LG Optimus G Download Mode

If you see ANY LG or Google logo on your screen... DOWNLOAD MODE HAS TO WORK!!

Can't get into download mode? You're probably doing it wrong.

Try the following...

A.
1. Unplug USB cable from the phone.
2. Power off the device COMPLETELY. Reboot loop? Hold the power button for 1-3 minutes until device is off.
3. Press and hold both Volume Up and Down buttons(press in the middle is easiest way to do this)
4. With Vol. buttons held down... plug in the USB cable that's connected to your computer.

You will see "Download Mode" on your screen if it worked. Didn't work? Was your device 100% off first? Did you unplug the USB cable and only plug it into the phone AFTER you were holding the volume buttons?

Still didn't work? Try the steps below. They're about the same as the above directions.. only adding in the Power Button as well...


B.
1. Unplug USB cable from the phone.
2. Power off the device COMPLETELY. Reboot loop? Hold the power button for 1-3 minutes until device is off.
3. Press and hold both Volume Up and Down buttons(press in the middle is easiest way to do this)
4. With Vol. buttons held down... press the POWER BUTTON and plug in the USB cable AT THE SAME TIME.

It's all about timing and pressing the correct buttons and plugging the USB cable in after holding the volume buttons(not before). If you still can't get into download mode... but you're positive you see the LG or Google logo on your screen.... you suck.. try again.
