  1. Laura woke up.
  2.
  3. The grey ceilings of her room greeted her instantly, right after the moment she opened her eyes. She pushed herself up, the 30 year old woman, confused with her dream. She rarely gets nightmares, but this one was a real headache. She shook it off, and looked to her left and right. A wall, and her small table. Yep, this was her room. She took the glasses, before adjusting them into the base of her nose and readying her eyes. "I don't suppose it's Tuesday..? Hopefully not." she prayed to God, before opening her eyes completely, granting herself her vision back to her mind's seat.
  4.
  5. She readied herself off of the mattress and off the bed, not forgetting to take her clothes along with herself, wearing them as she wakes up. She mumbles a bit, maybe a tiny curse or a soft yawn, before opening the door out. She frowned to see the empty corridors, matching her leisure. The doors were asleep, as her small sols' texture puffed at her soft feet her fair gown and small blazer following her soft motions all the way. "At least those boys aren't running around.." she commented, remembering the laughter and candy that they brought to her life. Neighbors. She reached the front of the building, just exactly 5 meters away from the door. The 'hotel' room she was renting was rented with her own money, but it was as comfortable as she could hope, and not as obnoxious as her nightmares. "..but company is important." she concluded.
  6.
  7. She decided to go out, regardless of the fact that the sun is still sleeping. She felt the fresh, dawn air wash her face and her body, exhilarating feelings running through her mind. This was as she remembered. She ran a small business of flowers, books and sometimes food, but it was just.. boring for her. It has been time-filling nonetheless, but her choice of activities were the one with someone.
  8.
  9. She eyed a young man, maybe in his very early 20's? Yeah. He was 20 years old, and was a person she would see everyday regardless of the time and circumstances. He would appear and disappear in a moment's time. "Hello..?" she finally braved herself to speak, her body arching forward from the building's tiny doorway, her glasses dashing and sparkling like a crystal lake's shine. The man quickly jolted his head to where the female voice came, his short ponytail swishing left and right for a brief moment, reminiscent of a clock's mechanic clockwork. "Uhm, good morning!" he replied back, awkward and lost for words in front of the woman. Laura wanted to jolt back her head and look away, shyly, but she took over her motor senses and stayed by. "It is. I've seen you countless of times before, sir. Mind if I get your name, so my curiosity wouldn't stay by?" she asked, smiling.
  10.
  11. How the times passed, and how little the couple changed.
  12.
  13. "Can you take this to Jared, Laura? He's supposed to get it yesterday, but I was kinda busy. Send him my apologies, and please come back as soon as you can." he said to Laura, asking for help. His coat swayed slightly in the wind, and shortly afterwards, he opened the doors out of the apothecary, or so you could say. "Of course, you too!" she replied, taking the small white plastic bag, and following outside. The cold breeze impacted on both of their faces, though Laura was grateful to have her blazer, and her husband was too with the coat he wore, and the small ponytail's sway. "Da svidaniya." she said, in which he replied with a laugh. "It's just going to be five minutes, dear. Wait for me, or I will wait for you." he replied, clutching the small bag with him, the medical and doctor's supply jiggling inside momentarily. Laura also giggled, her short (but not too short) curly (bot not too curly) hair getting pushed back by the wind. The sky was beaming to both of them.
  14.
  15. Darkness soon faded. The light soon dissipated. The moon said goodbye to the sun, and both change their shifts, now the moon in duty. The birds were gone, changed by the gleaming stars. The strong Russian and Belgium houses decorated the streets with glamour, as the rivers of the Netherlands pushed through the ground like a silver knife's stroke, to a perfect slice of butter. Laura eyed the moon silently, the cobble stairs behind her, and her feet dangling above the calm currents. It was as if everything had gone wrong for her, in such a perfect night. There was no sound of explosions, no gunfire nor any flashes in a distance.
  16.
  17. It was just quiet.
  18.
  19. The first thing to pop up in Laura's hand was her tears. She had not noticed them before, were they there before, or was she just waiting for herself to notice? The stars bowed down to her head, applying a sympathetic smile, and a sad frown.
  20.
  21. "I know you'll come back." she said.
  22. "I know you'd keep your promise." she exclaimed.
  23. "I know you won't make my imaginations false." she sobbed.
  24. "I know that you'd soon come back, like you always did." she cried.
  25. "I know every time you made a promise, there was nothing to stop it from being completed." she shouted.
  26.
  27. "I know that even if it didn't.." she paused.
  28. "..we'll meet again, and apologize. Everything will come back." she stated.
  29.
  30. "I know we'll meet again."
