+Bill Burns __ Thanks for letting me know - it seems to be that over the years blu-ray has had issues with playing some YouTube videos. That some videos still work for you suggests it might have something to do with the video format I am uploading to YouTube (unless the videos that work for you are older and YouTube has since made changes). Either way, I'll look into it - so thanks again for letting me know!

+Bill Burns __ At your leisure, if you can provide a link to a recent video that does work and a recent railroad video that does not work - I'll see if I can figure it out (your links will end up in spam but I'll fish them out). I would love to believe I am being persecuted, though! It would explain many things! But, my inclination is to think the "algorithm" persecutes by directing people to garbage content rather than making "undesirable" videos unplayable.

But, there may be something to what you say. Apparently, YouTube assigns mysterious codes to each video (ostensibly for advertising/monetisation purposes) - it may be that some videos are getting _even more mysterious_ codes causing them to not play on some devices.

if I could prove what you are suggesting, then that would be something! It would be proof of censorship where the goal is to frustrate a viewer so he or she moves on to another video that does work - and forgets all about the one that didn't.

(No rush - take your time - as it's unlikely I'll be able to figure out anything, anyway.)

+Bill Burns __ Cheers - I have watched the eerily fascinating train videos (it made me want to jump on the back of a train) - now to figure out why they may be causing an issue. It's unlikely I'll find the reason but now I am at least aware of the issue. Thanks again for letting me know!
