  1. Motivation of a Hacktivist- by Higinio Ochoa/W0rmer
  2. I write this because, somewhere, at sometime, someone is going to try and figure out why I crossed the line from grey, to black hat. Many I'm sure, will agree with me, when I say that why someone does something, is far more important then the action itself. So please before you pass judgement, let me express my reasons and hopefully inspire others to come forward and let the wolrd know why THEY fight.
  3. Like most of America, I was lost in apathy when in 2000, the United States passed the 'Millenium Act'. Completely unaware of the slippery slope this law created, I sat by, and laughed at the idea that America would let the Federal Government have this much control of our communications, unchecked. I knew that someday my skills would be called apon. From that day on I trained and honed my skills ,for a war I forsaw comming much sooner, then later.
  4. Fast forward to the day wikileaks released cable gate and Bradly Manning was fingered for the "crime". I watched as Americans called this hero a traito even after watching the leaked video's of our troops killing "enemies" as if in a video game. This act outraged me and I knew my time had come.
  5. I created a twitter account and sifted through the news absorbing all i could, re-tweeting and posting to facebook what I saw as a direct attack on the American way. I watched helplessly as America's federal government lost all fear of its people and blatently held an American, who's only crime was to try and educate the world of the atrocities and backroom deals our government was making in OUR name for months without trial.
  6. I watched from afar as /b/ raids slowed and anonymous operations increased. Then it happened. Visa & Mastercard stopped processing money for wikileaks. Could this really be happening? Did somewhere along the way the federal government get so big they could stop wikileaks from defending themselves and collecting funds to do so? Had my government really thought that they were untouchable and the world would stay silent? They had, and they did.
  7. Although I refused to load my laser to help take down these services, I helped train others and activly promoted Operation Payback. One after the other sites slowed then fell. To me proving that anonymous had exactly what I was waiting for, Support of my fellow Americans, that day the voice of the world was heard and although that voice was silent, it was deafening. From that point on I knew I would never be the same and action must be taken.
  8. A short while later Operation Empire State Rebellion was started and the occupy movement was reborn. After months of promotion and with the fallout of Presstorm I knew it was time to take to the streets myself. I moved to my hometown and helped create an Occupation there. This movement was grassroots and very few could openly share our views without fear of losing their jobs. These jobs were not glamorous but where I was where i was any job beat no job at all. Protest after protest I saw the good the movement was creating and lent my skills to improve the voice of this small Occupy camp. We had everything from take-over attempts from local politicians to infiltraitors from local and federal aggitaters. As the local occupation wound down I packed up and headed to Occupy Fortworth where the police harrasment was quickly getting out of hand. My actions there helped stall the viloence.
  9. My local occupation got very little resistance from police as our state was at such a poverty level even the law enforcement felt the pain.
  10. Report after report came in of police abuse across the nation and the only protectors of those people and their rights came through anonymous.
  11. This unconventional war NEEDED unconventional retailiation and the doxes came fast.
  12. I had only been onsite for 5-10 mins at occupy Fortworth when I saw and video recorded first hand the unprovocated beating of an occupier with nothing less then the american flag. This was it, I could no longer sit idly by and allow this to continue. My government had declared war on its people and my apathy was now completly erased. I reached out to anonymous and they delivered, for my appreciation I took an oath to stop playing by their rules, and 'join' this spear-head movement.
  13. I returned to my home occupy, set them up with all the knowledge and resources they needed to broadcast to a world audiance, then set forth to defend what rights we had left and return the favor to anonymous by protecting Occupations all over the nation. With both my knowledge and skills.
  14. I am not fueld by malicious intent, but by a moral obligation to protect those who wish to protect others, and their rights. Many operations that I did participate in , I did so because of the failure of the justice system, to engrain a simple ounce of responcibility into the people commiting these crimes against humanity. I and many others have watched protestors abused, children murdered, and wars waged as both our government and news outlets ignored these ongoing atrocities.
  15. Every time I logged on I knew that my enemies would be watching but that nothing they could do to me would be worse then me failing to stand against them. I do not just fight against oppresive world government, out of control police, or corrupt politicians, I fight for those unable , or denied the right to.
  16. I choose to stand up against a world which is constantly lied to, so much in fact that it has actually gotten used to it; Accepted that to be safe and secure our elected officials must make back room deals, lie to our faces and wage wars in our name.
  17. Every operation I have ever been a part of has played duel roles, One, to bring to justice those deemed untouchable and two to slowly educate those willing to understand that there is a real world wide calling for change, that will only continue to grow as the world's apathy declines.
  18. You do not have to be a hacker to be anonymous, each individual must find and define their own level of participation. I chose the route I did because of my knowledge of computer systems and what I see as an urgency to let Americans know that each piece of information we provide to our government and corperations which they claim is kept secure and private is infact , the very opposite.
  19. Daily, 'trained' individuals are given power to secure our infrastructure, paid thousands of dollars and given teams of simularly 'trained' professionals to keep these systems and information private. Yet daily, flaws within this system are exposed by self trained individuals and instead of improving these systems we are hunted and arrested. In this time and age at a peak of information collection, information IS power. It is time for the governments of this world to admit to the people they givern that the collected information is neither safe, nor secure. SOMETHING MUST be done.
  20. Time after time anonymous has shown that millions of peoples personal information is left unsecured and completely open to exposure. It is my personal opinion that the only reaction these governing bodies have reacted with is fear mongering and dis-information. If there was ever a time to stand up against these misguided and misrepresentations it is now.
  21. The revolution will not be televised, it simply wont be allowed. I fought daily against human nature, those in power will not relinquish the power given blindly to them, we MUST take it back!
  22. As I connot contest to my own future, I can only assume the federal government in all its fear will try its hardest to deny me access to the only tool i have Knowledge to weild, the computer. My lively-hood will be taken from me , as im sure my government fears, not only the good im able to bring out with it , but the truths i might reveal. To me this proves that for the first time in hundreds of years our government finally fears its people, something our founding fathers would surely be proud of. After-all that is one ideal that they themselves faught for.
  23. I applaud those still activly fighting and wish to thank you for allowing me the oppertunity to not only fight along side you, but the oppertunity to have my voice heard. Do not fear the changes we are bringing forth, the threats thrown at us as from those uneducated of our cause, or those threatened by the power we wield. Do not stray from the good fight we bring, and never comprimise your personal ideals to become one of the sheeple. Educate yourself and those around you on the real injustices going on around the world.
  24. Never stop learning, but never forget to pass on this knowledge so that when the time comes the world will look apon our actions, and much like myself, not only thank you, but feel obligated to join you in this fight not just for cival but human rights.
  25. I am anonymous.
  26. I do not forgive.
  27. I do not forget.
  28. -Higinio Ochoa
