the absence of her Captain, as First Mate, I am in charge."
  89. [2016-03-09 15:55:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Another familiar face separates himself from the others. Gundi Kifalme politely dips his fancy hat to Noble_Heart before turning to Cordus. In the zebra tongue, he informs the Vespertilio, "You may be in charge of this ship, but not of the expedition." Mwana provides translation for the Equestrians.
  90. [2016-03-09 15:58:04] * Noble_Heart dips her own hat with her magic and even offers a brief bow.
  91. [2016-03-09 15:59:27] * Shatara glances between Noble_Heart and Cordus, somewhat hesitantly translating him.
  92. [2016-03-09 16:00:09] * Get_Lost sighs "please tell then that if they don't stop chatting and start working right now, i'm going to do it in ten..."
  93. [2016-03-09 16:00:17] * Get_Lost "nine..."
  94. [2016-03-09 16:06:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Cordus bristles slightly, but seems to accept the declaration of the Kifalme. He then turns to the ships controls and, after a moment, commands, "Take us down." The pirates look to each other with mixed expressions of confusion and annoyance.
  95. [2016-03-09 16:07:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Cordus and Gundi exchange looks. Mwana asks simply, "Does anyone know how to make the ship sink?"
  96. [2016-03-09 16:10:06] * Get_Lost sghs "shatara, these guys are clueless... i'll start the engine, you take the commands, let's figure out how this thing works"
  97. [2016-03-09 16:10:54] * Shatara rolls his eyes, setting to work figuring out the helm.
  98. [2016-03-09 16:11:08] * Bookwright mumbles something about it not being diving, but sinking with style.
  99. [2016-03-09 16:11:12] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One of the other pirates facehoofs. "I'll try to figure it out," she tells Mwana. She starts to stride forward, only to look surprised when Get_Lost and Shatara are several hoofsteps ahead of her.
  100. [2016-03-09 16:12:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra follows behind the cyberpony, the two heading for the engines.
  101. [2016-03-09 16:15:27] * Get_Lost and with the operating of the engines, the song starts "in the town, where i was born, lived a mare, who sailed to sea"
  102. [2016-03-09 16:15:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara and Get_Lost quickly figure out the workings of engines and helm. The zebra who followed to the engine room soon lends assistance. She cannot understand Get_Lost, but has a good enough grasp of mechanics to figure out what is being called for.
  103. [2016-03-09 16:16:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The /Skullcrusher/ begins to slip beneath the surface of the lake.
  104. [2016-03-09 16:17:06] * Noble_Heart steps up to take a position where she can see those gathered around. "Shatara! Bring us down slowly. While We trust Pan's workmanship, We are uncertain what dangers may await below." She noticeably does -not- ask the permission of the two zebras ostensibly in charge before beginning to give orders.
  105. [2016-03-09 16:20:25] * Get_Lost "we all live in a pirate submarine, pirate submarine, pirate submarine!" is in a good mood, sings, does stuff
  106. [2016-03-09 16:29:01] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Cordus seems on the verge of taking issue with Noble_Heart's assumption of command. Gundi appears to be just fine with it - more relieved that progress is being made than concerned with who is making it.
  107. [2016-03-09 16:30:10] * Shatara ever so gingerly handles the controls, not quite sure whether to fear the impending 3-way powerstruggle or the giant metal-shredding doompiranahs outside more.
  108. [2016-03-09 16:30:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra with Get_Lost spends equal time doing what she can and staring at Get.
  109. [2016-03-09 16:31:23] * Get_Lost laughs a lot, sings even more, is having a lot of fun
  110. [2016-03-09 16:31:27] * Bookwright is staring out a porthole into the blue waters
  111. [2016-03-09 16:31:54] * Mitzi whines a bit and covers her ears as they submerge. "Dat poppeen... eez wurse den sky boat."
  112. [2016-03-09 16:32:06] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana searches until he finds a bow porthole and watches.
  113. [2016-03-09 16:33:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The water quickly becomes too dark to see anything... save for small moving lights.
  114. [2016-03-09 16:33:55] * Get_Lost calls out "tell me when we passed the sea of green!"
  115. [2016-03-09 16:34:36] <Mare-Do-Well> 3A cluster of those lights nears the porthole that Bookwright is looking through, only to break apart and scatter the moment the /Skullcrusher/ gets close enough for Bookwright to determine they are fish of some sort.
  116. [2016-03-09 16:34:54] * CopyCat prepares to distract Cordus with her wit and charm. Even without the ability to read his mind she'd been around enough self-important types to flatter his ego with one breath and lead him astray with another.
  117. [2016-03-09 16:35:58] * Get_Lost "you know, the power armor had night vision inbuilt..."
  118. [2016-03-09 16:46:23] * Get_Lost keeps working on the engine and waits for something to happen
  119. [2016-03-09 16:50:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Those at the windows can see a bit of the closest walls of the blue hole, the limestone covered in layers of green, blue and lavender bacterial growth. There is little life down here besides the bacteria and the bio-luminescent doom-fish
  120. [2016-03-09 16:52:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks over to Shatara. "Those fish had big teeth, right?" Looking out again, he muses, "There doesn't seem to be anything for them to eat. I think they must be coming through the portal."
  121. [2016-03-09 16:55:58] * Bookwright "I think the fish might be artificial. Or at least magical."
  122. [2016-03-09 16:57:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Along the nearest wall, huge and curving spines of bone jut out at regular intervals, the skeletal ribcage of a giant creature who once called the blue hole home.
  123. [2016-03-09 16:57:58] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana asks Bookwright, "Why artificial?"
  124. [2016-03-09 16:59:43] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Ahead and deep below, a shimmering ring of light hovers in the nearly black water.
  125. [2016-03-09 17:01:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana translates Gundi's announcement, "That would appear to be the portal."
  126. [2016-03-09 17:01:41] * Bookwright "Because I'm paranoid about the other side of the portal. And think about it. If you had huge resources and a deep lake to defend, wouldn't you make defensive fish robots?"
  127. [2016-03-09 17:02:01] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Gundi continues to announce, "It is clearly still open. No sign of the /Rainbow Connection/ or the Griffin's Goblet." With a resigned tone, "They must be on the other side."
  128. [2016-03-09 17:02:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks at Bookwright skeptically. "You've been friends with Get_Lost a long time, haven't you?"
  129. [2016-03-09 17:03:42] * Bookwright returns the look quizzically. "What gave it away?"
  130. [2016-03-09 17:04:24] * Noble_Heart waves a hoof in the direction of the portal. "Bring us down, Shatara. Line us up with the portal. Do not take us through yet." She wished to get at least a brief look at the portal before they headed in.
  131. [2016-03-09 17:04:58] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra in the engine room finally introduces herself to the singing cyberpony. "Chombo Cruentos," she says hopefully.
  132. [2016-03-09 17:05:17] * Get_Lost frowns "why not? i want to see the other side..."
  133. [2016-03-09 17:06:06] * Shatara eases back the throttles gently. "I would think sharks with laser beams would work better..."
  134. [2016-03-09 17:06:13] * Get_Lost smiles broadly at the mechanic "get los solaris" then shakes her hoof
  135. [2016-03-09 17:06:41] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Chombo smiles back, getting her hoof shaken.
  136. [2016-03-09 17:06:58] * Get_Lost looks in her bags and offers her a sparkle cola "here, let's kill the last two" opens both bottles
  137. [2016-03-09 17:08:01] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Chombo grins, takes the offered soda, and drinks heartily. She looks surprised at the taste.
  138. [2016-03-09 17:10:34] * Get_Lost "ready to go where nopony went before? well, actually, at least a zebra and a griffon, but nopny, so... technically true" giggles
  139. [2016-03-09 17:14:29] * Golden_Dream stares out the window, with this humbled look on her face. "If it weren't terrifyin', it'd be beautiful."
  140. [2016-03-09 17:15:44] * Get_Lost calls from the engine room "hey princesses, before we proceed, does one of you two want to put on the armor?"
  141. [2016-03-09 17:22:46] * Noble_Heart moves up to peer out of the viewport. "Alright, Shatara, take us through. Slowly."
  142. [2016-03-09 17:23:03] * Shatara eases the throttles forward as directed.
  143. [2016-03-09 17:23:41] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The two yet unnamed zebra pirates talk worriedly to each other in zebra.
  144. [2016-03-09 17:24:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The /Skullcrusher/ glides through the portal.
  145. [2016-03-09 17:24:21] * Get_Lost calls from the engine room "engines one quarter, power runs smoothly, get this baby through, nostromo!"
  146. [2016-03-09 17:25:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3There is no immediate change, save for the position of the shimmering ring.
  147. [2016-03-09 17:27:50] * Mare-Do-Well 3moves up next to Mwana and stares out the portal. "Well, that was anti-climat...WHOA!" The cyan pegasus steps back as a large sea serpent swims past, red scales filling the view through the portal. Bookwright sees it pass by through his portal as well.
  148. [2016-03-09 17:28:36] * Noble_Heart stares wide-eyed at the sudden appearance of the sea serpent. That was... Concerning. "Shatara! Bring us towards the surface. As fast as you can safely manage."

  175. [2016-03-09 17:49:12] * Bookwright flips open a notebook. "Red scaled sea serpent immediately attacked us when we crossed the portal. However, cannon fire has injured it and the trail of red blood has attracted other smaller fish... they are bioluminescent."
  176. [2016-03-09 17:49:47] * Get_Lost "the freezinator! close the breach with it NOW or we will lose speed!"
  177. [2016-03-09 17:50:13] * Get_Lost "if too much water comes in we wil lstart to sink!"
  178. [2016-03-09 17:51:36] * Bookwright reluctantly stops writing and puts the notebook away. "Fine. Shatara, which bag has the freezinator?"
  179. [2016-03-09 17:51:56] * Shatara jams the controls in place with a convenient crowbar, digging out the freezinator and presenting it to Bookwright.
  180. [2016-03-09 17:52:57] * Bookwright collects it and rushes to the nearest breach, pointing the freezinator roughly at it and hoping that it doesn't explode in his face as he triggers it.
